Chapter 45
Ivy tried fighting Samuel when he strapped her down to the table, but he was stronger than she was. Ivy tried biting him, but Samuel was a lot faster than he was and he was able to finish strapping her down before Elder John came downstairs.
“She strapped down?” Elder John asked coming down with a few more people.
“Yeah,” Samuel said moving away from Ivy.
“She awake?” he asked touching her face. “Good I want her to experience every painful moment.” He said checking her eyes. “Stay with us, Ivy.” He said putting the dagger next to her head. “I want Quinn to feel this too; you said he bound himself to her correct?”
“Yeah, that’s what Drake told me,” Samuel said. “You’re going to keep her awake for this?”
“She’s a white dweller, you care for them?” Elder John laughed. “Of course, I want them to know I won and killed the last one of their special kind. I want them to realize they didn’t get her. And that they failed her again.” He smiled. “I know the magic only killed their mind link I just hope it didn’t kill the link of their bond but if it did it will suck.”
“We’ve killed enough of them John; we don’t have to make this one suffer. You could have convinced her to be on our side. She would have listened and been on our side.”
“Would you listen to yourself?” John growled. “Shut up and let me do this.” He said handing him the book. “Find the spell and begin the sooner we get this done, the sooner she can go to the magical circle, and we can start the battle and get Quinn her so I can kill him.” He said rolling his eyes.
Ivy tried not listening, was out of it. “Quinn, Quinn can you hear me?” she mumbled.
“No sweetheart he can't.” Elder John laughed. “You see, she is still trying to get a hold of him, she still thinks he loves her.” He said slicing some of her flesh.
Ivy screamed in pain; Elder John smiled. “Ah yes let me hear the scream, let the whole world hear that scream. I know Quinn can feel it.”
Elder John was tortured for hours before she passed out from the pain. When she came around, she didn’t feel the pain anymore, she felt at peace for some reason. She wasn’t sure if it was because she felt the white dwellers finally were casting magic to find her.
“Ivy, Ivy follows me.” She heard.
“Where?” she spoke.
“What, what are you saying Ivy?” Elder John stopped to listen. “Tell me!” he sliced her a few more times, and she cried out in pain but that didn’t stop him from continuing to do it. Samuel started chanting the spells as John continued to torture her. This lasts for hours.
“What, what where?” she repeated. “Call out!”
“What is she saying?” Samuel asked.
“I don’t know. She isn’t making sense.” He said shaking his head. “Maybe she is falling into the magic finally.” He said continuing to cut into her body. “We’re almost done with the magic and then she will lay here until the magic absorbs the rest of her white magic and then we’ll take her into the field there we’ll wait until Quinn comes. We will ambush him, and he will die.”
“You think he is going to come for the girl. Doesn’t he want the same thing? To take her magic?” Samuel question. “What if this doesn’t work and when he comes for the girl he takes her magic before you take it?”
“Well, he would if he was one of us, but he wants what he cannot have. He wants to find the boy; we will find the boy before he does. Isaiah is on our side too. If not we’ll torture him until death, he’s one to leave clues they are all weak.” He said touching his face. “Don’t worry we are going to gain our prize.”
“Ivy stays strong we’re coming for you; you cannot die otherwise they will steal your magic.” Whispers in her ear. “Please stay strong we’re coming.”
“Come soon. Soon come!” Ivy stuttered.
“Are you alive Ivy, who is coming? Are you seeing someone?” Samuel said touching her head. “I wonder if she is seeing things. Are you sure this is going to work? What if your magic to not strong enough and this doesn’t work?”
Elder John was getting pissed off, he thought about killing Samuel for questioning him again about this. “My magic is going to work; this cut off Quinn didn’t it?”
“What if she is hearing Quinn, what if he is coming?” Samuel said looking towards the stairs. “We don’t need to get caught down here with him there. We are going to get stuck and then what?”
“You’ll die and well I will get away just like always. Don’t worry I will be able to bring you back like always.” Elder John smiled. “Don’t worry you don’t have to worry about Quinn he isn’t as strong as you think.”
“Yeah, but he was able to take Nick.” He stuttered.
“Yeah only because I let him.” Elder John rolled his eyes. “Alright this should be done now, and now we wait.” He said walking away from him. “Stay with the girl, make sure she doesn’t die, and if she does let me know.”
“And where are you going?” Samuel said taking a step towards John.
“I’m hungry.” He said leaving Samuel there.
Samuel walked closer to Ivy; she had her eyes closed but she was still breathing. “Ivy open your eyes so I can see you’re still with me.”
“Why?” she said without opening them. “You want me dead just as he does. Why don’t you go and die yourself then at least I know we’re even. I hope Quinn comes and kills each one of you slowly. You know he is coming soon.”
“Is that who you were talking to?” he quizzed.
“No, I mean I don’t know. It doesn’t matter they stopped talking to me. Now it’s only a matter of time before I die and then I will get to be at peace. You two won't find my son, and if you do you will not be able to get what you want to be done. The white dwellers will ensure he will not be harmed.”
“And what if they want him to be a dweller then what?”
“Isaiah made sure he won’t be one,” Ivy said looking at him. “If you find him I will ensure to come back from the grave and kill you over and over.”
“Ha!” Elder John came back down the stairs. “Where you’re going there isn’t going to be a place you can come back. Your essence isn’t going to exist after we’re done with you. The white dwellers aren’t coming to save you, and Quinn doesn’t have it in him to save you.”
“You are not going to win at this game,” Ivy said barely turning her head. “Don’t worry my death isn’t going to be in vain, you will get your turn.”
“Oh, but who is on the stone table slowly dying Ivy?” Elder John quizzed.
“I am not dying you, moron I am gaining my powers; you just are too stupid to realize you are aiding the white dwellers.” She half smiled as the pain hit her. She cried out in pain.
“That’s it. Feel this pain.” He said pushing the dagger into her wrist. “You see you may think you aren’t feeling my pain, but in the end, you are feeling what I want you to feel.” He growled. “I am going to make you feel every little thing until you die.”
“Yeah, but in the end, I will feel the everlasting rest that you will never feel.” She growled through the pain.
“And that is why I am going to ensure you die slowly.” Elder John taunted. “I am going to ensure you feel this for the next ten days and when you die, I am going to devour your soul so you will not get the rest that you want.” He laughed. “Don’t worry Ivy you will not get anything you’ve dreamt about. Whatever you think you get you won't.” He said slicing her again. “Your magic is almost gone, and when we go outside all the dwellers are going to come and we will kill all of them and when Quinn comes he’ll die too.”
“I’m already halfway there, so the slower you go the less I will feel.” She said closing her eyes. “Quinn is smarter than you think, he’s expecting you, and you will be the one surprised and you will die by someone you least expect.” She said coughing blood.
“Ivy we’re close, keep going the more you push him the more your energy is.” The voice is coming strong.
“They are coming for me, the longer you torture me the longer they have. Go ahead.” She said spitting out the blood. “I am willing to take whatever you want to bring at me.” She said looking at him. She could feel blood coming out of her nose, it didn’t matter anymore. Once they come here Samuel and Elder John would die.
