Chapter 18

Alex was in his office, making a call with a father who is willing to sell his omega werewolf for an affordable price. He was asking for when and where to pick her up when Rackel entered in a rush.

"I am busy, come back later" he said without glancing at her

"This is urgent, you have to come out" Rackel was panicking like she has seen a ghost or something "You need to see this".

Alex arched his brow, the sudden panic of Rackel was so unexpected as she's someone who goes around making people panic, rather than being the one panicking.

He dropped the call and followed her outside just like she wished.

Maybe Rackel had no other choice than to panic. He was more than surprised to see who was standing right in front of him.

The runaway omega and the greatest Alpha in Miami. It was indeed unexpected.

"To whom do I own this honour?" He glanced at Rubby before bowing his head for Silver "What can I do for you Alpha?"

"It seems you know me well" Silver glanced at Rubby and then at Alex.

He noticed how Alex kept glaring at Rubby almost every seconds

"it seems you also know this werewolf here beside me"

"You are right Alpha" Alex replied, his face glued back to the ground "I bought her as a slave but she escaped and my men have been searching for her for the past few days. I am very grateful you brought her back".

Rubby's eyes widened, as she stared at Silver with so much desperation. What if he has just been putting on an act and was really here to return her back to Alex

Then what would she do if that is really the case?

"I am here for a werewolf" Silver changed the topic when he noticed Rubby's stare "I believe you have her"

"Which werewolf are you here for?" Alex asked.

"She's a blind Delta" Silver gave a short description. No one needs to hear a full description before they knew who he was talking about.

Chelse is the only Blind Delta Alex is having in his custody so it was obvious.

"I am sorry Alpha but I can't just give her to you...."

"If you know me well then you must also know what I am capable of doing" Silver had a threatening look on his face, which was scary enough to send a cold down everyone's spine.

"Actually.... I.... don't get the wrong idea, Alpha" Alex stuttered "it's just that, I bought her so I can't just give her to you. Including the one beside you"

"How much for the both of them?" Silver said hurriedly and brought out his wallet from his pocket "Do you need cash? Or cheque or perhaps, I need your account number?".

Rubby heaved a sigh of relief, Silver must have been an asshole but at least this time he isn't acting tough. She was worried he might actually return her back to Alex even if it is to get Chelse but the fact that he's willing to give a lot of money for the both of them made her feel like he's reliable.

Alex and Rackel exchange glances. They just didn't get what was going on.

Why is an Alpha like silver here by himself and willing to pay any amount whatsoever just for two low lives like Chelse and Rubby.

"Alpha, I appreciate the fact that you are willing to pay any amount for the both of them but there are other things you need to do like signing a document and......."

"Just tell me everything I need to do and I will do it" Silver interrupted Alex's explanation hurriedly.

Since Alex knew Silver was not willing to waste anytime and in order to avoid his anger as he has heard the numerous rumours of him being a wicked Alpha, he was not willing to get on his nerves so he just gave him the documents needed to sign and they both a negotiation about the money.

He ended up paying millions of dollars for the both of them.

Alex knew he was rushing and eager so he used the opportunity to collect twice the price

After all was done, he ordered his minors to bring out Chelse from the storage room where she has been locked for days.

When she was brought out and Rubby saw her condition, tears once again dripped from her eyes. Seeing David's health, it was not like she expected less but Chelse was being moved like she had no soul in her.

"Chelse!" She yelled out her name and ran to hug her, she noticed the blood stain in her mouth and also how she was having difficulty in breathing.

She glared back at Alex who was not done glaring at her, no matter what happened, it hurts her to the heart to see that this was how Chelse was treated.

"I will help her to the car" Silver moved closer and carried Chelse inside the car.

While he was doing this, Rubby wiped her tears and cursed out at Alex

"You look mad" Alex grinned

"How could you do this to her? What in the world did you do to her to make her look like that?" She clenched her fist and gnashed her teeth furiously

"I gave her wolfsbane" Alex smirked proudly "And I have no antidote for it. But she's stronger than expected, she has been holding on for days".

"You devil! How could do this? Why?!!" She yelled at her loudest voice which caught the attention of everyone "You are worst than the devil itself"

"Don't blame me, everything that happened was your fault. If only you didn't sneak away and leave her alone in that storage room then I would have spared her" Alex sighed "You should hurry up and get her an antidote, I don't think she would make it through the night".

"I swear if anything happens to Chelse...." Rubby grind her teeth "I am going to kill you, Alex".

"Are you sure about that?" Alex scoffed "You don't look like you can kill an ant, so you are gonna kill me? You can try it out".

Rubby was breathing furiously, she had so many wicked thoughts she wanted to do to Alex at the moment but the fact that she won't really be able to handle him all by herself made her hold back.

"Calm yourself down" her wolf said to her so she just listen to it.

They went back to the Pack quietly, Chelse's head was placed on her head as her heart kept racing, praying they would get back early so they would get an antidote and treat both Chelse and David.

She couldn't stop thinking about what Alex said, what if she really does not make the night? Then it would really be her fault.

She won't blame herself for only Chelse death but also David's death. The thought of it made her heart shattered to pieces.

In a few minutes, they were back to the pack and the Chelse was brought out of the car and moved to a room to be taken care of by the maids until an antidote is found.

Silver immediately called a meeting with all the elders to look for an antidote, thankfully the elders were familiar with wolfsbane and the antidote.

An antidote was prepared and given to both Chelse and David.

Silver sat beside David, waiting patiently for him to wake. The antidote took a while to work as he was still unconscious for like an hour.

Going to like two hours, he finally opened his eyes. His dry lips were wet and soft and his body which were turning white like his soul had leave his body was turned back to his normal colour.

He coughed as he sat up and took a breathe.

"David" Silver called and threw him a big hug without minding the fact that they are Alpha and Beta.

He heaved a sigh of relief. It was indeed a relief to see him looking alive.

"I feel great" David sounded surprise while stretching his body "Alpha, I owe you a lot. Thanks for saving my life"

"I did what had to be done, it was my fault you have to go through a punishment like that" Silver Sulked "I am sorry David, I know it may take a while for you to forgive me and you are just acting as my Beta because you have no other choice, I...."

"Silver" David interrupted.

Silver tilted up his head in awe. It was the first time David would call him by his name for the first time since the few years they have graduated from high school.

He has already regarded to him as Alpha just like the other wolves in the pack.

"I am really grateful. You saved my life so you can stop blaming yourself for what happened now" David smiled "By the way, where is she?"

"She?" Silver arched his brow

"My mate?"

Silver could feel his hand trembling once again, he remembered telling Fransisca to inform him if Chelse is awake so why hasn't he heard anything from her?
