67. Freak Out

"What is this?" She still hadn't read it.

"Mr. Luca's business card."

Jonathan, who was lazing around, suddenly widened his eyes. He read the business card carefully, Luca.Design. His mind wandered in various directions with all the possibilities. Hearts and minds clashed in sync.

"Find where he lives!"

"We already did..."

The look in Jonathan's eyes indicated that he was cursing. Jayden had no more words. He could only obey, somehow.

"Alright, sir."

Jonathan was again stunned into silence, but his jaw seemed to be hardening and sharpening. There was a smoldering fire that made his anger boil over. All because of his assumptions.

Jonathan assumed that Luca had met his wife. Yes, they had met. And another sickening thing was that Luca had donated blood to Cathy. Jonathan clenched his fists tightly.

"F^^k it!" Jonathan swore. "How could I not think about this? That itchy guy Luca has ruined my world."

Jonathan had a lot of things to take care of. There was also the matter of the anonymous client who kept threatening his wife until Jonathan didn't think about the enemy's cracks coming in from the other side.

One of the biggest enemies he hadn't thought of was infidelity.

Jonathan then got up after thinking about something. Without thinking too much, he quickly put on his blaze that matched his plain white T-shirt while moving quickly.

"Oh? Mr. Jonathan?" Jayden was surprised.

"There is no need for such action. Come with me!" said Jonathan as he entered the elevator.

"Yes?"

Jonathan held down the button to leave the elevator doors open. "What are you waiting for?" His chin moved as a gesture.

"Okay, sir!"

Jayden had nothing to say but to follow behind his hurried boss. The tall, dashing man's footsteps were fast on their way to the car. Even after closing the door for him, Jayden immediately took the wheel.

"Where are we going, sir?" Jayden asked.

"Hotel 92," he replied simply. "I need to see the managing director."

At this point, Jayden planted his foot firmly on the steering wheel. The car sped up as Jayden understood what his boss wanted.

Even the staff of Hotel 92's center seemed a bit overwhelmed at the arrival of the founder's son, who served as the corporate owner. He was in charge of overseeing all activities of a hotel in the highest position.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jonathan," greeted Frederick, the general manager, who was still panting at the sudden welcome while there was a lot of staff behind him.

"Is there anything we can do for you? You've come unexpectedly. Unusual," Frederick continued. Jonathan usually let they know when he was coming, though there was no need to be surprised if he came unexpectedly.

But Jonathan was an organized man. He couldn't just show up somewhere if he didn't have to.

"I want to make sure of something while checking in periodically." Jonathan put his hands in his pockets. "I wanted to see how things would be if I didn't call."

However, one sight seemed to break Cathy's focus. The tail of her eye accidentally caught a luxury car pulling out of the driveway. To be sure, Cathy got up from her seat to get a better look.

"Jonathan?"

It wasn't the first time Cathy had had her husband disappear suddenly, but it was infuriating that Jonathan was like that when he wanted to be by her side so badly. Cathy thought Jonathan would pull himself together to hide his flushed face, but instead, he left the house.

There were so many random guesses and assumptions in her mind. She went downstairs to ask some questions of the security near the gate.

Breathing heavily, Cathy asked, "Where did my husband go?"

"We don't know, ma'am."

"Argh!" Cathy pushed her hair back.

She already knew the answer but was trying to find another possibility. So Cathy turned around and called Luca.

"My love?"

When the man's voice came to her ears, Cathy was stunned. "Luca?"

"You finally called me. How are things....?"

"Did you meet my husband?" interrupted Cathy frantically in a whisper. She pulled over to the quiet side garden.

"What?"

Cathy couldn't hide her panic. "Have you met my husband? Or... are you with him?"

Luca, on the other side, didn't even answer right away. There was silence for some time.

"Catharina, I don't even know who your husband is. You didn't tell me about him either."

Cathy choked up. Her rashness seemed to be stopped by Luca's answer. Her eyes fluttered. She was trying to digest the situation. She had not introduced her husband to Luca at all.

"Is there a problem, Cathy?"

Cathy gulped her saliva roughly. "Where are you now?"

"I'm at the cafe. I'm working on a project. Where do you want us to meet?"

The question reflexively made Cathy look around to make sure she was alone. No one was watching. "I don't know. I'd like to meet up but I can't at the moment." She looked back at the gate that was guarded by security.

"I'll pick you up. I can read you, Cathy. You're having a hard time, aren't you? Has your husband locked you up?"

"No!" snapped Cathy.

"Cathy?"

"M-I'm sorry." Cathy cursed herself for not being able to restrain herself. "Where are you now?"

"I'm not. It's not like you imagined, Luca. I'm fine. It's just that I'm not well and my husband is out. I'm sorry." Cathy rubbed her face roughly.

"All right. I don't want to force you. Tell me if you can't take it anymore. "

"Then how long will you be here?" Cathy asked.

"Until I can get you."

That answer was unexpected. Cathy widened her eyes.

Jonathan was conducting inspections in the various divisions of the central hotel under his auspices. 92 Living oversees several hotels, apartments, and clusters spread across America, and Hotel 92 is the headquarters of 92 Living.

"Thank you for your hard work," Jonathan said, to which Frederick and his team nodded politely.

"Then can I help you again, sir?" asked Frederick.

"I'll have all the hotels under us check the identity of this guest." Jonathan showed him a business card.
