Monster

This was all wrong. And Curtis began to feel the annoying turmoil called longing. Swana's image kept dancing in his mind as if mocking Curtis who stubbornly did not want to break the mate bond but did not want to meet Swana. The man seemed to want to run away from all the problems.

"Commander, I think today is enough."

Jason and Samuel approached Curtis who was standing at the pile of monster corpses.

Curtis didn't answer. He just jumped up and gave an order.

"Take care of them. "

Curtis went to the river and took another bath. It was at times like this that he began to think of Swana. When there was nothing to do or he was alone, Swana's image was present and tormenting.

"Damn, when will your shadow not haunt me anymore, Swana?"

As Curtis was lost in his own thoughts, Samuel came over. He said that the villagers had invited the soldiers to thank Curtis.

"The village chief is throwing a party for us, please change your clothes to attend," Samuel reported.

"Why are they having a party at a vulnerable time like this?" Curtis asked in a cold tone. Anyone knew that Curtis was not very friendly after Swana left.

"They thanked us for saying monsters so that there would be no more casualties," Curtis replied.

"Ridiculous, this problem is still not solved but we're having a party. You guys should take turns standing guard. We can't let our guard down," said Curtis.

Samuel didn't dare argue so he nodded. "Yes, Commander."

Curtis finally followed Samuel. He still had to respect this village leader. The village chief would be offended if he was not present. After all, Curtis had to take care of the food supply, and the villagers were the ones who usually cooked for them even if the troops were catching deer or something.

Curtis' presence was immediately greeted with great fanfare by the villagers. The village chief was the first to come forward to welcome Curtis.

"Commander, it's an honor to meet you," said the village chief.

"You're welcome. "

Curtis' cold demeanor made the village chief awkward. Moreover, his real purpose for holding the party was to introduce his daughter. He hoped that his daughter could become a concubine.

"Commander, I-I want to introduce you to my daughter," said the Village Chief.

Soon a girl appeared with wine. She walked shyly towards Curtis. Her pretty face made him believe that Curtis would be interested in her.

"Please drink, Commander," said the girl.

Unfortunately, Curtis remained silent and ate the food. After that, he got up from the chair and looked at the chief.

"I'll keep watch to make sure this party goes smoothly."

The man actually left without looking back. The village chief and his daughter were surprised by Curtis' cold demeanor. The dream of his daughter becoming a concubine was shattered.

"Father, will my dreams be crushed?" Sarah asked. She stomped her foot and pouted.

"My dear, we can't force the Chief. He is a powerful man, so don't make trouble with him. "

"But I want to be his concubine, Father."

"Never mind, I'm afraid of dealing with him. I heard that Chief Noel and all the nobles are afraid of Chief Curtis. "

"But dad..."

"Enough. If I obey you then I'll get into trouble."

The village chief left his daughter. He joined the other villagers to party.

"You did the right thing by refusing your daughter's request, just so you know, our Chief is very sensitive about women's issues."

Samuel came and reminded the Chief.

Of course, the village chief was surprised by Samuel's words. He felt that the location of his conversation with the princess was quite far, but this man could know what he and Sarah were talking about.

"How did you know?" Asked the village chief.

"Because we are special beings."

While the party was still lively, a dark cloud formed over the god. It appeared from the direction of the forest.

Curtis, who saw it, immediately watched the movement of the clouds.

"There's something strange about that cloud," said Curtis.

Jason noticed it too. And their suspicions were confirmed. From the direction of the cloud, a giant figure suddenly appeared, with a chaotic appearance. Black body, one eye with thorns all over its body. The monster also had a tail. A foul odor soon wafted up and stopped the party.

The monster moved. It was about to hit everyone who was partying. But Curtis got in the way by turning into a big wolf. He bit the monster and threw it towards the forest.

The villagers were shocked by Curtis' transformation. They also realized that Curtis was a legendary creature that only existed in the kingdom of Arta.

Even more surprised was Sarah. She came to understand why Curtis was not interested in her. Because he knows that Curtis will only be loyal to one person.

...

The battle in the forest is heating up. Curtis jumped over the giant monster quickly while swinging his claws to split the monster. But after the monster was cut, its body returned intact. This caused Curtis some annoyance.

"Damn it, why isn't that monster dead!" said Curtis who was still in the form of a big wolf.

This time, Curtis shot flames from his mouth. He intended to burn the giant monster to a crisp. Then he sliced its body open with his claws. All of this caused a scream that deafened everyone's ears. The villagers also screamed because of the monster's loud voice.

"Evacuate the villagers!" Samuel shouted.

Jason acted immediately.

"I'll do it, you stay here to help the Chief!" Jason replied.

"Alright!"

Samuel readied his sword. He jumped in and tried to slash at the monster's legs. However, the monster's skin, which was covered in Curtis' flames, was very tough. The blade was even worse.

"Damn!" Samuel said.

Now they realize that they are facing a monster with terrible power. Moreover, the monster cannot die even if it is burned and split. This makes Jason, Samuel and Curtis think hard about how to destroy the giant monster.
