Zane’s POV
“Relax” Zara giggled as she grabbed my arse and pulled me closer “I know that you love me and the twins. I think she learnt her lesson judging from the sobbing mess we left behind”
“Then let’s go and grab you a coffee before heading to meet the next agent” I smiled
“Coffee sounds good” She nodded as I whisked her away to a café close to the next house.
I ordered Zara a coffee and the kids a fluffy each. A few other parents were with kids and none of the kids wanted to sit still, but ours were good at gold.
“I feel like you guys are making parenthood too easy” I told them
“We are not like other children” Lachlan told us “They are learning to navigate their feelings, we have ours under control. Why have a melt down or struggle to sit still when we are fine?” he grinned.
“I am curious if the next babies we have will be the same?” Zara muttered more to herself then the rest of us.
“All your children will be gifted” Lachlan told her
“So, I won’t ever have to deal with crying or meltdowns?” she asked him
He just shrugged at her as a waitress walked over with their drinks.
“Just be glad that they are making life easy” I told her “As I think we have enough on our plate without kids that are hard”
“Ivy will be so pissed if her baby is hard” I chuckled
“Oh god” I groaned “She is emotional enough when pregnant, I am not sure how bad she will be when she has no sleep and a baby screaming all night”
“She is also my best friend” she growled “So if she is struggling, I will be offering to take the baby for a night so she can get some sleep”
“How did I know you were going to say that” I laughed as I knew that if Zara thought that Ivy was not coping, she would step in to help. As that is what Zara does, she does not like seeing those she loves suffering.
“Aunty Ivy’s baby will be good” Isla told us
“It just won’t be gifted like us” Lachlan added
“See” I chuckled “Nothing to worry about”
“When we get back to the island will you tell your dad and I what gifts you have?” Zara asked them.
“Yes” Lachlan nodded “But only you for now, we want to surprise the others”
“You should finish your coffee and then we can go and meet the other agent, and thankfully this one is a guy so should be more professional”
“I honestly didn’t like the area of the last house anyway”
“Well, the next house is within walking distance, so if you like the area we are in then you should like the house area” I told her
“So, it’s a rural house?” I asked him
“It is” I nodded as I realised, I only showed her the pictures of the house and not the land “It has a lot of land with it and its set far back from the road”
“So, we could get some animals for the kids?” She asked “I always wanted to have horses when I was a kid, not that I even got to play outside. But dreams are free and that’s what I always dreamed off. A large home with lots of land and animals for my kids to play with”
“And I will make sure that dream comes true for you” I told her as I realised that this next house really was perfect for us.
Zara finished her coffee and we grabbed the twins and I started to walk us towards the next house. I could have just transported us, but I wanted Zara to take in the area as I wanted her to feel at home here. I watched her as we walked and the way she smiled and greeted people we walked past.
“What will we do about school?” Zara suddenly asked “As we cannot really send the twins to school if they are going to keep growing this quickly”
“We don’t need school” Lachlan smirked “Dad can teach us about running the company and we will pick up reading, writing and maths with ease”
“Smarty pants” Zara grumbled
“We are” Isla nodded
“I think we already knew that” I sighed “Just today their speech has developed and once they are grown, they are right and they will be working with me and Albert”
“And Uncle Ger” Isla told me
“Can you still not say Gerald?” I asked
“I can, but I like Ger better” she grinned
We reached the private road that led to the house, and I opened the gate for Zara to walk through.
“I love it already” she told me “Let’s just hope that the agent does not put me off”
I just shook my head at her as I had already told us that this one was a male, if anything he will most likely hit on her and piss me off.
Once the house came into view, I knew Zara was sold and that this would be our new home. She looked around at the paddock, and her grin grew bigger the more she saw.
“Like what you see?” I chuckled as I pulled her into my arms while the twins ran off ahead.
“Yes” she squealed “I have not even seen the house and I want it”
“You know that I will always give you what you want” I told her just as we reached the house and the agent was stood at the front door waiting for us.
“Mr Mitchell” he greeted as he walked over and shook my hand.
“And this is my wife Zara and our kids Isla and Lachlan” I told him as he went and shook Zara’s hand.
“It’s nice to meet you” the agent smiled “The house is vacant now, so feel free to look around at your leisure. Unless you would prefer for me to walk around with you?”
“We will be fine on our own” I told him “We will come and find you when we are done”
“I will wait for you in the kitchen” he confirmed as I pulled Zara towards the stairs
“Can we pick our own rooms?” Lachlan asked
“Sure” I chuckled
“Just don’t go too far away” Zara called after them as they started to jump up the stairs.
