Chapter 125 Finding the Criminal

Jagger turned to Jasmine and gave her a slight nod.

"Hey, Jagger," Jasmine said with a polite smile.

Jagger nodded back. "It's getting late. I'll take you home."

"Sure," Jasmine agreed, hopping into the car with Isabella.

Jagger started the engine and drove away from the restaurant.

As the car disappeared into the distance, Cecilia Thorne, who had been watching from the corner, turned and walked away. Under the dim streetlights, her shadow stretched long, giving off a lonely vibe.

Back at the Cooper Villa, Isabella finished her nighttime routine and lay in bed, unable to sleep. The image of that woman and her familiar eyes kept replaying in her mind. 'Who is she? Why does she seem so familiar?' Isabella wondered. After a while, she shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She grabbed her phone and video-called Alexander. His handsome face soon appeared on the screen.

"Still up?" Alexander asked gently.

"I can't sleep," Isabella pouted.

"What's up? Missing me?" Alexander teased with a smile.

"Yeah, I miss you," Isabella admitted without hesitation.

"Good girl, I miss you too," Alexander said softly. "I'll be back as soon as I finish my work, okay?"

"Okay," Isabella nodded.

Seeing her looking down, Alexander asked, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Isabella hesitated, then told Alexander about the incident at the bar.

After hearing her story, Alexander's expression darkened, and a cold glint appeared in his eyes.

"It's good you're okay. If anything had happened to you, I..." Alexander frowned deeply, unable to finish the thought.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Isabella reassured him. "Besides, that woman was amazing. She scared off those guys easily."

"Don't go to places like that anymore. It's too dangerous," Alexander said firmly.

"Got it," Isabella agreed.

Still worried, Alexander added, "I've arranged for bodyguards to be with you starting tomorrow. Wherever you go, they must accompany you, understand?"

"Bodyguards?" Isabella stared at the screen in surprise.

"Be good and listen to me. It's for your safety," Alexander said patiently.

"Alright," Isabella agreed, knowing he meant well.

"Okay, it's late. Get some sleep," Alexander said softly.

"Alright, you too. Goodnight." Isabella kissed the phone screen.

"Goodnight, baby," Alexander said, kissing the screen before hanging up.

Isabella rolled around in bed, her mind still on that woman. She felt she should at least thank her properly.

Thinking of this, Isabella picked up her phone and messaged Jasmine: [Jasmine, should we properly thank the woman who helped us tonight?]

Jasmine replied almost instantly: [Absolutely! If it weren't for her, we would have been in big trouble tonight! I've been looking into her. She often performs at the Timeless Bar and was guest performing with Echo Band that night!]

Isabella smiled and texted back: [What do you think would be a good gift?]

Jasmine quickly sent a voice message. Isabella played it and heard Jasmine's excited voice: "I think a delicate bracelet would be perfect! She looked so cool, she would probably like that style of gift!"

Isabella's eyes lit up and she replied: [Great idea! Let's do it, we'll go in a couple of days!]

Jasmine: [OK!]

Two days later, Isabella, with the bodyguards Alexander had arranged and Jasmine, brought carefully selected gifts to the bar where the woman worked.

Isabella saw the woman busy at the bar and waved happily. "Hey! It's good to see you! By the way, what's your name?"

The woman looked up and smiled when she saw Isabella and Jasmine. "I'm Cecilia Thorne. What brings you here?"

"Good to see you, Cecilia. We came to thank you for helping us that night!" Jasmine said, handing over a gift box. "This is a little something from us, hope you like it."

Isabella quickly handed over her gift as well, saying sweetly, "Thank you for saving us that night. We wouldn't have known what to do without you."

Cecilia looked at their sincere eyes and shook her head with a smile. "You're welcome. I just did what anyone would do. I can't accept it."

"No, no, you must accept it!" Jasmine insisted, pushing the gift into Cecilia's hands. "Consider it a token of friendship!"

Cecilia smiled helplessly and accepted the gift. "Alright, thank you."

"No need to thank us!" Isabella smiled brightly.

"By the way, how did you know I work here?" Cecilia asked while wiping a glass.

"That's a secret!" Jasmine said mysteriously. Isabella giggled, knowing Jasmine had put in a lot of effort to find Cecilia.

"Alright, alright, enough about that. What would you like to drink?" Cecilia asked with a smile.

"I'll have an orange juice!" Isabella raised her hand quickly.

"An iced Americano, please," Jasmine said.

"Okay, just a moment." Cecilia nodded and turned to prepare the drinks.

Watching Cecilia's busy figure, Isabella and Jasmine exchanged smiles, feeling a warm sensation in their hearts.

As Isabella and Jasmine were chatting with Cecilia, the bar door suddenly opened, and a tall, imposing figure appeared at the entrance. His cold, stern face and sharp eyes instantly quieted the bustling bar.

It was Jagger.

"Everyone, sorry to interrupt, we're conducting an investigation," Jagger's deep, powerful voice sounded. "We're looking for a suspect with a distinctive mark and need to check everyone's necks."

Although the bar patrons were somewhat displeased, they didn't dare to say much upon seeing Jagger's serious expression and the police officers behind him, so they could only cooperate with the inspection.

"Lift your hair," Jagger said coldly as he approached Cecilia, his tone brooking no argument.

Cecilia raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips. She put down the cocktail shaker and slowly lifted her collar.

Jagger's gaze fell on her slender neck, where a black tattoo was faintly visible.

Seeing this, Jagger narrowed his eyes, his tone colder, his clenched fist tightening unconsciously. "Lift your hair."
