A trophy to be won!
The next day, Liv woke up bright and early, filled with excitement and anticipation for her new job. She had been looking forward to this opportunity for a long time, and she wanted everything to go smoothly. Understanding Scarlet's tendency to take her time getting dressed, Liv picked up her phone and dialed Scarlet's number.
"Hey, Scarlet," Liv said cheerfully. "I hope you're awake. I just wanted to remind you not to be late. I don't want to keep my new colleagues waiting."
Scarlet, groggy from sleep, mumbled a response. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I'll be ready. Just give me a little more time, okay?"
Liv chuckled, knowing Scarlet's love for meticulously choosing her outfits. "Alright, just don't take too long. I'll see you in the living room when you're ready."
Liv headed to the living room, her heart pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement. To her surprise, she found Seth already prepared and waiting by the door.
"Good morning, Seth," Liv greeted him, a hint of surprise in her voice. "You're ready to leave for work too?"
Seth smiled warmly. "Yes, Liv. I thought I'd get an early start today. Plus, I wanted to see you off on your first day at your new job."
Liv's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expected Seth to be ready so early, but his thoughtfulness touched her heart.
"That's really sweet of you," Liv said, feeling a surge of gratitude. "But you don't have to go out of your way. I'll be fine. Besides, I already made plans with Scarlet to go together."
Seth nodded understandingly. "I understand, Liv. It's your big day, and you should do what makes you comfortable. If you're going with Scarlet, then I won't insist. Just remember to enjoy yourself and do your best."
Liv smiled, feeling lucky to have such a supportive partner. "Thank you, Seth. I appreciate your understanding. I promise to make you proud."
Liv grabbed her bag and made her way to the living room. Scarlet, true to her word, was now ready, standing by the door with a mischievous grin.
"Ready to conquer the world, Liv?" Scarlet asked, her eyes shining with excitement.
Liv laughed and nodded. "Absolutely! Let's go and make a great impression on my first day. I'm glad you're coming with me."
Together, Liv and Scarlet stepped out of the house, ready to embark on a new chapter in Liv's professional journey.
After Liv left for work with Scarlet, Seth decided to make good use of it and attend a meeting he had scheduled at Dylan's company. Knowing that he would need a reliable mode of transportation, Seth picked up his phone and dialed his driver's number.
"Hey, James," Seth said, his voice displaying a hint of urgency. "Could you bring the Rolls Royce over to the house, please? I have a meeting at Dylan's company, and I'd like to make a grand entrance."
James, the trusted driver who had been with Seth for years, understood the importance of the occasion. "Of course, sir. I'll have the car ready for you in a few minutes."
Seth thanked James and hung up the phone, feeling a surge of excitement. He had always enjoyed the luxurious comfort of his Rolls Royce, and he knew that arriving in style would make a lasting impression at the meeting.
Shortly after, the sleek black Rolls Royce pulled up in front of Seth's house. The driver opened the door, and Seth stepped inside, admiring the opulence of the vehicle's interior. He settled into the plush leather seat and instructed James to drive him to Dylan's company.
As the car glided smoothly through the city streets, Seth's mind raced with thoughts of the upcoming meeting. He knew that the gathering would be an important opportunity to connect with influential individuals in the industry and discuss potential collaborations.
Scarlet and Liv arrived at the office, feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement. They were greeted by Dylan. Dylan welcomed them with a warm smile and guided them to his office.
"Liv, my friend, your office will be in here with me," Dylan said, gesturing towards his spacious office. "We'll be working closely together, and I want to make sure we have easy access to collaborate."
Liv's face lit up with gratitude and enthusiasm. She couldn't believe her luck in having the opportunity to work closely with someone as accomplished as Dylan. "Thank you, Dylan. I'm thrilled to be working alongside you. I'm sure we'll make a great team."
As Liv settled into her new workspace, she couldn't help but notice Scarlet's disappointment. Sensing her friend's mood, Liv turned to Dylan. "Dylan, is there a place for Scarlet too? She's an incredible assistant, and I know she would be a great asset to the team."
Dylan paused for a moment, contemplating the suggestion. He then smiled warmly at Scarlet. "You know what, Scarlet? I think you'd be perfect in the assistant's office. Your organizational skills are top-notch, and I believe you'll be a great support to the entire team."
Scarlet's pout turned into a surprised expression, her secret crush on Dylan momentarily forgotten. She nodded, a mixture of relief and excitement washing over her. "Thank you, Dylan. I appreciate the opportunity. I'll do my best to assist everyone."
With that settled, Liv and Scarlet began their new roles within the company.
As Liv and Scarlet were engaged in conversation with Dylan in his office, their discussion was suddenly interrupted by a growing commotion outside. The sounds of chanting and excited voices filled the air, drawing their attention.
