Darius POV
"I want you to find out everything happening in that pack." I told Nathan.
"Yes boss, I will get to it now." He replied, bowing and walking out of my office.
Something is fishy, and I want to know what it is. I want to know why Leonard requested for Iris to come home for two days, why he is suddenly interested in knowing if we are going for a honeymoon or not.
I have pondered about this all through yesterday that she was gone. But I couldn't find answers to any of the questions.
I just hope Nathan finds something on them.
"Boss," Nathan called out, stepping into my office again.
"What is it Nathan, have you found something that fast?" I asked.
"Not yet boss but someone is here to see you." He informed me.
"Who is here to see me again?" I groaned.
"Donovan Steele." He answered.
"I thought I told him, I was going to pick the time and date, why the fuck is he here then?"
"I don't know but he just showed up and asked for you." He replied.
"Let him come in." I said, straightening in my seat.
Nathan nodded his head and left my office, a minute later the door creaked open again and Donovan stepped in.
"We meet again, Acrux." He said in a deep voice.
"I wish we never did Steele." I said flatly, not bothering to hide my irritation.
He sat down on the chair across from him, straightening his suit.
"What do you want now Donovan?" I said, not having time to banter to and fro with him.
"I have some information that might be useful to you." He said with a smirk on his face.
"I'm not interested Donovan, I don't care what you have to say. Just leave me alone."
"Oh you will be interested in this and you definitely care." He said, flashing me his teeth.
"Fine, spew the rubbish. Let's hear it."
"Someone just paid me to kill Iris." He said and I looked at him shocked.
"Again? Who the fuck is it this time?" I barked.
"Relax Darius, calm down..."
"Don't fucking tell me to calm down Donovan. Tell me the fucking name already." I hissed.
"Well, what's in it for me if I tell you?" He asked.
Of course he was going to tell me for nothing, he was here to bargain with me. But I didn't care, this is about Iris' life . I will do anything I have to.
"What do you want?"
"There is this business I have been doing for sometime and now I require the connection of someone more, like the most ruthless werewolf and who is better than Darius Acrux himself." He replied.
"What kind of business is it?" I asked him.
"Let's not rush now, I will tell you about it later. All I need for now is your approval." He said.
"Fine, you have my approval now tell me the fucking name of the person."
"Good. Daniel Greene."
"Him again?" I growled.
"Yeah, he wants me to kill her again. Now I have provided you with his name, do whatever you want with it." He replied, standing up and leaving my office.
I banged my fists on the table, this man is playing with death. I'm going to kill him myself, I wonder why I haven't done that earlier.
I got up from my chair, kicking it back with full force. I grabbed my phone heading outside. I got into the car and went to the one place I knew Daniel was going to be
The pub, he is a lover of drinking and that is where he spends his day and night. Because of his drinking addiction he had his own pub built in his name.
I drove over to the pub, breaking every traffic law without any care. I got to the pub in no time, I got out of the car hurriedly.
"Good afternoon Alpha Darius, welcome to Sensations." The bouncer greeted me but I didn't bother replying to him. I walked past him with one goal in mind.
Kill Daniel.
I pushed through the crowds of drunk people swaying their bodies left to right. Who fucking gets drunk in broad daylight.
I spotted Daniel already drunk as expected with two women at each of his sides. I didn't wait for him to say anything before I pulled the trigger.
The bullet pierced into his forehead with blood gushing out. The women by his sides shouted, the whole pub in a full chaos now.
I walked out, my job here is already done. I didn't care about what anyone had to say, killing in public wasn't something I do on a regular basis but I couldn't wait today.
I got back into my car and headed back to my office. "Alpha, I have been looking for you." Nathan said as I entered the office.
"Mmn. I was just taking care of someone that's been naughty." I replied, settling down on my chair.
He nodded his head and cleared his throat. "I have some information that might be useful."
"Let's hear it." I said.
"You were right, Iris did replace Vickie on the altar."
"I knew that already, tell me something I do not know." I groaned.
"Vickie is pregnant, that's all I know for now but I'm still waiting for more." He answered.
"Pregnant you say?"
"Yeah."
Now, that is something I didn't expect. "Do we know who got her pregnant?"
"Yeah, her ex. Her father found out at the wedding and had Iris take her place." He responded.
"Mmn. I need you to find out more Nathan. That pregnancy isn't the only reason for all of this." I said.
"I will boss, I just need more time." He muttered.
"Take all the time you need but don't take too long." I dismissed him with a wave of my hand and he left my office.
What are you planning Leonard? I asked in my head, this man is proving to be a threat and I don't mind erasing a threat.
