Chapter Twelve: You look stunning

(Ellen's POV)

I was not expecting anyone to knock on the door that fast.

I picked up my clothes hastily and put them on. Going out of the lavatory, I faced the mirror that was placed not distant from where I came out. I could not comprehend if it was the mirror making some kind of magic on my face or if I was the stunning one.

Curling my body around, I admired my current physique. It appears as if I had increased in weight and I was looking more happier. Just within the space of how many hours? I had become lively and joyful.

"This is great!" I said, smiling and making poses in front of the object that reflected my image.

"Damn! I am ho..."

"My Queen." the feminine voice called, knocking on the door again.

I had forgotten someone was at the door.

Leaving the front of the item, I scurried to open the door. A lady who was almost reaching the height of the entrance stood before me. She was dark, had the skin of a chocolate confectionary, and a body not so fat. Her eyes were that of a puppy, looking so naive and with no gash. Without contemplation, if I were a male wolf, I would have implored and wished continuously for the Moon Goddess to make her my soulmate.

"Good evening, My Queen," she said softly.

Not only good looks, but she also possessed an infant's voice that could make a hungry lion protect him.

"Good morning," I said firmly, trying to conceal my shock. "How can I assist you?" I added.

"My name is Liana. I have been sent by the King to ask if you are ready for dinner at the table," she answered as her head was bent slightly.

The respect took me aback. I believe you should be cognizant of the reason now. I have never been treated like a significant person since I was given birth to till this moment and I was already used to it. So this was like a solace to me.

Coming out of my thoughts, I replied to her instantly. "Hmmm, okay. I will get ready to have that. Expect me soon." Finishing my statement, I signaled to her to leave modestly.

"Okay My Queen," she said, bowing as she exited the room.

"Phew!" I exclaimed, resting my back against the door after closing it.

"It is a new life entirely and I have to acclimate to the adaptations," I said, going back to where I rushed out from.

******

"The table has been designated, My Queen." Beta Ernest said as I bumped into him while trying to close the door from outside.

"Oh dear!" I pronounced, holding my chest firmly.

I was scared for a second as I did not expect to see him. "I am sorry if I scared you for a moment," he spoke, bending his head a little. "No, no. It is okay." I replied, swallowing a tiny spit.

"I was about to go to the dining table when I bumped into you," I added. At this time, I have gained composure.

"Oh, that is fair." Beta Ernest said, looking at me in some kind of way. I noticed it and I decided to speak out.

"Umm, what is the matter?" I asked, sheepishly, hoping I would get a sincere answer. I was already feeling awkward with the glances.

"Nothing at all, Ellen. But I must say, you look gorgeous. The dress is nice." he said as he smiled broadly, showing his upper teeth that conformed to terms of placement.

"Oh, thank you," I said, already becoming shy and at the same time, happy. Getting compliments, being esteemed, looking healthy, and having peace of mind almost immediately is a whole lot to take in.

"He will be so joyful to see you this way," he said, cracking up and going ahead of me, to the dining room which was down the stairs.

"Who?" I asked immediately but did not get a retort as he was almost walking out of my sight.

"What is he talking about?" I inquired of myself, increasing my walk to meet up with him.

I thought I had seen the best of all in the house until I got to the dining table.

It was a large room filled with a very nice scent that could send one to the land of paradise. Looking around, I gasped at the decor of the huge and glittering chandelier that hung above the main dining table. One part of the room had sculptures that depicted that of wolves showing distinct actions. At a glimpse, one could deduce it was made by an experienced. Veering around to my left, I saw a series of paintings that gave detailed data about the narrative of Night Pack. It was easy for me to know about this because I have heard other she-wolves having a dialogue about it.

Believing that was all, the set of maids that were located not far from the table were all appropriately dressed in uniform. It was not formidable for one to declare the Lycan King as one of the richest.

The dining room said it all.

"Welcome Ellen." A calm voice, but chimed masculine called my name.

Ending my deep thoughts that were pushed by the fantasies I fed my eyes with, I brought myself back to reality and adjusted my dress like it needed adjustment.

"Yes, My Ki...ii… ngg I spoke as I stammered. Nevertheless, I made an effort to use the perfect soothing tone.

Proceeding to where he was seated, I carefully and respectfully walked. Despite I had been in prison all my life, I have seen and heard from other she-wolves, the satisfactory way to walk that could impress either a lycan or mere wolf.

And that, I displayed.

"Take a seat." the Lycan King said, tapping the chair that was beside him.

"Ummm, my King, I do not need to sit here. Let me sit on this..."

"What do you mean? You want to defy my decree?" he said calmly as he looked at my countenance.

"No, no," I said, immediately standing to switch my position.

I did not want to upset him because the first treat he gave me had made me grow to love him a bit.

"There you go," he said as he gently drummed the table.

"You look astonishing, I must confess." he declared.

I was not envisioning that at all. It was as if a sweet tempo was played in my ears and so I could not contain my joy.

I giggled unknowingly.

He peeked at me in amazement and smiled.

Realizing what I had just done, I covered my mouth almost immediately and made a small cough as if I had to learn my throat.

"I...I...am sorry about that," I said, bending my head slightly.

"You do not have to be sorry for looking beautiful," he said, picking up a utensil and silverware. ,

"Let us eat," he spoke out and motioned to me to pick mine too.

"Okay, my King," I said, doing as he urged.

I looked at the meal which appeared salivating. Shutting my eyes slowly, I breathe in and out, keen to ingest.

Opening them, I smiled at the food that was waiting for me to devour it.

And I did as it compelled me to.
