Chapter 18 Epilogue
Two months later, Garrett

“Laura!” I yelled into the house, she has to be here somewhere, I told her I was on my way and she said she was here. “Laura!” I yell again and get nothing. I start stomping through my house and see her purse and her shoes and keys. Where is she? I make my way to the bedroom and hear the radio and then the water running. I smile, as I strip and strut into the bathroom and join her in the shower. “Found you,” I grab her and kiss the back of her neck.

She squeaks and then melts into me. “That you did.” She turns to face me and then kisses me with so much passion. “Did you find them?” She asks with hope in her eyes.

I nod and smile back at her.

She sighs and then kisses me again. “Good. I don’t want to have to think of them ever again.” She kisses my chest then drops to her knees and kisses my hips and her hands reach around to grab my ass, I have to put my hands on the wall to stay standing. “Oh, have I missed you.” She says just before her mouth takes me and she works me to a quick climax.

Once she is done, I scoop her up and then pin her to the wall and work my way down her body, “My turn.” And with that I find my happy place and hers. We stayed in the shower until the water ran cold and I helped dry her off, then myself. “So, are you excited for tonight?”

“I am, are you?” She counters.

I nod and scoop her into my arms and carry her to the closet and help her get dressed before I dress myself. My brother and his wife are on their way over, he said he had some news for me. I think he is going to tell me that he and Sunny are expecting. I can’t wait to tell him our news. I hope they are not upset that we eloped and that we too are expecting.

I hear the doorbell and look at Laura and smile, “They are here, you ready for this?” Ask and give her a quick kiss.

“Yes, I am, however,” she looks at the clock, and then back at me, “They are still about an hour early.”

I look at the clock as well, and sure enough she is correct. That is not like my brother to be this early, I pick up my phone and see a text from him telling me that they are going to be late about twenty minutes. The doorbell rings again, I look at Laura, “Wait here, if you hear the signal, then you go to the safe room.” I say and stride out of the room.

“Be careful.” I hear her say as I make my way to the door.

Once I reach the door and look at the security camera, I see it is black and that never bodes well. I push the speaker on the door and say, “What do you want?” I aim my gun at the door as I pull my bulletproof screen in front of me. Not too soon as my door is hit with armor piercing bullets. “Now!” I yell and I hear the safe room locks engage.

I reach over and press my silent alarm and then return fire. I take a hit to the arm. Only it was not a bullet that hit me but a tranquilizer. My only thought is that Laura is watching this, and she stays in there until help shows up. Then my world goes black.
