Nina gasped when she heard what Bella said, that someone had seen her and Victor enter Victor's apartment together. Isn't this dire? She didn't even realize the possibility of someone spying on her. 
"It was the Director who invited me, she said I had to follow her, that's why I-" 
"Is that so? Ok, I understand, Nina! Actually I was just worried for you because you looked shocked after what happened yesterday and there was a guy who seemed to want to take a chance. So, I was really worried!" Isabella smiled. Strange, the smile looks terrible and seems insincere. 
Bella admitted that she was worried for Nina after a few minutes ago, she showed an intimidating suspicious face. She really didn't understand what Bella was thinking about her, she just felt a little worried. 
"Thanks for worrying about me. But, I'm fine!" Nina returned the smile that Bella gave more sincerely, even though she was already feeling an unpleasant atmosphere. 
In the end, Nina got through the day with a nagging feeling that made her uncomfortable. Her colleagues seemed to ignore her, of course apart from Depney and Captain Gavin who were not at all bothered by the bad news about Nina. 
As Nina had expected, news about her being branded as a lover of people kept appearing on television and the internet. What's worse, photos of her at the restaurant with Victor also appeared in the media. This problem was even more serious, almost everyone looked at her cynically. Moreover, the news that appears in the media contains very provocative titles and makes her even more cornered. 
"Called as the third person in a relationship with super model Aiden Supernova, this student was also caught on camera having a date with the CEO of Starlite Group in a luxury restaurant." 
The title is long and very cornering, Nina who just found out that the news about her is very hot in the media, makes hervstart to feel depressed. What's more, she works at Victor's TV station, which is sure to have a bad impact on her. 
Nina sat on a chair in the break room alone with her head down. There were dozens, even dozens of incoming calls from Aiden and several journalists who wanted to ask him for clarifications, which he had to ignore. Nina really wasn't ready for this situation, she didn't know what to do now. 
Within one day, things changed and now, everyone who was consumed by bad news about her started giving bad comments to her, including her friends in college. 
Her eyes started to get wet, even though she had tried hard to hold back her tears. However, what people said about her was cruel. 
"You crazy, cheap woman! How many men has she conned? Women like that only sell their bodies for money and popularity!" Netizen comments on the internet every time news about her appears. 
"Tch, disgusting! Poor Aiden to decide on Samantha just for the sake of a market woman like this. Aiden must have been fooled. It's like you wasting diamonds just for a pile of disgusting filth!" 
"I can only laugh seeing her face on the internet, I'm sure that woman is the ultimate seductress. You can guess how many men she has slept with." 
Nina felt stupid, why would she read the comments of people who would definitely hurt her? But what hurts more, there are many friends on campus who share bad comments by saying things that she has never done, such as seducing a male lecturer so she can get an internship recommendation at Victor's TV station. 
Her tears flowed and dripped on her phone. Nina's hands are shaking, if she keeps reading bad comments about herself, it will definitely only make her life more chaotic. 
"Why are you here? Your work is done?" Asked Gavin who had just entered the break room. 
Nina gasped, she didn't even realize someone was coming because she was too focused on the problem that happened to her. 
"Captain, I'm sorry! Depney and the others were having lunch at the cafe. So, I thought I could rest for a while," she said as she quickly wiped away her tears. 
"You're not eating?" 
"I'm not hungry, so I just want to rest-" she answered with her head down. 
"Oh, I see?" 
"Captain, not having lunch with the others?" She asked, trying to make small talk. 
"No! I brought my own lunch!" He said as he pulled a chair and took a place at the same table as Nina. 
Gavin took out the lunch he had brought, a lunch box containing sandwiches and fruit salad. Gavin went to make his favorite black tea. However, not only for her, Gavin also made tea for Nina and placed it on the table. 
Nina who was flustered when Gavin made tea for her too, was deeply moved by this little thing her captain did for her. Although maybe, actually Gavin didn't have any intention, like trying to comfort Nina who looked sad or something. 
