CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Nobody knew what had happened overnight but the headlines the next morning had two different exciting news that put the whole country in an uproar. One was that Anent Entertainment companies, the both of them had gone bankrupt overnight and that the owner, whom everybody had thought was a white sheep and actually didn’t know anything had ruined a lot of lives of his artistes home and abroad, a lot of stories were being told and everywhere became scattered.

And the second news was that two big celebrities, Harley Madison and Patrick Kelvin was caught kissing in an underground park with pictures attached. It made the fans of the duo go crazy and everyone was talking about it; that the rumours that surrounded the duo were true and they would soon get married.

Harley paced the seating room to and fro as she turned to Joanne, “Not is not the time to get the kinds of rumours. I can’t have Zane misunderstanding me as well” Harley said as Joanne chuckled.

“I think he already misunderstood you already though” Joanne said as Harley turned to her.

“What do you mean?” Harley asked and Joanne sighed as she turned her phones towards Harley.

“He attended the gala as well yesterday, didn’t he? Look at these photos; why should he not misunderstand?” Joanne asked as Harley swallowed her saliva as she sighed and fell on the couch.

“And now, the news is filled with the two of you getting married and kissing; who the hell posts these kinds of news?” Joanne asked as she folded her arms and turned to Harley.

“If you ask him; you being pretty unfair to Zane. If you don’t like him, stay away from him. I don’t think it’s that hard” Joanne said as Harley turned to her.

“What did you just say?” Harley asked.

“Stay away from him” Joanne said as Harley chuckled.

“Why are you saying that?” Harley asked as Joanne shrugged.

“You don’t like him, do you? No you don’t so just take this as an opportunity to leave him alone and break all your connections” Joanne said as she stood up and walked out of the room leaving Harley staring into space.

“Kayden still wouldn’t come to school?” Amanda asked as Ryan chuckled.

“He started working on his new album already and has decided not to come to school” Ryan replied as Amanda raised one of his eyebrows.

“Is that so?” Amanda asked and Ryan nodded as Amanda sighed as she chuckled.

“He’s a coward. You tell him that” Amanda said as Ryan laughed.

“Why don’t you tell him yourself?” Ryan asked as Amanda raised her eyebrow at him.

“Kayden is the best at solo albums among the three of us and so whenever he wants to record for solo albums, he can still do his stuffs freely without any restrain unlike the rest of us who have to practice over and over again. So him giving us an excuse that he wasn’t coming to school because he was recording; it was obvious that there was something wrong” Ryan said as he smiled and folded his arms.

“And when it comes to Kayden in recent times; very few things could make him affected like this and at school; nothing at all except Amanda Wilson” Ryan added as Amanda swallowed her saliva.

“I didn’t know you were the younger sister of Zane Wilson; I had seen that sweater on you before so I easily recognized it when I saw the pictures” Ryan said as Amanda chuckled.

“Okay” she said as she turned and walked off. She walked through the walkway and walked towards the rooftop and stared into space while Ryan’s words repeated itself in her ears.

And when it comes to Kayden in recent times; very few things could make him affected like this and at school; nothing at all except Amanda Wilson”

Only she?

Amanda wanted to stop the smile trying to surface on his lips but at the end of the day; she just smiled and sighed. She thought of what to say to Kayden when she saw him and folded her arms when nothing came to her head.

“When I see him, we would settle matters” she murmured as she stared back into space basking in the sun and closing her eyes.

After school, Amanda walked towards where Ryan, Elon and Cameron were standing as she offered them each a smile.

“Where’s Drew? He hasn’t been in school for a while now?” Elon asked and Amanda shrugged.

“Drew disappears occasionally; he should be back in a week or two” Amanda replied as Elon furrowed his brows.

“What do you mean occasionally?” Elon asked as Amanda shrugged.

“Occasionally. He disappears once in a while, how else to explain that?” Amanda asked as Elon shook his head.

“Never mind” Elon replied.

“Let’s go” Ryan said as they walked towards the van that had been parked in front of the school and Amanda got in after the three boys surprising the man and woman seated inside the van as Amanda closed the door.

“Who’s this?” the man asked as Ryan chuckled.

“The reason why Kayden been moody and flipping at you guys” Ryan replied as the man and woman looked at each other in surprise before they both offered a smile at Amanda.

“Niece to meet you, I’m Lance, C. R. E. K main assistant” the man said.

“Alice is my name” the woman said as Amanda nodded her head at both of them.

“Amanda Wilson” Amanda replied as both Lance and Alice fell into a daze.

“Wilson?” Lance asked as Ryan chuckled.

“Don’t freak out; it’s exactly what you are thinking though” Ryan said as Elon chuckled.

“She doesn’t like one even a bit” Elon said as Amanda glanced at the latter and rolled her eyes as she turned to Lance and Alice.

“Don’t mind me” Amanda said as she sighed and looked outside the window.

The van arrived at the house almost an hour later and Amanda sighed as she got down from the car.

“You guys come to school from this place every day?” Amanda asked as Cameron chuckled.

“Not bothersome though; we can catch some sleep in the car and have breakfast in the car too so it’s no problem” Cameron replied as Elon and Ryan nodded.

“Yeah, he’s right” Elon said.

“We were thinking of renting a house near school but Ray wouldn’t just agree” Ryan said as he shook his head.

“Why? And who’s Ray?” Amanda asked as she shook her head.

“Ray is your manager right?” Amanda asked as Ryan nodded.

“Yeah. He said we wouldn’t be monitored and when we are not monitored we cause trouble” Ryan replied as Amanda laughed and nodded.

“I agree with him. You guys are monitored but sometimes you cause trouble too” Amanda said as Alice turned to her.

“Amanda, this way” she said as Amanda smiled at her.

“Sure” she replied quietly as Alice led her through a pyramid of hallways that Amanda was sure she would easily get lost if she tried walking back on her own. Alice’s phone buzzed in her pocket as she grabbed her phone and pressed the phone to her ears.

“Hello” she said into the phone.

“Where are you? Kayden is acting up again” the other person on the phone said as Alice sighed a she glanced at Amanda.

“He’s in the recording room?” she asked.

“Yes” the other person replied.

“Okay, I’m coming right now” she said as she ended the call and turned to Amanda.

“Let’s go” she muttered quietly as she sighed.

“Did you and Kayden have a really big fight?” Alice asked as Amanda adjusted the bag on her back without replying as they arrived at a room where there were people standing outside the room looking frustrated.

“What happened?” Alice asked.

“He chased everyone out” one of them replied.

“He’s really in a bad mood so it’s better if you don’t go in now. He could throw something”

“He has never been in a bad mood like this before, no one has an idea of what’s going on” another one chipped in as Alice swallowed her saliva and turned to Amanda as everyone realized that there was someone else standing beside Alice.

“Alice, who’s this?” one of them asked as Amanda glanced at the horde of assistants as she bowed her head.

“I’m apologizing for Kayden’s behaviour. It won’t happen again” Amanda said as they all stared at her weirdly.

“Who are you?” one of them asked.

“Kayden’s girlfriend” Amanda replied as they stared at her in shock.

“Kayden’s girlfriend?” someone asked.

“That iceberg got a girlfriend?” another one asked and without answering any of their questions, Amanda turned the door knob as she stepped into the recording room.

“Is she really his girlfriend?”

“To think the coldest among them would be the first to get a girlfriend”

“I thought Ryan was going to get first”

“Didn’t you hear get out?” Kayden yelled as he turned and froze.

“Should I get out too?” Amanda asked quietly.
