Chapter 47 — Can’t Let Her Die
Cassie POV:
“Yes, my dear girl” He came close to me and smirked. “Didn’t you know that?”
“No…” I whispered.
“Oh well that’s bad” He kept a hand on my chin. “Maybe you should help the boyfriend you love rather than someone who doesn’t even share everything with you”
“You can’t make me betray Alex” I looked at him. “I will die but I will never open my mouth!”
“My little girl, why are you so stubborn?” He looked in my eyes. “You know, I love you. And I am willing to spend my whole life with you. But I just need this little favour…”
“No! Matt, why don’t you understand?”
“Fine then. Don’t, but you chose it.” He got away and looked at his men. “Torture her, make a video and send to Alex”
“What!!” I yelled as I was completely stressed. Do what?
“Last chance then?” He looked at me. I can’t tell him anything, but I can try to mislead him.
“Oh okay!” I agreed.
He smiled and a wicked smirk appeared on his lips.
“You will tell me everything about him.” He came to me. Then he ordered his men to go out. The lights were dimmed, and the doors closed, making my heart pound louder and faster than ever. “If you don’t, I am gonna take away the most important thing from you.”
“W-What?” I asked him.
“Your innocence.”
I gasped and kept my mouth shut. I really couldn’t believe him.
“Matt…you have changed so much…” I whispered. He looked at me and for a moment, his eyes softened.
“I told you, I love you, but I need this”
“You’re…you were gonna torture me!” I laughed ironically. “Just for the information, you were gonna use me as bait and torture me!”
“I know it was wrong!” He looked into my eyes. “I know it was. But you, as my girlfriend, should help me too!”
I sighed. “What do you wanna know?”
Then he asked several questions. I answered all of them wrongly and he believed them. I was quite nervous. If he catches my lies, he will definitely kill me without second thoughts.
He says he loves me, but of course he doesn’t. All he cares about is his stupid information.
After he was done, he nodded and switched on the light.
“Thank you, Cassie. I’ll just check the information with my people.”
My face paled. Check? so he didn’t believe me?
“If it is right, which I hope is, then I will free you and you can go and live your life. If you want, I will marry you too” Then his face darkened, “And if it isn’t, you’ll go through hell”
I just looked down, unsure of what would happen. I don’t wanna suffer hell!
He smirked and went out of the room. I just hoped Alex, or his people would save me, otherwise I had no chance now.

Alex POV:
I was at the hospital with Hailey. I know how hurt Robert is, and I feel bad for him. I wish there was something I could do.
As I moved out of the hospital, I received a call.
“Hello?”
“Hello, Mr. Alex”
My face darkened as I heard that voice.
“Matt, is that you?”
“yes. Old memories?”
“Uh…”
“Well, it is not a peace offering. It is something you’d hate me for”
“W-what…?”
“Cassie” he laughed menacingly. “She is with me. Under my control”
“What the—”
“Shh, Alex. Don’t create chaos. We’ll sort this out”
“Sort this out?” I scoffed.
“Yes”
“What do you want?”
“It is simple. What I want is for you to hand over your business to me”
“You know that I am not in the Mafia anymore!” I sighed. “You know what, first of all, let her go. We’ll talk”
“No. She gave me wrong information about you”
“Huh?”
“I asked her, so she gave me some wrong information about you. Probably thinks that I won’t know the truth, but. I have to say. she really does love you. She knows that I will kill her for this”
“K-Kill her? No! Matt. Are you out of your senses?”
“No, I am not, and I am gonna do this.” His voice was serious.
“Matt, I will give you my people.”
“You will?”
“Yes. leave her alone.”
“Okay.” The call ended, and I sighed. Although this can be a mistake, I can’t let anything happen to Cassie.
She had already proven that she is one of the best sisters in the world. And even if she didn’t, I cannot let her die.
I called my people from the Mafia and told them that they have got a new boss. Although everything was fucked up here, I decided to take a flight to Russia and meet her.
