Chapter 87 Covington, I Love You

Holland took the stairs and made it to the second floor.

At a glance, she noticed the particularly prominent nameplate and pushed the door open to enter. The lounge was elegantly decorated with sofas, a bathroom, and unopened cosmetics on the dressing table. The room was scented with aromatherapy, and there were men's and women's formal wear in the wardrobe. It wasn't a top luxury brand, but it was decent.

They were indeed well-prepared for this banquet.

Holland's stomach was very uncomfortable. She sat on the sofa for a while, feeling unwell, and eventually couldn't hold it in and went to the bathroom to vomit.

After vomiting, she felt much better.

Only then did she have the mind to clean the dirt off her formal wear. She was reluctant to change out of this outfit because it was bought for her by Covington. The embroidery on it matched the patterns on his cuffs. These discreet and sweet little things made her unable to help but reminisce in her heart. She would wonder if that man intentionally chose this outfit.

At the door, footsteps sounded.

Poppy stood outside the door, listening for any movement. She arrived late and didn't see if the waiter entered with Holland.

"Poppy!" A male voice sounded behind her.

Poppy was startled and turned around to see Maxwell, the notorious playboy of A City. She angrily said, "What's up?"

Maxwell looked her up and down and complimented, "You have a great figure, and you're beautiful."

Today's Poppy could indeed be described as stunning.

Maxwell couldn't help but be intrigued.

Poppy chuckled and said, "I am indeed beautiful."

She had spent three hours on makeup, trying to captivate Covington. Under the influence of drugs, she didn't believe that man could control himself.

Maxwell, looking at her, became more determined to win her over today.

"Come to my room. I have something to tell you," he said slowly.

Poppy disdainfully glanced at him and said, "I don't have time!"

She was preparing to expose the affair between Holland and the waiter in front of everyone.

"You'll regret not coming. I saw you with the waiter in the garden..."

"Shut up!" Poppy nervously interrupted him.

"I just want to make a deal with you. Let's talk in the room. Ten minutes is enough!" Maxwell said firmly.

After a moment of hesitation, Poppy finally agreed. She followed Maxwell to the room at the end of the corridor. The Morgen Family dealt in paint, barely qualifying as a third-rate family. In fact, such a background was compatible with Evan's Family.

But Maxwell's reputation was too bad. No wealthy girl in A City wanted to marry him. It was said that he might even have a sexually transmitted disease.

Maxwell opened the door and let Poppy in. He gently locked the door. Poppy didn't notice.

He gentlemanly poured her a glass of water. "Have some water."

"I dare not drink anything in your room," Poppy said, crossing her arms and looking at him. "What did you see in the garden?"

As she spoke, she felt a dryness in her mouth.

"Nothing, just you giving him two packets of powder," Maxwell glanced at the clock on the wall, calculating the time.

"You got it wrong!" Poppy quickly denied it.

"I didn't say anything. Why are you so nervous?" Maxwell sat next to her. "Or are you feeling guilty? Poppy, what's all this about?"

His hand rested on Poppy's back.

Feeling a chill on her back, she uneasily shrugged her shoulders. "Maxwell, what do you want, actually?"

She felt uncomfortable all over as if the blood in her limbs was churning.

"What I want, you know very well," Maxwell said.

His fingers lightly touched her chin. "Poppy, you're dressed so beautifully. Are you here at the party to find a man? Can't Ramsey satisfy you?"

"Maxwell, I don't have time for nonsense with you!"

Poppy pushed him away, feeling dizzy for a moment, and her body went limp. Maxwell instinctively held her waist.

Poppy, feeling dizzy, said, "What... what have you done?"

She felt a rush of heat and even wanted to be close to the man in front of her.

"Poppy, ask yourself what you've done! Do you not know the effects of the medicine you bought?"

The medicine she bought!

High-grade aphrodisiacs! They worked quickly, causing the person to succumb to their body's instincts quickly. Those with weak wills easily fell.

With blurred eyes, she felt extremely thirsty.

"Don't! Don't touch me!"

Maxwell's hand caressed her smooth skin, sliding down her back and suddenly pulling. He tore apart the lace on her back, revealing her beautiful back.

"Maxwell, leave me alone!"

She tried to struggle, but Maxwell forcefully pressed her down on the sofa.

"If you don't want me to touch you, do you want Covington to touch you? He probably doesn't have time to waste on you; he has a wife," he sniffed her neck. Such a strong musky scent. Are you here to seduce men, Poppy?"

"Poppy, you wanted to harm others but ended up harming yourself."

Maxwell felt lucky. This was Poppy's plan, and he just made a few adjustments. He expected she wouldn't dare spread it; otherwise, Covington would never let her off, and Poppy could only endure. Maxwell boldly touched her.

Finally, he saw her reach out and embrace him. He tore the stockings under her skirt.

"Covington, I love you," Poppy said in confusion, "Give it to me!"

"Soon! Don't be impatient!"

Maxwell, regardless of which man she had in mind, presented her with a dessert that had been delivered to his door, and he couldn't let it go.

"Covington, I am your wife!"

This had almost become her obsession. Even in her unconscious state, she remembered this. While whispering sweet, dirty things to her and coaxing her into various indecent acts, Maxwell enjoyed the taste of conquest. He even took multiple photos with his phone.

In the photos, Poppy appeared lascivious and indulgent.

After completing these preparations, he finally began to enjoy the night.

Sounds of pleasure emanated from the room, faintly audible through the door, causing passing servers to blush, thinking that the rich really knew how to have fun.

In the banquet hall.

Covington's face was dark. His palms were hot and sweaty; he had seen these tricks before. He never expected them to be used on him at the Ross family's banquet.

Now, his biggest concern was Holland!

Covington stood up and quickly walked towards the lounge room.

Dalvin joked, "Are you in such a hurry to see Holland?"

Calvin and Clementine, more sensitive, noticed that Covington's expression was off.

"We should go check it out too."

They stood up and followed Covington.

As soon as the main characters stood up, everyone couldn't help but pay attention to them.
