Dr. Knight.

I stood up, looking at Angela and Bella.

“What does that mean? I’m sick of these kinds of games. I might die at any second. If either of you loves me, then please, just tell the truth now—or leave.”

I started to feel hopeless. I had had enough of these games. And I had had enough of women and sex. My heart had grown so weak because I had exhausted myself with excessive sexual desires. Though I was a doctor, I had been blinded by my obsession with loving and admiring women’s bodies. I had forgotten that a man, in the end, might die from overindulgence.

Oh yes, any man might die from too much sex. According to scientific research, men or women should have sex only once or twice a week at most. First, to prevent losing interest in sex or their partner. Second, because too much sex causes high blood pressure, blood flow issues, and overuse of muscles, which could ultimately lead to death—or worse, incurable diseases.

Angela sighed sharply, as if ready to confess something.

“Okay,” she said, “I loved you, but then I thought I should take revenge on you for forgetting me and living your life happily. But then… I found that I was still deeply in love with you, and I couldn’t just leave.”

I nodded and then motioned for Bella to speak.

“And you, Bella?”

Bella shrugged. “Okay. I thought I hated you because you kicked me out of your life after everything I did to satisfy your nasty needs. But in the end, I couldn’t. I kept investigating Angela and watching you. I even donated some of my blood for your operation.”

To my surprise, Angela added, “Yes, the doctors told me your ex-wife came and donated blood for you too.”

I sank into a chair, unsure of what to say or do. Which one should I choose? It was time to do something right for the people around me. Being selfish was a thing of the past. I wasn’t in full health anymore. I wasn’t that devastatingly handsome man anymore.

I rubbed my neck and raised my head to Angela.

“Is Nathan my son?” Yes, that was all I cared about.

Angela nodded, her tone almost shocked. “Yes, he’s your son.”

“Good,” I said, then turned to Bella. “Do you still love me? Because I have zero intention of going back into this threesome relationship with Gerard.” I needed to know what was in Bella’s heart.

Bella knelt by my knees, glaring at me. “I did all this for you. I don’t care about Gerard. Not sex. Not anything.”

I raised my hand. “Okay. I can’t choose now. All I know is that I need more time with my son.”

They looked at each other and suggested, almost in unison, “We can live together.”

I raised my brows. “All of us? That’s… a good idea. At least I can choose who’s ready to continue with me—and my life.”

I stood up slowly. Angela pulled my right arm over her shoulder, and Bella pulled my left arm over hers.

“Let us help you now,” they said.

As we walked, my inner devils began to whisper again, This time, you can have two wives.

I snapped back to reality and continued walking with them until we reached the hospital gate.

Bella suggested, “Come to my car. I’ll drive.”

Angela countered, “Come to mine. I’ll drive.”

I shook my head and pulled my arms free. “I’m taking a cab to my house. Both of you, go get your clothes. You’re both moving into my house.”

Hope lit up their eyes, and they smiled cheerfully. “Okay.”

Yeah, it seemed like a new, weird life was about to start. I hoped it would be better this time.

But two wives? Is that even possible? Or maybe two girlfriends? No need for formal titles to complicate things. Each of them would have her own room at my house. My son would stay in my room. I had so much to give to my son.

But guess what? The cab driver was none other than Gerard.

He drove slowly, then turned his head to me. “Welcome back to life, Doctor.”

“Gerard, what are you doing here?” I stiffened. Enough complications. I wanted to leave my past life behind.

Gerard smiled calmly. “Don’t worry. I just wanted to see you one last time and thank you for being with me for over a year in paradise. Take care of yourself.”

He parked in front of my house, got out, and walked to my side. Opening the door for me, he pulled me into a tight hug.

“Live happily, Angelo Knight.”

I patted his back. “I wish you the best too.”

Breaking the hug, I looked up to see my son already waiting in front of the house. He ran toward me.

“Daddy! Daddy!”

I waved goodbye to Gerard, who left immediately. I felt sorry for him, but my heart couldn’t take that kind of sharing anymore. I guess I had finally come to my senses.

But every ending brings a new beginning. And this was the best start ever—with my dear son.

And my two… loves? Wives? Girlfriends? Well, let’s see what happens. But I was sure of one thing: it would be fun.
