Chapter Fifteen
Serena's Pov
From the museum, we went to a restaurant. Finally! I'm really starving.
We ordered our desire and sat at the table, enjoying the food.
“So far, I've really enjoyed my time with you in Paris,” Adrien informed me, and I blushed.
Months ago, I saw these kinds of words to be far from me, thinking that I would never be appreciated with kind words as Killian made sure to be the worst he could be with me.
“Same here. "It has been really a nice experience in Paris and I don't think I'm ever going to forget it.” I uttered with a grin.
“I know, right? Even their food is so good and wonderful. "We should come back to Paris for a vacation anytime,” he suggested, looking really determined about it.
We had a nice time at the restaurant, and we went back to our hotel rooms.
On getting to mine, I was about to go and take a shower when I began to feel dizzy, and it was so uncontrollable that my toes kicked against some things and, before I knew it, I fell on the bed and that was it.

I found myself in a completely different place. It was a large field with no single person or animal there, except me. The moon was high in the sky, illuminating a bright light on the field of green grass.
“Where am I?” I asked, as if I had someone to give me an answer.
But as if nature really wanted to give me an answer, I saw a figure in a dark cloak from afar, not so far from me. How the figure appeared there all of a sudden, I wasn't aware, but he was giving me the chills.
While I needed someone to answer my questions, I didn't think this was the perfect person to do that.
I took a step backward, wanting to be far from him. He took a step forward too, and as he did, I noticed he seemed to be holding something in his hand.
The figure raised his hand and pointed it at me in one second.
“There is no escape for you,” he said in a husky tone.
“Serena! Serena!” I heard my name and I gasped as I woke up to reality.
But to my shock, I was still at the restaurant with Adrien. I had not gone back to the hotel with Adrien. All along, we were still here.
“What the hell is happening?”
“Are you okay?” Adrien asked me, looking concerned.
“Yes… I am. "I guess I just… blanked out or something.” I replied him, and blinked my eyes twice.
“Were you getting bored with the conversation?” Adrien asked me, still staring at me with so much concern.
I shook my head as I blinked my eyes.
“No. "No. "How could that be possible? "I'm just… tired. "The whole stress of today and we've really had a good time, so my body is feeling a little tired,” I said to him, to make him feel better.
It wouldn't be nice if he actually thought that I was getting bored of him. There was no way he would feel good and all.
“It's fine. I understand. I think we should just head back to the hotel room instead.”
“Yeah we should.”
However, it was still baffling that this really happened. I mean, it looked so real that I really thought all that happened truly happened, but seeing as Adrien was right in front of me, and we were both in the restaurant, I was definitely lost in deep thoughts that looked so vivid, or I was hallucinating and I would rather choose the former.
We both rose to our feet and headed to the hotel rooms, but while on our way there, we saw Eunice, and she smiled at me, then immediately came close to me, which was surprising though.
“I see you're heading to your room. "How about I follow you because we might have a few things we could talk about.” She informed me with a smile and I glanced at Adrien.
He nodded his head, which was more like a go-ahead, and I looked back at Eunice.
“Okay,” I said softly.
Then we headed to our hotel rooms and I walked into mine instead with her.
“You both stay in separate rooms?” She exclaimed in surprise.
“No. Not really. He only goes to the other room when he needs to work that needs his full concentration. So, I truly understand.” I explained to her just before she began to think far and spread rumors.
“Are you certain it's okay? What if he's banging another woman?”
“No, he will definitely not do that. "I know him well enough.” I defended Adrien as I found Eunice’s assumption offensive.
“Alright then. If you say so. By the way, if you don't mind, I'd love both of us to explore Paris. That should be tomorrow after our meeting. "It's going to be fun, I promise,” she said with assurance.
I didn't expect that anyone was going to invite me to explore or go around the city, but now that she was asking me, I couldn't just say no, especially as she was one of the prominent people we were having business meetings with.
If it was my company she needed to give us a nice business time, then so be it.
“What's your say on it so I can prepare?” She asked, with excitement.
“Uhm… I'll give it a try. Tomorrow.” I agreed, ready for whatever fun I might have while exploring Paris with her.
“Yes!” She said in a victorious tone.
Then she rose to her feet.
“So, after our business meeting, we kicked off.” She repeated excitedly and bent to give me a peck, then she winked at me before she left my room.
That was totally cringe and so uncomfortable. Regardless of however she greets people, she should be conscious of if anyone would like it or not before doing it and stuff.
I shook my head and allowed my lips to rumble as I didn't want to bother thinking too much about it. Thinking too much about something that was as cringing as that is just so unhealthy.
