"You gonna sleep?" Nate asked.

"Nope, I'll just go to see my lil girl" I said.

"You heard what the doctor said?" Nate said.

"Rest? I will Nate but not now" I said.

"Lia is gonna be quite mad" he said.

"It's alright, I can deal with it" I said with a laugh.

"Are you going to take me, or should I walk" I said with a smirk.

"Shut up and get your ass on the wheelchair, you know you can't walk, you still have bruises all around your body" Nate said as I stood up from the bed with the help of Nate and sat as Nate moved the wheelchair outside to the baby's section.

"Where is she?" I asked as we both looked around the rooms.

"Oh, hey Melendez" the same nurse.

"Hey, Where my baby girl?" I asked.

"she's in another place, because she needs to be under our eyes for the whole stay" she said "let's go".

We followed her and she took us to separate room where the only few babies were in.

"here's your baby gurl" she pointed as we went to her "You guys take your time, I'll be here soon when you guys need to leave" she said as we nodded.

"hey baby, looks he's here! Daddy's here and Uncle Nate is here too" I said as Nate laughed.

"Hey beautiful girl" Nate said as she moved her arms.

I touched her hands, and she took hold of my finger.

"Aw Baby" I said kissing her hand.

I took my phone out and took a picture for her hands around my large finger compared to her hand.

She started crying.

"Bro How is she even crying" Nate said as I laughed.

"What should I do?" I said worried.

"Shh baby, be quiet! where's the nurse?!" I said as she rushed in.

"You know Melendez when your baby cries, you take hold of her and try to keep her quiet, just like this" she took the baby from the cart and put her in my hands,.

"What are you doing?" I asked worried.

"Try to make her quiet" she told me "I just need to grab some diapers from the other room, I know you can do it" she went out.

"Shh baby" I said as I moved her.

"don't cry baby, I'm here, shhh" I said as I kissed her.

"Why is this funny?" Nate said laughing.

"Shut up, I can already tell I don't know how to look after a baby" I said.

"You can bro" Nate said as I moved her.

After moments she got silent, and I looked at her to see her asleep.

"she's sleeping" I said.

"she's so cute" Nate said.

The nurse entered "good job on your first task, just put her back in the bed, and you guys can see her in the morning" she said as I nodded and put her carefully in her bed.

"Goodnight baby" I said placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Bye bye, baby girl" Nate said kissing her temple slowly.

We both got out and went back to the room.

Mom and Liam both sat patiently on the couch.

Mom immediately stood when she saw me, she was going to speak but I stopped her "I was with my baby" I said as she nodded.

"How is she doing?" Liam asked.

"I heard her cry for the first time, and then she fell asleep in my arms" I said.

"You should've seen his face, he was so scared when she cried, and the nurse is something else" Nate laughed "she just took her and put her in his hands and got out like it's nothing".

They both laughed.

" not funny, it's my first time" I said.

"You'll get used to it soon" Liam said.

I looked at Lia as everyone stayed silent and everyone kept looking at her.

I stood up and walked slowly to her bed.

I kissed her hands "I miss you baby, please wake up" I said "goodnight a baby, I love you so much" I placed a final kiss on her forehead before laying on my bed.

"Karen you lay on the couch, me and Nate will take the chairs outside" Liam said.

"No Liam, there is 2 couches here as you see! And you both will sleep inside this room" Karen said.

"We just want you to be comfortable" Liam said.

"Oh Liam, at least I'm in the hospital here with them, if I were at home I wouldn't be able to even get a nap" she said.

Liam placed a kiss on Lia's forehead before whispering things to her, then he went and laid on the other couch.

Nate crossed his arms and looked at Liam. "Um, Dad?”

Liam laughed before I spoke "Nate Come sleep here brother, this fits two people".

"Nah bro you rest" Nate said.

"Nate get your ass here" I said as Nate closed the lights and came and laid on the bed.

"If you guys need anything, just wake me up" Nate said before everyone said their good nights and drifted to sleep.

I stared at Lia and watched her pale body lay down, my head was pounding, and my body felt sore but that didn't matter because I'll I wanted now is to be hugged by her.

Tears fell silently before I slept while crying.
