Chapter 132 TRACKING DREXTON'S PHONE

Chapter 132 TRACKING DREXTON'S PHONE
\[DR. FELIX'S OFFICE\]

Dr. Felix was going through a patient's file when the door creaked open, and the last person he expected walked in. Winter.

He closed the file and stood. "Nikita, I didn't expect to see you today," he said, stretching out his hand.

Nikita stared deeply into his eyes before taking his hand into hers.

"Some visits aren't meant to be told," she said in a cold voice.

Dr. Felix tried releasing his hand, but she increased her hold.

"Nikita," he called.

"Sorry," she smiled and left his hand.

Dr. Felix hung his coat on the wall and sat down.

"So, what brings you here?" he asked.

"We are partners, can't I come and visit you again... or is it now forbidden?" She leaned in and placed her hand on the table, piercing her eyes on Dr. Felix's face.

Dr. Felix cleared his throat nervously. "I didn't mean it that way. It's just that you've never visited. I thought something must have gone wrong."

"What could go wrong, Felix?" She stood from her chair and strolled to the picture that hung on the wall.

Dr. Felix couldn't help but notice the strangeness in her voice. She even called his name without the Dr. Something was not right.

"Nice family," she commented without looking at him.

Dr. Felix stood from his chair. "Is there any problem, Nikita?"

"No, everything is fine. I'm just taking a look around my friend's office. Isn't it a good thing that I cherish my friend so much?" She left the picture and sat on his chair.

Dr. Felix stared at her confusedly. He didn't want to believe what his mind was telling him. Could she have found out?

"I think you should get going. I have a patient to attend to."

"I bet you do," she cut him off with a cruel smirk while toying with the key. "You always do."

He narrowed his brow, wondering what she meant by that.

She stood and took her purse. "I will get going." She left, not without giving him a meaningful smirk.

Dr. Felix watched her leave, slowly landing his butt on his chair.

"What was that?" he muttered, dapping his handkerchief on his forehead.

Who would have thought she'd make him sweat despite the air conditioning being on? He'd never seen her that way. He knows she's cruel, but he literally felt his heart seeking an escape.

She's so scary.

He went to his chair and sat down. Picking up a file, his eyes caught the slightly opened drawer.

Quickly, he opened the drawer, and his eyes widened.

He scrambled the files but found nothing.

"Oh no." He panicked and dialed Eric's number.

\[ERIC'S ENTERPRISE\]

Eric lowered the phone with his face turning pale.

Ixora noticed the look on his face.

"What did he say?" she asked.

"Nikita has got her hands on the watch," he announced slowly.

Ixora's eyes went wide. "T-The watch?"

Eric nodded.

"Oh no. This is bad. It means she's suspicious. We can't let her find out that it's a regular, not hypnotic watch. She'll..."

Eric placed his hand on her shoulder, and they looked at each other.

"Calm down," he said as if he was spelling it out.

Ixora stopped talking as if his words had made her calm.

In the next second, they burst into laughter.

"My gosh," Ixora said between laughter.

She held her stomach as a result of the heavy laughter. Tears fell from her eyes.

"She's such a fool."

"Tell me more," Eric said, and their laughter slowly died down.

"I never expected her to be this predictable. She actually took the watch."

"She will be too busy trying to interpret the watch..." Eric said.

"And Hazel will be taken care of," Ixora said, and they gave each other a high five.

"But, how do you plan on getting Hazel? I don't think she will come out randomly."

"She won't, but she will when he tells her to."

"He? Who?" Eric asked.

"Drexton," she said with a smirk dancing on her lips.

"How will you ask him?" Eric asked, not following.

Ixora slid her hands into her pants and took out Drexton's phone.

"With this," she twirled the phone in her palm. "I only have to sound like him, and she will come running. We'll threaten her."

Eric smiled. "I've never been this proud. You're so smart."

"I took after you, Dad," Ixora blew him a kiss and unlocked the phone.

"How did you know his password?"

"A guess."

How could she not guess it right when his password was Firefly.

She went to his inbox, and her eyes caught their text messages.

It's still on his phone.

She scrolled past them and stopped at Hazel's number.

Hazel: To Maria's house if you want to keep the secret.

She clicked send and smiled at herself.

No one could ever sound like him properly, no matter how hard they try.

Eric's eyes were on her.

"Are you ready, Dad?" she asked, smirking.

"Always ready," he replied, and they gave each other a thumbs-up.

They crossed to the sides of the house.

Ixora to the right, and Eric to the left as they went into their rooms respectively.

\--

The door pushed open, and they came out at the same time, standing beside each other. They were smiling as a text came to Drexton's phone.

"She's on her way," Ixora read, and pocketed the phone as they mirrored each other's dressing.

Black leather pants on a black leather jacket with a sleek black boot, and gloves. Each of them wore black sunglasses on their head.

"Let's go, Dad." They nodded their heads once, and the glasses fell on their bridge perfectly well.

Ixora flipped her long dark hair backward, and they began walking out of the room, slow, steady and precise.

\[HELL DEVIL'S HIDEOUT\]

"And you are sure Ixora is the one with the phone?" Nelly asked.

She was about to go and face Hazel if not for Maddox, who held her back. She couldn't believe someone could even dare to impersonate her best friend. The anger hasn't subsided, but they are focused on finding Drexton's phone, if truly Ixora is the one with it.

Maddox just concluded telling her about everything.

Maddox shrugged, not having anything meaningful to tell her.

Drexton stood, hands folded behind him, as he stared at the paintings on the wall. He remembered the day Ixora found out about the reason why she hated her. She finally understood the meaning behind them. It wasn't there to scare people, but to tell his story to those who could understand it.

Jaxon was scrolling through his phone.

Alexa punched the keys as if they were fighting.

Jaxon would glance at her and shake his head. Who punches keys like that?

She's trying to track Drexton's phone.

Nelly stood and went behind her.

"Found anything?"

Alexa shook her head and blew out air from her mouth.

Sweat traced down her cheeks to her neck.

Jaxon kept his phone and took out a handkerchief from his pocket.

"You don't have to type so hard," he said, wiping the sweat off her forehead.

"You can help me by wiping the sweat," she replied, not taking her gaze off the screen.

Jaxon gave a one-sided smile as he fixed his eyes on the screen.

Nelly gave them a meaningful glance before laying her eyes on Drexton.

"I've found it!" Alexa announced, stood and carried the laptop in her hand.

Maddox and Drexton walked to her.

"For real!" Nelly asked.

Alexa nodded and kept the laptop.

Their eyes all went to the screen.

"You can see the red dot is moving fast. Whoever has the phone is on the road and moving fast."

True to Alexa's words, the red dot on the screen was moving speedily.

Suddenly it stopped.

"It has stopped," Nelly muttered as they waited for it to move again, but it didn't.

Alexa moved the cursor and typed a few things on the keyboard. The screen zoomed in.

"There. That's where the phone is," she said.

Drexton's eyes didn't move away from the screen as they locked on the location.

"Hazel's house."

They all looked at him.
