Chapter 93 Lipstick

Holland glanced over and saw Rohan's call.

Covington answered the phone and asked coldly, "What's up?"

"Come out and party!!"

It was lively on Rohan's end, and you could hear the voices and music even over the phone.

"I’m busy." Covington decisively refused.

Holland looked at him. No matter what, Rohan was his dude.

"Don't! Let me tell you, Thomas and the others have returned to the A City. They are hosting a banquet specifically to see you. Since your accident, you haven't seen your previous friends." Rohan explained.

He also hoped Covington could expand his social circle and return to the past.

Rohan continued, "Are you planning to keep Holland hidden forever? We know you're married. Shouldn't you introduce your wife to everyone? Be careful not to offend us, your friends."

What he said made sense. Holland also understood Rohan's words beside Covington.

Covington turned to her and asked, "Do you want to go?"

Holland licked her lips, "Rohan said you haven't seen them in a long time. Why not go?"

She also wanted to know what his world was like. Was he that carefree and easygoing before she showed up? She wanted to know what kind of person the once unrivaled Covington really was. What kind of evaluation would he receive from his friends?

"Alright." Covington got her consent and said to Rohan on the phone, "Send me the address, and don't make the event too wild."

Rohan chuckled, "Got it, we won't be unreasonable. When meeting your wife for the first time, the event will definitely be clean and proper."

Covington hung up the phone.

Holland looked at him and hesitantly asked, "Do I need to change clothes?"

Would it be disrespectful to his good friends if she wore casual clothes to meet them?

"If you want to change, I'll wait for you."

Covington didn't interfere, letting her decide for herself.

Holland smiled and said, "Then I'll go upstairs to change clothes." She ran lightly up the stairs.

In the living room, there were only Covington and Aunt.

Aunt sighed, "I'm going to waste these dishes again."

"You can eat them." Covington smiled faintly.

Aunt said impatiently, "I'm in good health, I don't need to eat these things. I made these dishes specifically for you, afraid that you wouldn't get enough nutrition after recovering from your illness."

"Was the call you made in the kitchen also intentionally for me to hear?" Covington asked.

"Young master, haven't you two..." Aunt looked at him in surprise, "Really?"

She never expected this situation. They were young men and women, with feelings for each other and living together, yet they could still control themselves?

"I'm not an animal. She still has injuries."

"Mr. Beckett Sr. said she's fine, her fingers just need time to heal. You're just fooling me. But these dishes can wait until Mr. Beckett Sr. comes home to eat."

Aunt really didn't want to waste food. Covington didn't intervene either. But when Mr. Beckett Sr. came home and saw these dishes, his expression might not be pleasant.

He crossed his arms and leaned against the stairs.

After a while, Holland came down in a sweet French-style dress.

"Mr. Drake, let's go!"

She naturally walked to Covington's side and looked up at him. It was clear that Holland attached great importance to this. She didn't like makeup, but she still put on a light touch. Her features were more refined, and her lips were painted with a light grapefruit-colored lipstick, looking very tempting. To match the dress, she also carried a small bag with essential items.

Covington's gaze remained on her, making Holland a bit embarrassed.

"Mr. Drake, is there something wrong with me?" Holland asked nervously.

"Nothing, you look charming." Compared to the heavy makeup she wore on her wedding night, she looked much prettier.

He slightly extended his arm, indicating her. Holland couldn't help but smile and took his arm.

They left sweetly, and Tate opened the car door for them.

"Mr. Drake, where are we going?"

"Prospect Garden," Covington mentioned a name Holland had never heard of.

But Tate seemed familiar with it, driving without using navigation, heading straight to Prospect Garden.

Holland sat in the car, sitting upright. She was a bit nervous. She was afraid that those people would have a bad impression of her, which might affect Covington's relationship with them.

"What's wrong?" Covington seemed to sense her unease and asked.

"Nothing." Holland licked her dry lips. Her grapefruit-colored lipstick was sweet and fruity.

Seeing her action, Covington grabbed her wrist. "Don't worry, you have a good relationship with Rohan. You don't need to pay much attention to the others."

"Okay." Holland nodded heavily.

Covington reminded her, "Your lipstick is smudged."

"Should I touch it up?"

She had no experience and didn't even bring a mirror when she went out.

"Let me help you." Covington took out the lipstick from her bag, slowly unscrewed the cap, leaned in, and carefully outlined her red lips.

Holland dared not look him in the eye, feeling as if his eyes were sucking her soul. He was like a sexy elf. She lowered her head, and her gaze involuntarily fell on his fingers. Covington put the lipstick away and put it back in her bag.

"Done."

"Thank you, Mr. Drake." Holland quickly turned around, relieved.

The car raced all the way and finally pulled up at the entrance of Prospect Garden. Prospect Garden was a classical Western-style manor. Many people probably wouldn't think it was a club.

Endless green lawns and towering ancient trees. Holland held Covington's hand, her attention drawn to the surrounding scenery.

Prospect Garden at night was exceptionally beautiful. Everywhere was adorned with lights, and she even saw fireflies flying in the artificial rockery forest. It was quiet at the entrance, and only as they walked further in did they feel the bustle.

It was a large building.

Upon entering, there was a lobby with guests of all kinds. The private rooms were on the second and third floors, surrounded by places for leisure.

"Mr. Drake, you're here."

The waiter recognized Covington as soon as he saw him.

"Rohan has given instructions. As soon as you arrive, I'll take you straight to him," he said, his demeanor very respectful, and he did not dare to look up.

Covington responded nonchalantly, "Sorry to trouble you."
