These pills
Viola's POV
That clueless little bitch...
She actually was living in that room, almost as though she didn't know that she was ruining someone's plan; my plan.
After leaving Luca's study I went straight to the kitchen.
I didn't know what to do or how to get rid of Aria; all I knew was that I had to somehow.
I thought of getting a knife and stabbing her right there until she stopped breathing under my watch... I could do it, it wouldn't be the first time I would be killing a person. But... What scared me was that Luca would know that it was murder.
He wouldn't stop until he found out who had done that to her. He might... He might even stop the wedding preparations to use the remaining time to look for the murderer.
I... I couldn't use that method. I needed one a lot less brutal. One that wouldn't force Luca to look for the killer... That he would just have to believe she was dead, and that was that.
There wasn't a method in the world that would make Luca not look for her killer, because... I knew him. No matter what, he would think that it was murder.
I mean...
That bitch, as stupid as she is wouldn't kill herself, Luca knew that too.
I just needed a method that buys time.
As I paraded across the kitchen looking clueless a young maid walked up to me.
"Ms... I mean, ma'am..."
I turn to glare at her.
She should be grateful to her stars that she corrected herself on time because if not, I would have transferred all my aggression to her.
"What?" I angrily asked, annoyed that she had disturbed my thoughts.
The maid quickly bowed her head. "I'm sorry, it's just... I saw you here and I thought to ask what you're going to eat."
"What I'm going to eat..."
Seriously? Who did the lowlife think I was?
I thought with a scoff.
If I wanted to eat, why would I come to the kitchen when I could just order someone to cook for me?
I turned to face her, my expression hardened. "You better..."
"I can cook anything ma'am. I really can. It's just... I've really wanted to cook for you."
I scoffed again.
What is this b...?
Then it struck me.
Food.
I could use food.
The best way to kill her, slow, painful... And without getting my hands bloody. I could do it through food.
The new idea made my eyes glisten, and a small smirk appeared on my face. I looked at the maid who still had her head down and was not trembling, probably regretting having walked up to me in the first place.
"You can cook anything?"
She quickly nodded. "Yes. Anything at all, just name..."
"What do you think will be digested in a newly pregnant woman's stomach?" I interrupted her with a question.
The bitch is pregnant. And from the look and smell of the dungeon yesterday, she hadn't been eating.
Probably morning sickness or something...
I had to give her something she was going to eat and digest.
Why? Because the medication I was going to give her to work, the food has to be properly digested.
The maid looked lost for a few seconds, as though wondering what I needed the information for, but she didn't dare ask, afraid of her life.
"Em... Em.... porridge?" She said at last as though she was asking me.
I had no freaking idea. If I knew, would I ask?
"I think porridge would work... If cooked well and..."
"Good." I nodded, the small smirk still on my lips. "Make me porridge then, make it snappy."
The more time Aria stays alive, the more time she will think about Luca.
I hated that his name was in her thoughts.
After instructing the maid, I turned around and went back upstairs to my room to get the medicine.
"Where the hell did I put it?" I wondered, scanning my room quickly after closing the door.
My father ran a drug factory. I had dozens of dangerous drugs in a container somewhere.
Some could make you sleep, some could make you hallucinate, and some... In this case, stops a pregnant woman from taking everything away from me by killing her.
I knew for sure that the drug would work, I just, I... I just had to find it first.
I had to find it first. My father... Had he always been a bit crazy? He never flinched even at the thought of nursing someone.
I had heard him speak about it while holding his favorite weapon... His hammer.
So, there was no reason for me to be afraid, I said to myself as I searched around.
Killing Aria... it would only make Father proud of me.
My lips stretched into a full smile and I stopped walking about.
I... I had found it.
I stretched my hands to grab the bottle before pulling it forward. The smile grew hotter and I raised the small container, the different colored pills shiny in the air.
These pills... They were almost impossible to spot in the system; only their symptoms were visible, and it took a little while for the symptoms to be activated. It was my father's prized possession.
With this... I would finally be able to get rid of Aria. She was finally going to regret ever coming to this house in the last moment of her death.
I wouldn't be able to witness it, but I would make sure of it.
I caught the bottle in my hands and returned to the kitchen. I couldn't trust anymore... Not even that maid who only said she wanted to make food for me.
I had been nothing but mean to all the staff... They were lowlifes and good-for-nothings, so I wasn't regretting anything, but why would one of them like me so much?
Something was suspicious about her.
Good thing I wasn't going to be the one tasting her meal.
