Chapter 103 Chapter 103
Chapter 103 Chapter 103
Celine's POV.
"Kaleb, what are you doing?" I hurried into my son's room and found him live-streaming his room on my restaurant page.
"Didn't I warn you about not going online?" I demanded with a deep frown and ended the call.
Fortunately, the video had more than 1 million views, and I was freaked out as I couldn't delete it ASAP.
"Mom, my classmates said that they make money from their social media pages. Why don't you want me to have a page online? Are you scared that my Daddy will see me?" Kaleb asked, and I scowled.
"Who said anything about your Daddy? It's not that. I want you to grow up a bit, and then you can have a page, alright?" I quickly denied it, as I didn't want to scold my son.
"Okay, I believe you. I'm sorry," Kaleb apologized to me as he came forward to meet me.
"It's fine. If you don't want me to get annoyed with you, then do not disobey me again. Alright?" I gently warned my son as I caressed his hair.
"Alright, Mom. But did you get any money on the video? Ella said that when she goes on live stream with her Mom, many fans send her money online," Kaleb insisted.
"True, but I don't know how it works. But I want you to concentrate on your books, okay. Your Mom has enough money to take you to any place and buy you any toys, and I already promised you a phone. So don't get worried about having money," I assured Kaleb as I looked at his handsome face.
"Alright, Mom."
Kaleb and I left the room, and we went to the dining to have our dinner.
After our dinner, my son and I returned to our separate rooms, and I waved goodbye at him before entering my room to rest for the night.
My mind was filled with emotions. After a while, I found a way to delete the live stream video that Kaleb did, and I kept my phone back.
I didn't want my son's information on the internet yet.
I felt a sense of relief, then I went to lay on my bed and drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Kaleb and I dressed up elegantly in our twin wears.
I wore a lovely green dress that perfectly accentuated my figure, and a pair of black shoes, while Kaleb was dressed impeccably in a green top and black trousers.
We got into my car, while I drove off to my Restaurant.
As we arrived at my Restaurant, I was uneasy, thinking that I would come across Edwin Hugo like the previous day. But luckily for me, Edwin didn't show up.
The day went by smoothly until the evening.
As I packed up my handbag in my office to leave for home with my son, my assistant Becky came rushing into my office after a quick knocking.
"Madam, Mr. Edwin is here to see you," Becky said, standing by my office door.
She knew that I didn't create my office for clients.
My office was solely for my son's use, for Kaleb to stay away from customers' knowledge and to have his privacy, not to wander around whenever I was busy.
"Hmm," my brows furrowed, wondering why Edwin had arrived.
The day had been peaceful without getting to see him, and now he was here.
"Let him in," I spoke at last. Though my voice wasn't as entertaining as it sounded.
Becky hesitated to leave my office, and she asked me once more, "Are you sure, Madam?"
"Yes. Let him in," I offered her a warm smile, and she sighed and left my office.
A few minutes later, the door unlocked, and Edwin came in.
"Good evening, Ms. Mason. I'm sorry that I dropped by late today, as I was busy going through some arrangements at my hotel. Before I could make it here with Justin," Edwin said as he walked into my office with his son, Justin.
Just like Kaleb and I, Edwin and his son wore similar white tops and black jeans trousers and shoes.
"It's fine," I forced a tight smile his way and shifted my gaze to Justin.
"How are you doing, Justin?"
"I'm fine, Aunt," he said with a grin, and I saw Kaleb roll his eyes at him.
Kaleb doesn't like it when other children admire me. He feels very protective of me, and he moved away from his chair and came to meet me.
Edwin looked at my son and asked, "What's his name?"
"Kaleb," I replied, wondering if Edwin could see through my son's face that he resembles me.
Though I dyed my hair red, my son's hair was blonde, and he looked like a girl - a small version of myself, but he was a boy.
"Kaleb, won't you say hello to Uncle? You have been asking me about calling him to partner with him?" I spoke to Kaleb as he came to meet me, resting his small frame on my legs.
Kaleb stood beside my thighs and peered at Edwin's face. "Hello, Uncle," he said with a smile, and Edwin smiled.
"It's nice to meet you. You look handsome," Edwin said, and Kaleb replied, "Thank you."
I smiled and broke the conversation.
"Back to business. I said I would give you a call to know if I will accept to partner with your hotel or not," I said, my focus on Edwin.
Edwin took his seat with his son, across my desk and replied, "I know. I have been busy, and Justin kept on bothering me to come and see you. And if you have any available meals."
"Alright. I thought you came for the business deal," I said, my gaze shifting between Edwin and his son.
"No. It's just to get our dinners. But I just thought to say hello to you and your boy," Edwin offered me a warm smile, and I nodded.
"Thank you," I replied, as I was still seated on my chair.
"You don't have to thank me. I should be the one thanking you for making my stay here in Banana Island memorable. I would like for us to be friends and more than business partners," Edwin added, and I looked tense.
"Alright. When I give your proposal a proper thought tonight, I will give you a call tomorrow to make an arrangement for it," I said, and Edwin squeaked, "Thank you."
He offered me a handshake as he extended his right hand on my desk.
"It's a pleasure partnering with you, Ms. Mason. I promise you won't regret it," he said, and I tensely accepted his hand.
The way his eyes kept watching me, as if he was trying to see through me if I was really Celine, but I gave no room for familiarity nor ask about Jace.
"Alright. I will call you," I spoke at last as I shook his hand, and he held my hand firmly and grinned.
"I will be taking my leave now. Take care," Edwin rose from my guest chair to leave my office.
"Alright," I replied with a smile and watched him and his son leave.
