Chapter 85

Ariel's POV

"Should I be worried about the Werewolf Council?" I asked after the Council Members left. I believed he was telling the truth when he said they would be watching.

"There is no reason for you to worry, Princess. You haven't broken any laws, but we will keep watch. I am sure they will be watching us," Brandon said

"You will keep working with Tabatha to learn to control your gifts, and everything will be fine," Landon added, and I nodded.

"Now let's finish the celebration on you becoming the Luna to our Pack," Brandon said

"Okay," I replied. Brandon took one of my hands, and Landon took the other, and we walked out to the backyard to celebrate with our Pack Members and guests.

"Is everything okay?" Pam asked as we walked over to her.

"Yes, everything is fine. The Council Members have left," Brandon said. I noticed all the Pack Members were staring at me, and I was beginning to feel uncomfortable.

"Some of the Pack Members are a little nervous about Ariel now that they know she is a witch. You might want to say something to ease their worries," Pam said, and Brandon nodded.

"Hello, everyone. I know you all must be shocked to learn that your new Luna Ariel is a Witch. I want to let you know there is nothing to worry about. Ariel is a good witch and would never hurt anyone. Is there anything any of you would like to ask?" Brandon said

"Why did you keep this a secret from the Pack?" one of the Pack Members asked.

"Ariel only found out about a month ago what she is. We thought it would be best to keep her being a witch a secret to keep her safe. We were worried that Rogues or something might want to hurt her. We also know that most of you are not fond of witches, and we didn't want anyone to make her uncomfortable," Landon said

"You never liked humans or witches. Has that changed since finding out Luna Ariel is your Mate?"

"We are working on our issues with humans and witches. While we feel uncomfortable around them, we love our Mate. We understand now that not all humans and witches are evil. We want all of you to understand that as well. Alpha Landon and I made a mistake in mistreating humans and witches, and we plan on changing our ways as well as the way the Pack is run," Brandon said

"For now on, we expect everyone that is a part of this Pack to treat Humans and Witches with respect. Also, if you are mated to witches or humans, you will not need to reject them if you want to stay a part of the Pack. We will let them join this Pack, and they will be treated with respect by everyone. If anyone breaks these rules, they will be punished," Landon added.

"We will talk more about this later. We will be holding a mandatory meeting in about two days to talk about this further. Right now, I would like to celebrate our new Luna," Branon said

"Yes, Alpha," Everyone replied

I was happy that it seemed most of the Pack Members were glad the rules were being changed. I did, however, see that some looked upset, and I noticed some glares being thrown my way, but I chose to ignore them. I knew it would take a while for everyone to get used to the changes that were coming.

I was so happy that Brandon and Landon were making these changes for the Pack. It wasn't right that they woudl make their Pack Members that were mated anything that wasn't a werewolf reject their Mate or leave the Pack. I wondered how many of their Pack Members rejected their Mates because they didn't want to get kicked out of the Pack.

"Alphas, Luna, can I talk to you for a moment?" One of the Pack Members asked. He went to my school and was in some of my questions.

"Sure, Lucas. How can I help you?" Brandon asked

"I know you said we woudl talk about this later, but there is something important I need to talk to you about," Lucas said

"What is that?" Brandon asked

"On my eighteenth birthday last month, I met my Mate, Olivia," Lucas said

"Congratulations Lucas. Why didn't you say anything?" Brandon asked. I knew why he didn't say anything. Olivia was one of the humans that went to the school with us.

"He didn't say anything because Olivia is human. She goes to school with us. Did you reject her?" I asked worriedly

"No. I have been hiding this from everyone. Olivia doesn't even know. I started failing math so she could tutor me after school so I could spend some time with her. I know she can feel the sparks when we touch, but she doesn't know anything about werewolves or Mates. I know she is being abused at home, and I was hoping now that you are changing the laws, she could come and stay with me. After I tell her everything that is," Lucas said

"Of course she can," I answered first. "But you will have to gain her trust first. It won't be easy. It is going to take a lot of work for you to gain her trust," I said

"I will do anything it takes. I love Olivia, Luna Ariel," Lucas said, causing me to smile.

"Good, and maybe Laura and I can help you," I said

"Thanks, Luna Ariel," Lucas said

"You were very brave not to reject your Mate, knowing you could have been banished. I respect you for that," Brandon said

"Thanks, Alpha," Lucas said and went to enjoy the party with his friends.

"I love you both so much, and it makes me happy you are changing for me," I said.

"We love you too and would do anything for you."
