Chapter 83 Sorry, bitch. His memory of you has been deleted
Sebastian was a different man now. He was not the lovesick fool who used to believe her every word. Any pity he once felt for her was long gone.

"My girl has done just fine without a mother. She will keep doing fine," Sebastian said, his voice like ice.

Sienna felt her whole world collapse. This had been her final move, and it had failed completely. There was nothing left to say. Every ugly truth was out in the open.

The FBI agents had heard it all from their post. There was just one last thing for Caspian to do.

He tapped a number on his phone and put it on speaker. A man answered, and Sienna knew that voice immediately.

Her whole body went cold. "Caspian? Is there good news? We are about to lose everything. Are you sending the investment money you promised?"

Michelle’s expression darkened. So, Caspian had been ready to pour more money into the Vance family.

Now, she watched to see what he would do. Caspian kept his cold stare locked on Sienna as he answered the man on the phone.

"Mister Vance, I will not apologize. I am ending every business deal I have with your family. My assistant will contact you with the details."

"Well, there is my signal," Madison said from her table, pulling her iPad from her bag. "No wonder he told me to take the day off. I am still working from home."

If Caspian said it, she did it. Thinking about it now, her boss was always several steps ahead. He knew exactly what was going to happen today.

"Caspian, what is this about?" Sienna’s father sounded panicked on the line. Sienna felt a burning sickness in her gut, as if she had swallowed fire.

"Your daughter has all the answers. You should call her. Or better yet, find her a very good lawyer."

He ended the call. Right then, two men walked in, holding up FBI badges. "Miss Vance, we heard your confession. You need to come with us now."

All the color left Sienna’s bruised and swollen face. She looked like a ghost as a raw scream ripped from her throat. "Caspian, no! We have nothing left!"

Caspian stared at her, unmoving. His phone began to ring, and Sienna could see it was her father. He did not answer it. Then her own phone rang.

She had no time to answer. She spun toward Sebastian. "Sebastian, I am begging you. We can try again. We have a daughter."

Caspian was afraid Sebastian, with all his old feelings for her, might actually think about it. He spoke up fast.

"You destroyed my child. Not even Sebastian can protect you from what I will do, Sienna. Call your lawyers. And before I forget, give me my ring back. I would not want you to sell it to pay one of them."

Lake let out a short laugh. "Since when do you take back gifts?"

Madison, typing on her iPad, answered without looking up. "I agree with him. That ring cost over two hundred thousand dollars. It could hire a very good lawyer."

Sienna clutched her hand, refusing to let it go. Caspian’s voice became a low growl. "Do not make me take it from you." He looked at their waitress, who stepped forward and carefully pulled the ring from Sienna’s finger.

The two agents then led her away. Sienna could not believe this was happening. This was so much bigger than anything Michelle had ever done to her. "Caspian, please!" The man was a wall of stone, so she turned her desperate, weeping eyes to Michelle. "Michelle, I am sorry. You have a good heart. Please, forgive me."

Tears streamed down her cheeks, mixing with the red marks on her face. She looked truly pitiful.

Michelle spoke, her tone solemn. "I do forgive you, Sienna. But my child, who never got to live, deserves justice."

Seeing no hope there, Sienna twisted back toward Sebastian. "Please, Seb. Remember all our good times together?"

He looked at her with empty eyes. "What good times? I do not recall them. I do not even remember your name."

His cruel sarcasm made Lake chuckle. "Sorry, bitch. His memory of you has been deleted."

Lake hated her for what she had done, for making Caspian lose Michelle. He knew his friend would not sleep tonight. Caspian might look calm and in control now, but Lake knew he would fall apart the moment they left.

The waitress brought the ring to Caspian. He did not take it. "Keep it. Consider it your tip. It should sell for nearly two hundred thousand. I hope your mother gets better."

The waitress was so stunned by his kindness she dropped to her knees, keeping a respectful distance. "Thank you, sir. Thank you so much. My mother… she will be so happy. God bless you."

The show was over. Michelle was the first to stand. "I should go," she said.

Naturally, Rush, Edmund, and mira got up to leave with her.

Just then, Caspian’s voice stopped them. "Elara. Please, give me one minute."
