Chapter 64 The Outburst of Millers. An Unexpected Caller.

Chapter 64 The Outburst of Millers. An Unexpected Caller.
Author’s POV,

The sound of Abram’s fist slamming against the table echoed across the living hall.

“Fuck!” he roared. “We told you… we fuvking told you to make him cheat on you so your marriage with him could be nullified! But instead of doing that, you got yourself pregnant with his bastard, bloody child!”

Eva closed her eyes. The words struck harder than any slap could have.

She sat stiffly on the sofa, her fingers clenched in the fabric of her dress. Across the room, Robert sat on the master chair, a cigar burning slowly between his fingers. Smoke curled lazily around him as he stared ahead, looking distant, as if his mind had wandered somewhere far away.

Abram, however, was far from calm. He paced like a caged animal. When Eva first revealed the pregnancy, Abram had assumed the child belonged to another man… anyone other than Rafael Vladimirs. But when she told him the truth, something inside him had snapped. Now he looked like a man ready to tear the room apart.

“My medicine was exchanged,” Eva said quietly.

Abram stopped pacing.

“What?”

“My pills,” she repeated, lifting her gaze slightly. “They were exchanged.” Abram ran a hand through his hair, frustration radiating off him.

“How the fuck did he even know about your pills?” he demanded. Eva swallowed.

“My belongings were checked before they brought them into the bedroom.”Abram stared at her in disbelief.

“You’re telling me,” he said slowly, “that you just let that happen?”

“I didn’t have a choice.” she replied.

“You could have gotten another pack!” Abram barked. “Eva, you could’ve gone to a doctor, a pharmacy…. Anything!. Why the hell did you let him touch you in the first place?!” The words pierced through her like knives Eva’s breathing faltered.

Memories flooded her mind… cold hands gripping her wrist, Rafael’s quiet but terrifying voice, the suffocating weight of the Vladimirs mansion, the way every move of hers was watched.

Her stomach twisted.

“Abram… please stop,” she whispered. Her voice trembled.

“I don’t want to talk about my… marital relations.” But Abram was beyond stopping.

“You need to fucking abort this filthy blood of the Vladimirs,” he spat. Eva’s eyes snapped open.

“I can’t.” Abram scoffed.

“Can’t?” he repeated mockingly. “Or WOULDN’T?”

“He warned me.” She replied.

“What warning?”Abram narrowed his eyes.

Eva’s fingers tightened around the edge of the sofa.

“He said if I try anything like that…” she paused, her throat dry, “…he will kill both of you in the most horrible way possible.”
The room fell silent. Abram stared at her for a moment before letting out a harsh laugh.

“You actually believe that?” Eva did not answer. Her silence lingered in the air. Abram’s smirk slowly grew.

“You are scared of him,” he said.

Eva lifted her head.

“Yes,” she said firmly. “I am.” The confidence in her voice made Abram’s smirk falter.

“I am not scared because of rumors,” Eva continued quietly. “I am scared because I have seen what he is capable of.”
Abram folded his arms.

“Oh really?”

“Yes.” Her voice became colder.

“Killing someone without remorse… without fear… it’s his favorite thing.” Abram frowned.

“His inner monster,” Eva continued bitterly, “finds satisfaction when he destroys people.” Abram’s jaw clenched.

“I have seen vans filled with dead bodies that belonged to the Romanos,” she said, her voice shaking slightly. “I have seen him slit someone’s throat without blinking. I have seen him lose control… just because he wanted someone dead.” Abram’s expression darkened.

“You… ”

“Enough is enough, Abram.” Robert’s calm but firm voice cut through the room like a blade. Both Eva and Abram turned toward him. Robert slowly removed the cigar from his lips.

“But Dad… she is pregnant with~”

“She is no longer your sister.” Eva felt a chill run down her spine.

Robert’s words were calm. Too calm.

“She no longer belongs to the Millers,” Robert continued. “She is married into the Vladimirs. From the moment that happened, she became part of their family.”

Eva’s heart tightened painfully.

“And it is her duty,” Robert said slowly, “to extend the bloodline of the Vladimirs.”

Silence filled the room.

The soft hum of the air conditioner was the only sound echoing through the hall.

Abram’s face twisted in anger.

“I hate that blood,” he growled.

Robert looked at him without emotion.

“So what are you going to do about it?” Abram’s eyes burned with rage.

“I will kill them.”Eva’s heart skipped.

“I will fucking wipe out the Vladimirs.”

His gaze shifted toward her.

The intensity in his eyes made a wave of fear rush through Eva’s chest.

For the first time since entering the room…
She felt unsafe in Abram’s presence.

“No,” she said suddenly, standing up. Both men looked at her.

“You can’t.”
Abram laughed harshly.

“And why not?” Eva placed a hand over her stomach.

“This child,” she said, her voice trembling but determined, “is also a part of me.”
Abram’s expression hardened.

“I will not let you do anything stupid that could harm me or my child.”

“Your child?” Abram sneered. “You mean his child.”

“Yes,” Eva said quietly. This only fueled his anger.

“If you hate that part of me,” she continued, her voice breaking slightly, “then just say it.”
Her fingers reached for her phone.

“I will call Rafael right now and leave.”
Abram’s eyes widened.

Eva’s thumb hovered over the screen.

“I won’t come back until after my child is born,” she said, tears finally spilling from her eyes. “And if you still want to see me… I will come alone.” Her voice cracked.

“Without my child.” The words hung heavily in the air. She began dialing.

“Eva.” Robert’s voice stopped her.

“Don’t.”Her hand froze.

Tears blurred her vision as she slowly lowered the phone.
For the first time since entering the room…

Eva realized she was standing between two worlds. One that wanted her blood. And one that wanted her unborn child dead.

“ Don't pay attention to Abram. You go and take rest in your bedroom. And, you don't need to worry about your stay. I am your daddy. It's your home too. You may live here as long as you want~

“ Not as long as I want. Rafael will come back to get me back as soon as he will clear out all the things and making sure that I stay safe in his mansion,” Eva said and Robert smiled.

“ Fucker,” Abram gritted his teeth.

“ Don't look at him. Go and take a rest in your bedroom,” Hearing it Eva nodded. She turned around and left from there.
As she passed from the place she felt unsafe as if she didn't belong to that place. Oh what Rafael had done to her?

In the Evening, Eva was sleeping in her bedroom peacefully when her phone which was on the bedside table buzzed. Lazily she extended her hand to the table and took her phone. Little-bit she parted her eyelashes to check who it was? But it showed a number so she received the call.

“ Hello, who is this?” She asked.

“ Have you forgotten about your husband?”
