Chapter 169
"Here this way," a guard led them to the dungeon.
"Here it doesn't look like a dungeon; no wonder the bitch is still alive," Sonia lied. Even a fool would never say that; she's only saying it for saying's sake.
"Don't say that, Sonia. It stinks so bad here. I think you should just go back and wait for us outside. We will join you shortly; don’t worry, we won’t waste much time," Bethel told her.
"Hell no! There's no way I'm leaving without seeing the bitch who dared that shit!"
"It's not good for your health, and you know it."
"Don't worry about my health. The odor here is not bad; in fact, I think it's good. Let's just go and see her ugly face; don't worry about me."
"Are you sure you will be fine?"
"Yes, I will be fine."
They got to the place, and the guard pointed at the cell where she was kept. She was already looking so dirty and unkempt; she looked thinner than she was yesterday. Well, like the maid said, they've been starving her. They only gave her food once yesterday, and since then, none of them has agreed to give her food. They would just bring the food, then listen for her to say something like, "What took you so long?" or "I don't eat fish," then they would just turn back and leave without saying a word to her. She would calm down and call on them to come back, but they wouldn't even look back to stare at her ugly face.
"It's okay; you can go back now," Michael told the guard after collecting the key from him.
"You should be careful; she's been fighting all the maids who brought her food. In fact, she even stabbed two maids—one yesterday and the other the day before. She's hiding a sharp object somewhere in her body. Keep the prince as far as possible from her; he might actually be her next target."
"She wouldn't dare try shit! I will surely beat her to a pulp if she tries any sort of nonsense," Bethel said.
"I know you'd beat her if she dared, but be careful because once it's done, it's done. You can only beat her, and it still won't change a thing; remember that."
"You are right. Don't worry, we will be very careful."
"Thank you for telling us," the guard bowed and then left.
Immediately, Sandra saw them; she stood up and walked towards them.
"Who are you people? And what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice sounding angry.
"Who we are doesn't matter; what matters is we are here for you." She chuckled and then walked closer to hold the bars.
"I've never for one day thought I would be a popular figure, but here I am, receiving visitors like I'm the alpha himself. I guess killing the Luna was worth it!" she jibbered.
"You? A popular figure? For killing the Luna? And you think you will go scot-free?" Michael asked her.
"I will. I don't need to be told because you all are already making it possible. Imagine three grown-ups coming to visit me this early morning. I was still sleeping; it was your noise that woke me up. God, being a celeb isn't easy," she giggled.
"And what makes you believe you will leave this prison alive?"
"First, I don't need to be told because I know Darien won't leave me to rot away here. I know for sure that he will come to get me out of here. Everything that's happening to me is only for the meantime." They all burst into annoying laughter.
"Who said you are going to leave this place alive?"
"And who is deceiving you that Darien is gonna get you out of here? Is it the same Darien who asked us to do whatever we please with you, or which of the Darians are you talking about?"
"Don't lie to me! Darien will never say that to you!"
"He's gotten enough of your lies. He's told us how you and your parents lied to tie him down. He told us how you've been blackmailing him all these years! You thought he wouldn't find out?"
"What do you mean? Please, don't slander me! I won't take it lightly with you!" she snapped.
"Oh, stop the pretense! Don't pretend like you don't know what we are talking about! He told us how your parents forced your foster sister to kill herself just so you could get him tied down, and as expected, it worked. At first, I was wondering where and how you got such a bad mind until he told me about your parents. I can see you got your wickedness from them; you copied their example. Who in God's name kills another person's daughter just to see they get what she wants? I like the way your parents died; I think karma caught up with them. But at least theirs was better; they were older. But look at you; even getting a true partner is one hell of a hard task. Karma sure caught up with you real quick. You are already reaping the fruit your evil parents planted. You will continue suffering till you die, not when we have his permission to do with you whatever we please. Just kill yourself because you won't even like yourself after we are done with you!" Sandra staggered back.
Darien has found out; now her slim chance of getting out is no more. Now that he knows what she did to him, he will never come to her. He's just gonna leave her here to rot away. He already did the worst by permitting them to deal with her. Now she's regretting listening to Emily's mom.
"What are you doing? Don't come close to me! I will shout!"
"Yeah, go ahead and shout, or rather save your voice for later because you will be needing it sooner!" Sonia smirked.
