Chapter 5 - Lindy's Past

Chapter 5 - Lindy's Past
Lindy's P.O.V.

I pull Dayan toward the back of the unit and whisper. I can't risk being heard until I decide what we should do.

"That man out there is Adam. When the elderly couple I was staying with died, he tried to force me to live with him. He said I was too young to live on my own, and he was their closest neighbor, so I needed to go with him. I tried to run away, but he forced me to his house. He tried to rape me, and I kneed him in the groin and ran. He grabbed me by the hair, pulled me back to the bedroom, and threw me on the bed. He removed his pants and attempted to get on top of me. I kneed him in the groin again and bit his neck so hard I took out a chunk of his skin and ran out while he screamed. I didn't think he'd have the balls to come after me."

Dayan looks angrier the more I talk. I hold onto his hand and shake my head when he tries to walk toward the door. I don't know what Adam is planning or who else is with him.

"I can't let him get away," Dayan whispers.

"Come on, little bunny, I know you're in here. We don't want to hurt you; I just want to know where Lindy is." I guess that's something, at least. He doesn't know it's me in here. I know what we can do.

"I'm going out there. When they come after me, you come out and help me take them down." I whisper. Dayan puts his mouth on mine and kisses me hard. Damn, I love how it feels like he's possessing me when we kiss, and it's only our second kiss. I can't wait to see how else he possesses me.

"Okay, but I can't promise that they'll be leaving here. No one messes with my bunny," Dayan says against my lips. I place my bag on the floor and smile.

"If they don't leave, that's their problem. Are you ready? Once we get the other misfits treated, I expect you to show me how much you want me to be your bunny," I reply, looking into his gorgeous gray eyes.

"That's a promise." Dayan kisses me again, and I head for the door. He stands to the side as I slowly leave the unit. At the end of the hallway, I see Adam and another man looking around. I walk in the other direction, just a few steps.

"Hey, limp dick, are you looking for someone?" I shout at them. Adam spins around and smirks.

"I didn't know you were here. I thought it was one of the other bunnies. I've been looking for you for a long time. I owe you for what you did to me." He touches the scar on his neck as I lean against the wall.

"What exactly do I owe you? You tried to rape me when I was seventeen. You're lucky you got away with your life." Adam begins walking toward me while the other man looks between us in confusion.

"I thought you said she was your wife?" The man asks him.

"His wife? Not in a million years. After the people I lived with died, he tried to force me to live with him and attempted to rape me. I gave him that scar when I bit his neck and ran away. I don't know why he thinks I owe him anything." I keep my eyes on Adam while I speak to the other man.

"That's where you're wrong. Iris and Dale let you believe that you could stay with them out of the kindness of their hearts. However, I'm their son, and when they found you in the forest, they thought you would be the perfect future wife for me. When you were seventeen, I went to their house to get my bride, and they said that I needed to wait until you were eighteen. I had waited long enough, so I gave them something to put them in eternal sleep. Now you'll come with me, and after I've punished you for leaving me the first time, we will be married." Adam begins walking toward me, and I glare at him. The other man is looking at Adam in shock.

"I don't believe you. Iris and Dale cared for me; they would have never treated me so well if they were only going to give me to you. You can try and take me if you want, but I guarantee it won't go down like you think." I stay where I am and wait. The other man tries to grab Adam's arm.

"You can't force someone to be with you. She clearly doesn't want you, so why don't you leave her alone?" I take a step toward them.

"She's mine and only mine. I don't care if she believes she's some biker now; Lindy has always belonged to me." When Adam reaches me, I smile.

"That's where you're wrong. I belong to him." I glance behind him at Dayan stepping out of the storage room. Adam turns around.

"Who the fuck are you?" Adam asks. He looks small compared to Dayan. The other man is staying back, but I still don't trust that he won't try something.

"Who I am is of no concern to you. I will tell you this, Lindy is with me, and if you try to touch one hair on her head, I will kill you." Dayan glares at Adam while my heart races. I love seeing this side of him.

"Sorry, get in line. She's coming with me." Adam has the nerve to turn around and try to grab my arm. I spin and kick him in the face, sending him crashing into Dayan, who grabs him around the neck and lifts him up so his feet are dangling. I glance at the other man, who is sneaking up behind Dayan. I run and leap into the air, kicking him in the chest and putting my foot between his legs when he lands on his back.

"If you don't want me to turn your nuts into peanut butter, I suggest you stay where you are," I say, pushing my boot onto him a little harder. I turn to look at Dayan, and he's smiling at me while holding Adam like a fish on a hook.

"What do you think, Lindy? Should we kill them or give them a warning?" Dayan asks. I look between the two men, and I shouldn't give them a second chance, but if they try to come after me again, they will be dead.

"I think a warning will be okay for now. If I see either of you pieces of shit near me or anyone I care about, you will both be dead. It won't be fast. I will cut a piece of you off every day until you're dead. It's in your best interest to forget I even exist. Do I make myself clear?" I look at the man on the ground, and he nods as I push harder with my boot. When I look at Adam, he seems like he's going to argue, but Dayan tightens his hold on his neck.

"Fine," he whispers. Dayan throws him to the ground, and I let the other man up. They both limp out, and I run to Dayan, throwing my arms around him.

"Thank you for not treating me like a damsel in distress," I say, kissing his cheek.

"Honey, you are no damsel, that's for sure. Let's get out of here." I grab the bag of medical supplies from the unit, lock the door, and we head outside. I see Adam leaving with the other man in a car. I doubt this will be the last we see of them, but I meant what I said. Next time, they will be dead.