Curiosity piqued, Liv's eyes widened, and she exchanged a puzzled glance with Scarlet. Dylan's expression turned serious, his eyes betraying a hint of concern. He quickly realized that Liv might be unaware of the situation unfolding outside.
"Liv, it's best if you head to your office now," Dylan said with urgency, his voice filled with a mixture of protectiveness and worry. "There's something happening outside that I need to handle. I'll fill you in as soon as I can."
Liv, sensing the gravity of the situation, nodded reluctantly. She trusted Dylan's judgment and understood that there must be a reason for his hesitation. "Alright, Dylan. Please keep me informed. Take care out there."
With a last fleeting look of curiosity, Liv turned and made her way to her new office, her heart filled with a mix of anticipation and concern. She couldn't help but wonder who this "Seth Brown" was that everyone seemed to be chanting about. The fact that he shared the same name and surname as her husband only intensified her curiosity.
As Liv settled into her office, her curiosity continued to gnaw at her. Unable to resist the temptation any longer, she found herself drawn to the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of the enigmatic Seth Brown who had caused such a commotion outside.
Peering through the glass, Liv strained her eyes to see beyond the boisterous crowd. She caught glimpses of an individual with a similar height to her husband, his back turned towards her. Her heart skipped a beat, momentarily filled with a flicker of excitement. Could it really be Seth Brown?
However, as Liv studied the figure more closely, a sense of confusion washed over her. She shook her head, trying to dismiss the thought. "No," she murmured to herself. "It can't be him. Seth isn't influential enough to cause chaos like this."
Determined to quell her curiosity and focus on her work, Liv tore her gaze away from the window. She reminded herself that her loyalty and love lay with her husband, regardless of any chance resemblance or shared name. She knew that the strength of their relationship was based on trust and support, and she refused to let fleeting curiosity overshadow that.
Returning to her desk, Liv delved into her tasks, determined to make a positive impact in her new role.
Outside the company, Dylan and Seth found themselves standing face to face, their roles as business rivals temporarily put on hold. They had been summoned to meet by an important client who held the key to a lucrative opportunity. Despite their rivalry, they knew that cooperation was essential to secure the client's favor.
Dylan, wearing a confident smirk, looked Seth in the eye. "Seth, my friend, it seems we both find ourselves in a rather intriguing situation. I must admit, I have a head start in understanding what this client truly desires."
Seth raised an eyebrow, his competitive spirit ignited. "Is that so, Dylan? Well, don't get too comfortable just yet. I have my sources, and I'm not far behind. I won't let you outmaneuver me easily."
Both men knew the stakes were high. The client's favor could potentially make or break their respective businesses. They had built their companies on a foundation of ambition, innovation, and strategic decision-making. Now, they had to put aside their rivalry and find a way to cooperate.
Dylan's smirk softened into a cunning smile. "Seth, let's set our differences aside for now. If we join forces, we can pool our knowledge and resources to present the client with an unbeatable solution. Together, we can outshine any competition and secure this opportunity for ourselves."
Seth regarded Dylan with a mix of skepticism and intrigue. He understood the logic behind Dylan's proposal. As much as he relished the thought of surpassing his rival, he also recognized the potential benefits of collaboration.
"Fine, Dylan," Seth replied, his competitive spirit unwavering. "Let's cooperate, but don't think for a second that I won't be watching closely. I'll make sure we both contribute equally, and may the best person win in the end."
Dylan extended his hand, a gesture of agreement and cooperation. Seth hesitated for a moment before firmly grasping Dylan's hand in a handshake. The tension between them held a promise of collaboration and intense competition.
In the midst of their intense business rivalry, Dylan whispered to Seth with a self-assured tone, "I'm certain I will come out on top, Seth. This opportunity is mine for the taking."
Seth, his competitive spirit undeterred, smirked and replied, "Is that so, Dylan? Don't be too confident just yet. I won't back down from a challenge."
Dylan, reveling in the tension between them, proposed a daring wager. "Let's make this interesting, Seth. A challenge between us. The winner will not only secure the client's favor but also claim Liv as their prize."
Seth's eyes widened at the audacity of the suggestion. He raised his voice, anger and protectiveness evident in his tone, "My wife is not a clickbait, Dylan! She's not an object to be won in some competition."
Dylan's smirk grew wider, his words laced with provocation. "Ah, Seth. I always knew you were afraid of me, afraid of losing. But it seems you're afraid of losing more than just a business opportunity. You're afraid of losing Liv."
Seth's face flushed with a mix of anger and determination. He responded fiercely, "I accept your challenge, Dylan. But make no mistake, I will win, not just for Liv's sake, but to prove that she's not a trophy to be won. She's my partner, my love, and I will fight for her with everything I have."
As their voices carried through the air, their rivalry intensified, fueling their dedication to the task at hand. Both Dylan and Seth were prepared to go to great lengths to secure victory, each driven by their own motivations.
