Chapter 46 LITTLE URCHIN

Chapter 46 LITTLE URCHIN
\[GEORGIA'S ROOM\]

Georgia sat on her bed, looking rattled and disturbed. Her legs were crossed as she occasionally sipped from her glass.

She was scrolling through her phone, researching about Drexton.

Since what Ixora said at the police station, her mind hasn't been at ease. She would stand up and pace around the room. She would sit down, cross her legs and sip from her glass.

She couldn't get the thoughts that had been disturbing her. The thoughts of Drexton being Eric and Roselyn's son. She never heard from him again, but Smith had told her that the private investigator he sent to look for him had confirmed him dead.

Yet again, she can't be so sure. But if it was him, why would he go after her daughter? He should have gone after her. She was the one who wronged him. Who took his parents away, not Ixora. She has nothing to do with this.

She smiled, remembering all those memories. The ones she can't forget.

"Drexton was good back then," she muttered, sipping her drink as she slipped into a flashback.

Georgia came out of the bathroom, her towel wrapped around her chest. She sat in the chair. A soft knock was placed on the door.

"Come in," she said.

The door pushed open, and Drexton walked in. The little smile he once had was all gone. It was just a point-blank expression.

He had his head lowered to the ground.

"Close the door, orphan boy," Georgia scolded in her usual commanding tone.

Drexton pushed the door closed.

Georgia motioned him to come, which he did.

"Here's my cream. Apply it thoroughly on my body," she loosened her towel to expose her back.

Drexton pressed the cream, and as he began applying it, tears began sliding down his cheeks.

"Harder," Georgia's voice came out low and commanding.

Drexton's tears fell harder as he pressed his palms on her body.

Pleasure showed in her voice.

Drexton finished applying the cream on her back. She turned and loosened her towel completely.

"Take off your clothes, little urchin and get back to creaming," she said.

Drexton shook his head, more tears falling from his eyes.

"N...No," he muttered.

He tried running away from the room. Georgia was faster. She grabbed his wrist roughly.

Unfortunately, she fell on the floor while Drexton fell across her.

Before Drexton could rush to stand up, the door pushed open and Smith walked in to behold the sight.

Georgia quickly flipped the situation around.

She sprang up, forming fake tears.

"Darling, h...he just tried to rape him," she said, pointing her index finger at Drexton while covering herself with her towel.

Smith's eyes turned dark, and he lunched towards Drexton. He hit Drexton, and Drexton fell, hitting his forehead on the edge of the table.

"You worthless, ungrateful, orphan child," Smith shouted.

\--

The emptying of the drink pulled Georgia back to the present as her previous smiles were replaced with the same worried expression.

"They share the same name and first name," she muttered, her eyes glued to her phone.

She immediately dialed Smith's line.

He answered in the second ring.

"Everything is solved," he said from the other end.

"Good, at least one problem is solved," she replied. "I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"When Drexton left, you hired a private investigator to look for him. Why wasn't he found?" Georgia asked.

She could feel Smith going silent. A second. Two. Three, he couldn't say a thing, and that made Georgia extremely worried.

"Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" he asked, carefully measuring his question.

"Just answer the question," Georgia snapped.

"The private investigator couldn't find him. He then assumed that he was dead. Besides, he would have died by now. He was left with nothing, and then he was still so young, and we made sure he wasn't going to school. There is no way he'd survive this harsh world," Smith replied.

Georgia went silent, thinking about it.

Smith was right. They made sure they were treated like rags, and Drexton wasn't even attending any school. His dumbness would have led him to his death.

She thought, breathing out a sigh of relief.

"Why did you ask?" Smith asked.

Georgia shook her head as if Smith could see her.

"It's nothing. Just wanted to know since I never knew about it."

"They are here. I've got to go," Smith said, and disconnected the call.

"Guess I was just worried for no reason."

But Ixora wouldn't make things up, and why would a billionaire target her daughter?

Somehow she wasn't convinced. She knew she needed to see Drexton herself, and his reaction would tell her who he was. Until then, her heart wouldn't be at ease.

\[MMISS MODELING AGENCY\]

Bonnie's face has been far from smiling since she saw the news about Ixora's release.

She just concluded her shoot, which didn't turn out well because of her face.

She had finished planning the whole thing. Ixora will go to jail. From there, she will be transferred to Morocco. Drexton wouldn't see her again, and then she would make her way into his life. Blake had to go and ruin everything.

"That face of yours kept ruining the shoot," Stacy said.

"You don't expect me to carry a smile on my face," Bonnie replied.

"Was that why you refused to pick up Skye's call? You don't have it to make it so obvious that you are using him, else he'll leave you."

Bonnie rolled her eyes, feeling frustrated.

"His sight makes me want to murder myself," she squeezed her face, completely disgusted.

Stacy chuckled. "I know you love Drexton," she shrugged.

"But I wouldn't deny it, he's handsome."

Bonnie rolled her eyes.

They both looked at the entrance and saw Skye walking in.

"Seems like your prince charming is here, leaving," Stacy said.

Bonnie tried stopping her. She left even before Bonnie could say a thing. Bonnie exhaled, cussing inwardly.

Skye got to her and gave her a warm smile.

"You weren't answering my calls," he said.

Bonnie faced the other side. "If I'm not answering your calls, it means I don't want to talk to you," she mumbled inaudibly.

"Huh?" Skye asked.

"Nothing," she smiled. "I didn't mean to ignore your calls. I was too busy."

"But you saw my calls."

"My phone was on silent and do not disturb mode. I'm sorry," she stood and wrapped her arm around his waist.

"It's nothing. I was just worried," Skye said, hugging her back.

"I couldn't come to visit Blake. How is he doing now?" she asked.

"He's fine now."

"Ixora deserves to go to jail for putting him in that condition. Audrey should make sure she gets punished."

"She has been released," Skye said.

"What?" Bonnie asked, breaking the hug.

Skye nodded. "Blake came and said that she wasn't the one who stabbed him. He went as far as tearing the FIR, so there is no case against her," Skye explained.

"But... But she was the one who stabbed him. We were at the cinema that day," Bonnie explained, rage brewing in her.

She could feel her fist balling up. She was so close to getting Ixora locked up in prison, and Blake had to ruin the whole plan. All she needed was for Ixora to step foot on the court, and she'd take it over from there, but now...everything's ruined.

"It doesn't matter. Blake chose not to file a case against her," Skye said. "But why are you getting so worked up?"

Bonnie faced him with that same fake smile. "I was just looking out for Blake. You know that she deserved to be punished."

Skye hummed. "Blake loves her. She made mentions like wanting to stab Drexton in place of Blake."

"D...Drexton?" Bonnie asked.

"Yeah. She said he's tormenting her, and..." A text came to his phone, interrupting him.

Bonnie looks interested in the conversation.

"What else did she say?"

"Blake took her away with him," Skye said, honestly. "Uhm, I have to go and meet my manager."

"Take care," Bonnie smiled.

She stood on her toes and pressed her lips to his neck.

Skye stood, frozen. His heart thudded loudly against his chest.

She broke the kiss, rubbed her thumb on the area.

"See you soon," she said.

Skye smiled and pecked her forehead before leaving.

The smile on her face fell.

She placed a call. The person was picked on the second rang.

"I have a job for you," Bonnie muttered, tightening her grip on the edge of the table.