"If you want, you can have one piece!" He said while offering his sandwich. 
Nina could hardly believe that this cold and gloomy looking man could be so kind as well. It felt very strange, because Nina already had bad thoughts about him. 
"Thank you, Captain. Then I'd like one!" She took one piece and immediately devoured it. 
Even though Nina tried to look cheerful as usual, Gavin's reaction didn't change at all. He is calm, cold, ignorant and a little gloomy. Gavin enjoyed his lunch without opening the chat, even though Nina was sure that Gavin already knew about the news about his subordinate in the media. But apparently, Gavin didn't seem to care much. 
"Great sandwiches. Thank you, Captain!" 
"It's so delicious, did the Captain make it?" Asked Nina after the last piece entered her mouth. 
"Yes!" Gavin answered simply. The expression on his face did not change, even though Nina had tried to talk to him. 
After Gavin finished his lunch, Gavin sipped his favorite cup of black tea without sugar. Meanwhile nearby, Nina enjoyed her tea in silence. 
"Did Victor do something to you?" 
"Hah? W-what?" Nina who was surprised because she was suddenly asked, confused to determine the answer. 
Nina looked down, her face flushed. It's not that you don't have an answer. However, the answer she was about to give would surely embarrass her. What happened yesterday was completely unexpected. Victor, who asked to be his girlfriend with a little coercion, made it hard for her to believe him. 
Not to mention the touch he gave, that she had never even imagined before. Nina felt really guilty every time she remembered that, especially for Aiden. 
"Why are you silent? Is that something that shouldn't be said?" Gavin asked after waiting for an answer that never came. Seeing Nina's reaction who looked down as if she wanted to cry, Gavin knew that something had happened to this woman. 
"T-that, I don't know what really happened-" she tried to hold back her tears. The question Gavin gave made the wounds she had hidden come back to the surface. 
"Never mind, you don't need to explain if it's troublesome. I just want you to be careful of that guy!" 
"Careful?" 
"Yes. He's cunning and very ambitious, dealing with him will only get you in trouble. Therefore, avoid dealing with him as much as possible!" 
"B-but aren't you and the Director friends?" 
"Who told you that?" 
"Erm...that, almost everyone says that you  are close friend of the Director, that's why I thought-" 
"I'm not friends with him!" 
"R-really?" 
"Our relationship is a bit complicated. He is my step brother!" 
"What? R-really? So, you and Director-" 
"No need to be so surprised. You better not tell anyone about this, you understand?" 
"Okay, I see! I really don't know-" 
"He's a troublesome person, that's why I'm warning you from now on!" 
"But, I've already dealt with him!" 
"What do you mean? You've slept with him?" 
"N-no! We don't sleep together, it's just-" She hesitated to tell him. But she didn't know who else to turn to for help. 
Gavin seems quite easy to understand someone from the way that person talks to him. Gavin has a lot of experience, he has met many people and guessing someone's heart and way of thinking is not difficult for him. 
"He forced you to do something for him?" He asked while sipping the tea in his cup. 
"Yes, he suddenly asked me to be his girlfriend. That's why I really don't know what to do!" 
"Because you're already dating that model?" 
"Yes!" 
"Reject it if you don't like him!" 
"I want to do that, but it seems impossible for me to refuse. Moreover, he pressured me not to give him a refusal!" 
"Tch,what a pain! He's always been like that in the past!" Gavin looked irritated. From his flat expression which suddenly turned annoyed, it was clear that Victor had troubled him a lot. 
Nina was silent, it seemed that Gavin didn't really like his half-brother. As if he had often solved the problem that man made. If this is the case, she is increasingly worried that if it is true that dealing with Victor means big trouble will be waiting for her out there. 
Gavin got up from his spot and stepped out of the break room. Nina was silent, Gavin just left without telling her what to do. Like he said, dealing with Victor was something to be avoided. At least, the cold-faced man had given him a warning.
