Chapter 17: Findings

The girls went down the sea and washed their clothes and faces. They were at the same place when they first got washed up.

"This is refreshing." Jeongyeon sighed with relief.

"Did anyone notice Jihyo?" Tzuyu spoke.

"What do you mean?" Dahyun asked.

The other girls were eager to know.

Tzuyu gathered the girls together, leaving Jisoo washing her clothes.

"Ever Since Jisoo appeared, she seemed quiet."

The girls agreed.

"Apparently Jisoo said she looked familiar." Momo said.

"I think we're thinking about this too deeply, maybe she seemed quiet but you'll at least meet a person who looks like someone in your life time." Nayeon explained.

Only one girl seemed to know what's going on.

They shrugged and carried on washing.

Jihyo was still looking at the map, there were crosses on it assuming there was nothing there. She wanted to pick it up but the others came back early. Sana, Tzuyu and Jisoo came first.

"Jihyo you should of came, it was so refreshing." Sana sat down, resting her injured leg. Tzuyu came and sat down beside her.

Night began to fall, it was dark, the only light they had was the moonlight.

They used their clothes as blankets and pillows.

There was one person who stayed up, Jihyo was looking out towards the volcano.

"Hey Ji." Nayeon came up beside her.

"I thought you were asleep." She turned towards her.

"It's quite uncomfortable, plus I want to know how you are doing."

"I'm fine." Jihyo said.

"The girls are worried about you, but I assume you're always like this."

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"They've noticed that your quiet when Jisoo appeared and why does she think you look familiar." Nayeon explained.

Jihyo kept quiet.

"What ever happens you can always tell us, we promised we would never lie to each other and always tell each other the truth."

Jihyo felt even more guilty, she knew she was already betraying their trust.

"I'm going back to sleep, see you in the morning." Nayeon yawned and laid back down, Jihyo stayed awake still.

"You stole it away from me, this is my chance to this away from you."

It was the next morning, Mina woke and gently sat upright. Chaeyoung was still hugging her arm and Mina smiled, she looked around at the others and noticed that one girl wasn't here.

"Jihyo?" She got up and quietly called her name.

There was no sign of her anywhere, so she decided to looked for her on ground.

She was still calling her name, she checked the beach but no sign of she, the crash site, the coconut tree and the passion fruit tree, still no sign of her.

Then she heard a faint rustle behind her, she turned around quickly checking if anyone was there. Footprints were on the floor and she followed it, it may lead to Jihyo.

There she was kneeling down next to a stone wall.

"Jihyo, why are you here?" She asked, she came up behind her.

Jihyo stayed still and silent.

Mina called her name again.

No answer.

Mina finally realised what she was doing, there was writing on the stone wall.

"As the volcano sleeps, something lurks beneath." Mina repeated the words on the wall.
