Chapter 23

" Charles Sinclair, my lady. "

As soon as he stepped into the room, my eyes immediately shifted over to where Helena and Theo stood. The tension that filled the air just confirmed my growing suspicions even more between the two. Energy that immediately consumes the room can not be ignored or easily looked over by any of us for that matter. Like two tethered strings that were so strained from being pulled apart far past their point... I watched as my younger daughter's hand slowly fell from Theos grasp almost in a slow motion and it looked as if his pressence had a natural pull to her. This was a love you could not ignore...it was all happening in the eyes of us all right in our faces like a painting on display for us all to see, for all of us to admire. Now if I could obtain this all just from what my point of view it was such a wonder to me how these two could not feel...

*" for we are tangled, knotted, locked, and tied to one and other forever my love "*

I clutch onto my necklace that lay upon my chest as tears well up in my eyes at the thought of how my husband has always described the two of us...like two tethered strings.

" I apologize for my abrupt interuption, I had not recieved word on Helenas well being so I am glad to see for myself that she is well, please accept these flowers on my behalf "

He kept it quick and straight to the point then with that charles cleared is throat once more, turned upon his heels and was making his way out the room he had just entered mere seconds ago..his eyes not meeting Helenas once as he was aware of his younger brothers presence and it was clear that he was not very fond of or even curious as to why he was here. It took everything in me not to usher Helena to go after him, convincing myself this all had to play out itself and I had to leave it to them. Although I did no such thing and did not even go after him myself I could not help the gasp that audibly escaped from my mouth when our doorman stepped into the room with the large assortment of the most delicate pink roses I had every laid eyes upon. The flowers looked like they complimented my daughter on their own, and said all they needed to alone. The large assorment also making Theos odd offering of the awkward potted plants... or flowers even more sad than they were before. Immediately looking over to Helena, her eyes glued to the bouquet as well she seemed to have gravitated towards the flowers like she was in a trance, the same way she did charles might I add, and away from Theo... I could not help but to scream with glee in my own thoughts. I was jumping and clapping my hands together for my daughter has finally found the one. Watching this all unfold in front of my eyes was like watching the fairytales you would read as a child about the princess finding her prince.

As a mother I believe we can see things before our own children, feel them even. A gift that can often be quite frustrating at times. In all honesty I had begun to worry about marrying my daughters off, my oldest I still do not fully understand why she hasn't married but I havent been too worried as Im sure she does not face the same struggles as her sister. Helena is just more reserved I dont believe I have ever seen her interact with any other men rather than her father and the Sinclair boys. Watching them all grow up I always did believe one of my daughters would end up with one of the three now specifically which ? I had no clue. Now as the days pass and I pay closer attention when these two are in the same room, the way charles sprung into action for helena immediatly, I finally have my answer. As Helena seemed too consumed by the extravagant yet simple bundle of the most beautiful roses my eyes trailed over to Theo whom also was well, oblivious. I cleared my throat

" Theo, while it was lovely for you to stop by and check on Helena I do believe she would benefit from resting a bit more "

Hesitant at first Theo began to bid his goodbyes to us one by one until he stopped Infront of Helena once more. He looked into her eyes before making his way out the doors, we all stood silently. The smell of the flowers consumed the room as well as captivating Helena whole. The calm, quiet moment was cut quite abruptly as my oldest, Emilia, rose from her seat and stormed from the room in distress. Which caused Helena to snap out of her trance and immediately look to me as we shared a confused look, but her eyes still held that glimmer I recognize all too well. When your heart feels warmth and hope, when the butterflies in your stomach settle and all of your senses have fixated on what your soul knows what is for you, when it recognizes love... My look of confusion shifts to a knowing look. Just like that Helena looked back to the flowers, then to me, and back once more. A single tear broke free from her eyes, then she made a quiet yet swift exit from the room...
