Chapter 18 Something wrong

Chapter 18 Something wrong

Asher

Something was wrong.

Although, I couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong, but I knew it deep down that something wasn't right. A soft moan jolted me out of my thoughts. That was when I realized I was actually kissing someone.

I pulled away from the girl, Meghan, and sighed in disappointment. She flashed me a sultry look that would have probably led to my bedroom few months ago, but the only thing I felt now was irritation.

I swear, the girl used to do something to me. She was hot, the hottest girl in school, and she had crazy bedroom skills. But I couldn't muster a single desire for her and I completely zoned out while kissing her. That had never happened to me before. But also, I hadn't taken anyone to my bed since I got back from physical therapy.

Maybe this was some side effect of prolonged physical therapy. Losing interests in things that used to excite you. I wasn't a genius in biology, but I knew it wasn't true. Because there was one girl who could elicit a strong sense of desire inside me without even doing anything.

It was as if the single thought of Harley triggered every cell in my body, my cock finally sprang up. Meghan, who was still sitting on my laps, seem to notice that Mr Dicky finally decided to work. She giggled excitedly and began rubbing her ass on my dick.

And just like that, Mr Dicky went back to sleep.

I sighed in frustration. I wanted to push her off me, but I decided to try a nicer approach. After all, I was the one who pulled her away from the guy she was dancing with. I had been on edge after my run in with Harley in the kitchen.

There was something about seeing her face bare of make-up. She looked so beautiful that I couldn't resist not telling her that.

“Get up.” I said.

“Do you wanna take this somewhere else? I would go wherever you want me to go, baby.” She bit her lower lip in what I assumed was a seductive way, but it really just pissed me off more. And she called me baby.

Granted, we used to go out few months ago, but our relationship was purely sexual and maybe a few appearance in school. I didn't have any hard feelings when she ghosted me after I got injured. We weren't serious anyway. But that didn't give her the right to call me that.

She leaned closer and whispered, “I'll even let you eat my pussy this time.”

Alright, that was it. Fuck being nice. I do not eat pussy ever. Everyone knew that.

I shoved her off me harshly and she fell on the couch. But she still didn't seem to get it.

“Oh, are we doing it rough in front of everyone? I'm all for that.” She reached for my hand again, but I moved out of her reach before she could grab it.

“No, I'm not doing anything with you.” I said and tried to keep the bite from my tone.

I thought I did be a great job and didn't sound disgusted. She rolled her eyes and scoffed. “Whatever.”

Then she flipped her hair and walked away. I leaned back into the couch and sighed. I was the one that organized the party, yet I was feeling so bored. I had ditched the football team when I went looking for a quick release and I didn't even get it, I couldn't stop thinking about a particular red haired woman.

Maybe I should ditch the party altogether and go to her room. I just hoped she was still awake. What was I going to say when I got to her room anyway?

I stood up from the couch and headed for the stairs, but I didn't have to walk for long. I caught sight of Harley standing at the makeshift bar and my heart stopped.

My eyes trailed the black dress that hugged her tightly, accentuating her features, the layers of bare skin that seem to glow in the dimly lit area. She looked … breathtaking.

And it was at that moment that Mr Dicky seem to come back to life.

I was walking towards her before I even realized it. I had almost gotten to her when she laughed again and placed her hand on someone's shoulder. I had been so focused on getting to her that I didn't notice the boy standing so close to her. The boy she was laughing with and touching.

“I didn't know you would come downstairs, Red. What a surprise.” I interrupted whatever the guy was saying.

Harley turned to me with a tight smile on my face. “I'm sure you weren't expecting me. You
must have felt so free to do anything.”

“Who are you?” The boy asked.

“Who are you?” I retorted and took a step towards him.

“Asher,” Harley called pointedly. Her voice was firm enough that I understood. She turned to the boy whose eyes darted between us.

“Ryan, this is Asher. He's the host of this party and a family friend.” She said loosely.

Family friend?

We had unofficially agreed few days ago that we were like family, but she didn't introduce me as such. I raised a brow but she ignored me.

“And Asher, this is Ryan. He's a friend.”

Her flushed expression revealed what she didn't say. He was the one she had been talking to since school resumed.

To be fair, I knew she was talking to a boy, but I didn't actually expect him to be real. I had made him out to be fictional in my head. But now that I've seen him, I decided that I didn't like him. He seems too suspicious.

“Nice to meet you, Asher. Great party by the way.” Ryan smiled.

My eyes narrowed on him. It wasn't nice to meet him at all. In fact, I'd prefer I didn't meet him at all. “I know.” I said simply.

Ryan finally stopped smiling. “Do you have a problem with me, man?”

“Yes.” I said without hesitation.

“He has a problem with everyone. Just ignore him.” Harley waved her hand dismissively. “Can you give me a second? I just need to speak to him real quick. I'll be right back.”

She grabbed my hand and began dragging me away from her friend. I followed her after giving the guy a death glare. Harley dragged me to a quiet place in the house.

She folded her arms “What the hell is wrong with you?”

“Nothing. What the hell is wrong with you? You barely know that guy and you're already all flirty and touchy. He could be dangerous.”

“Really? A dangerous person would attend a high school party with hormonal teenagers?” She raised an eyebrow.

“Maybe.” I shrugged.

“Are you listening to yourself? You're talking rubbish right now.” She snapped. I didn't respond.

“Who I talk to or flirt with is none of your business. You don't see me telling you who you should or should not kiss.” She scoffed.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Just stay out of my way. No one needs to know we live together or that we know each other. Go back to kissing your ex girlfriend.” She said and walked away.

The realization dawned on me as she walked back to limp dick Ryan. She definitely saw me kissing Meghan, and for some reasons, it pissed her off.

I clenched my hands at my side and watched as she leaned closer to him. She laughed at something he said and stretched her hand out to him. They walked to the middle of the living room where everyone was dancing.

I forced myself to stay still, to not go after them and haul her away from him. One, that would technically be kidnapping. And two, she had specifically told me to stay away.

So I stood by the corner and watched the girl I was crazy about dance with another man while silently contemplating his murder.

This was going to be a long night.
