Chapter 30

"I'm the leader of Bloody Scar, and it's my duty to protect and guide my pack," he stated firmly.

"I understand, but that doesn't mean you should shoulder all the blame for what transpired. The Rogues' attack was sudden and beyond your control, Alpha," I reasoned.

His clenched fist and sigh in response to my words indicated his frustration. I wasn't sure how to feel about his visible anger.

"I must retrieve the fang. Even if I have to go alone, I will! Dragus needs to learn a lesson. He underestimates who he's up against!" he declared angrily.

"I know you," my mind whispered.

I placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, trying to soothe his agitation. Our eyes met, but I quickly averted mine, unable to hold his gaze for long.

"Let's head back inside. It's late, Alpha. We can address this tomorrow," I suggested.

"Alright, Amelia. I apologize if I've troubled you," he said.

"No need to apologize, Alpha. I reside in your castle and am part of your pack. It's my duty to assist," I reassured him.

He smiled at my words, and we returned to the castle. As we walked through the corridor, we encountered Aryana, and I shot her a pointed look. She bowed respectfully to Alpha Damien.

"If it's permissible, may I speak with you, Alpha?" she inquired softly.

I felt a surge of protectiveness at her request. I glanced at Alpha, waiting for his response.

"I need to rest, Aryana," he replied seriously.

I smirked inwardly, knowing that Alpha Damien had heeded my unspoken desire the last time.

Aryana's frustration was evident on her face as she pleaded with Alpha to make him talk to her. However, he still refused to grant her permission.

"Don't push yourself if he doesn't want to talk, Aryana," I advised.

"I'm not talking to you!" she snapped, clearly annoyed.

"That's enough! Aryana, please leave now!" Alpha firmly stated.

"I don't know what that woman has done to make you obey her like that, Alpha. It's disrespectful, but I've lost my respect for you!" Aryana responded firmly before storming out.

I heard Alpha Dior sigh, and I tried to calm him down. That woman always managed to get under my skin.

"I really can't stand that woman's attitude!" I grumbled, annoyed.

"That's enough, Crema. I should take you to your room now," he responded seriously.

I nodded, and as we reached the front door, we bid each other goodbye. I couldn't help but wonder if I was also affected by what was happening to him. I should be happy, though, as my plans were slowly falling into place. I took deep breaths to calm myself during those moments.

I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes, eventually falling asleep without realizing it.

In my dream, I heard my mother begging and my father screaming as Alpha mercilessly killed him. Alpha's demonic face was visible, and his demonic laughter echoed in my ears. Fear gripped me as he approached me, and I let out a strong scream. I woke up from the nightmare, my body covered in sweat. I got up to get a drink of water, taking deep breaths to calm myself down.

"You're a demon, Alpha Damien! You deserve to suffer!" I firmly said to myself.

I held my chest, reminding myself of the promise I made to my parents. The justice I had been seeking for so long. I couldn't let my emotions get the best of me, nor should I feel guilty. He didn't show mercy when he killed my parents, so I had to strengthen my resolve to carry out my plans.

I couldn't sleep again, haunted by that terrible nightmare. I apologized to my parents, knowing they understand my true emotions. They wouldn't want me to pity the demonic creature that took their lives. "I'm sorry, Mom, Dad. I shouldn't feel remorse for that demonic man.

The Alpha who brutally ended you!" I said with tears in my eyes. I couldn't stop crying, unsure of the reasons behind my emotions. I looked at myself in the mirror, wiped away my tears, and took a deep breath to compose myself.

After a shower, I got dressed, put on makeup, and stared at my reflection.

"I'll drive you mad, Alpha. You'll obey my every command," I smirked. Fixing my hair, I left my room and encountered a panicked Alice in the corridor.

"Hi Alice, what's wrong?" I inquired.

"I'm worried about Alpha Damien, Amelia," he replied anxiously.

"Why? What happened?" I asked, feeling concerned.

"He left alone to pursue the Rogues. Norman wanted to go with him, but he refused.

We were all too scared to disobey his orders," Alice explained.

"What?!" I exclaimed in shock.

Conflicted emotions swirled within me. Should I be relieved at the thought of him not returning, or worried about his safety as he faced the Rogues alone?

The fact that he didn't bid me farewell before leaving disgusted me. "Why didn't he say goodbye to me?!" I grumbled. "Perhaps he didn't want you to feel sorry for him, Amelia. Let's pray for his safety and hope he reclaims the Fang," Alice suggested calmly.

"Wait, are you really going to let him face them alone?!" I questioned firmly.

"There's nothing we can do. Alpha Dior ordered us to stay put in the Castle. I trust his strength to defeat the Rogues," Martha replied nonchalantly.

Feeling conflicted, I pondered my next move. Unsure of where to find him, I decided to seek out Aries.

"Where's Aries?" I inquired.

"He's in the treatment room, tending to the wounded wolves," Alice informed me.

Heading towards the treatment room, I found Aries helping a man to his feet. I gazed at him intently.

"Will you come with me, Norman?" I asked earnestly.

"Where to?" he questioned.

"Do you really have no intention of following Alpha?" I pressed.

"He strictly prohibited us from doing so, Amelia," Norman responded.

Concerned for Alpha's safety, I persisted, "Don't you think he might be in danger from the Rogues?"

"Is that how you see him, Amelia?" Aries questioned seriously.

His words struck a nerve, reminding me of the past. I recalled the tragic loss of my parents at the hands of Alpha. Despite my inner turmoil, I left the room and encountered Aryana preparing to leave the Castle.

"Where are you headed, Aryana?" I asked.

Pausing briefly, she turned to face me before replying, "I'm going to follow Alpha."

"Why would you do that?" I probed.

"He strictly forbade us from following him," she added.
