Noticing that it was Adrian , I instantly stood up and opened up the door . The moment his eyes fall on me , they filled up with tears . Without saying anything , he instantly pulled me into him , holding me close to him evidently showing that he didn't want to lose me . He felt like home and even though I knew it that he shouldn't , l still needed him .

" Please don't leave me ",

ADRIAN'S POV .

Watching Alexa break in front of me it broke me too. " Why the hell is she alone ?, Where the fuck is Mark ?",l wondered as I felt her whimper in the crook of my neck . When I got to her door , l nearly turned to leave . I had thought that Mark would be in the house . I didn't want to cause any trouble for her after what happened but then I heard her screaming.

She was crying out in pain and l couldn't leave. I needed to make sure that she was okay . " Please don't leave me ", her voice broke as she requested me not to leave . Requesting me wasn't necessary because even without it , there was no part of me that would have walked out of the door .

I held her close to my chest as I breathed her in . " Am ain't leaving but come on let me get you to bed , you need to sleep off the drugs , it's the only thing that will make you feel better ", l answered as l ran my fingers through her hair. " I will make you a cup of tea whilst you get ready for bed ", l added but without replying , she looked up at me confused .

Seeing the confusion on her face , It's when I realized that she didn't know that l was there when she was nearly raped . Her green eyes met mine and it took everything in me not to kiss her . I wanted her badly but I knew the condition she was in ." Here , l actually came to give your bag as well , l couldn't leave you after everything ", l murmured after gathering myself together.

" If you don't mind me asking where is Mark ?",l continued and at that her green eyes brimmed with more unshed tears . " He is away on a business but how did you get my bag? ", She responded in a low voice . I took a deep breath not ready to tell her that I was the one who saved her last night but then I had to do it.

" Alexa , l don't know how much you do remember from last night but I was the one who found you ", l stroked her face as I moved the hair out of her face . " I can't talk about this , l don't want to remember anything , l need to face time with my kids ", I cupped her beautiful face in my hands as I listened to her .

Her face was swollen from crying . She shouldn't let the kids see her like that . " I don't think you should face time , they will get worried seeing you like this ", l murmured . She realized it and touch her cheek then let out a shaky breath out.

" You right ", she whispered. " Come in ", She began to walk me from the living room to her bedroom but l didn't enter. It didn't feel right . I Knew it that Mark and her slept in that bed and I didn't want to get near it . With me standing in the doorway , she entered in and started getting ready for the bed . I didn't watch her get undressed . I didn't want to be tempted so l headed downstairs to make her tea .

I found myself looking at the photos that were hanging on the wall as I walked . Her and Mark in wedding gowns . She looked happy back then . I could see it in her eyes . I wonder what happened to her . When did things get messed up between them . The difference in her eyes was to much .

I finished making her tea then carried it upstairs . When I entered she was sitting at the edge of the bed looking so lost in her thoughts . " Am l a bad person Adrian , did this happen to me because of me cheating on Mark ?, Is this my karma ?", She whispered when she saw me walk close to her.

I closed my eyes totally wordless . It wasn't her fault , it was the fucking Mark . " Baby you not a bad person , I know what we did wasn't right , we should have fought it , the truth is the pull between us is so strong but it doesn't make you a bad person and it's not a karma ", l put her cup on her side and dropped down on my knees in front of me .

" Look at me Alexa ", l murmured in a low voice . she slowly turned and looked at me . " You the most beautiful woman I have ever met , what happened to you last night wasn't right but it wasn't your fault none of it was your fault ", She nodded her head while listening to me . I don't think that she had taken anything I have spoken but I did mean it .

" Will you sleep with me tonight please",she asked . I wish I could but I can't . She needed time to think without me being next to her. I knew it that it won't do good with me being near her . " I don't think that's a good idea , l will sleep on the sofa but if you need me you know where am l okay ?", I responded and her bottom lip quivered .
