~Ch. 23~ Transformations

Her body collapses in exhaustion and she lay there breathless. He smiles at her and pulls her into his arms. He turns on his side and starts to trade circles on the Palms of her hands.

She smiles at him even more tired than before their bond, but she manages to speak with love, “I promise to love you, no matter what. To stand up for you when others are arguing with you for no reason. To be there when you’ve had a long day and need someone to talk to with no judgment when the stress of the day is weighing on you and you need a friend I will be there.”

He kisses her cheek and nuzzles her nose. His smile is filled with love and pleasure. His eyes show his gratefulness for her words. Without even saying a word, she knows how he feels. They know how each other feels as they stare into each other’s eyes before compassion:

“Ahh!” She screams. Panic overflows him, “What’s wrong?” He grabs her arms and escapes her lips.

Her eyes change from their blue to a light pink. He takes a step back because he recognizes that she’s going through a transformation and he knows they can be painful. Her bones started to break and she jumps in pain.

“It’s going to hurt the first time…” He starts to explain.

He stopped when he started to feel the same pain. He has no idea what’s happening to him or why he’s going through what feels like his first transformation. He feels his bones break and he helps in pain. There’s not much that he can do.

When the shift is finally finished both stand only inches from each other in wolf form, panting and out of breath. The pain slowly subsides and their eyes meet. She takes his breath away. He’s never seen a wolf with flowers on her frontal shield. They match the pink hair that flows through her white hair.

Most wolves have short hair but hers flows down into waves around her short fur. Her ears are white with pink on the edges. Her eyes are a shade lighter than the rest of her.

He’s thrown back as she starts to pace around him. Their mind link is stronger than he’s ever felt before. He can’t figure out why she’s looking at him like this, he’s a normal black wolf. Sure his size is larger, shinier, and more masculine than most, but he’s an alpha king.

Her wolf speaks to him, “If we weren’t mates, I’d be terrified.”

He chuckles humorously, “Why is that?” Her words cause him curiosity.

She starts to describe him, “You’re a black wolf…”

He stops her, “There are hundreds of black wolves!”

She nods but continues, “Do all black wolves from your pack have highlights of fire?”

Her words take him back, “fire?”

She can see he has no idea, “Did me biting you turn you into a medium wolf/witch hybrid?”

He takes a few steps back. Whispering his thoughts out loud, “Is that why you have flowers on your frontal shield and you’re pink and white with long fur?”

Her wolf nods, “I’m a hybrid, that’s common sense! The question is, are you?”

He thinks back to what happened when she was transforming, “I did go through and unexplained second transformation!”

Their eyes meet and the moon Goddesses voice comes from above, “You two have broken the curse. You will become Alpha and Luna of wolves, witches, mediums, and humans alike!”

Sterlings mind is racing, “How? It’s unheard of!”

The voice gets louder, “Do you dare to question the moon Goddess?”

Olivia’s wolf boss, “No, my Goddess!”

The voice continues, “It won’t be easy but you will succeed if you stick together!”

“Where do we start?” Sterling asks but the voice is gone.

“Do you smell that?” Olivia’s wolf asks.

Otis sniffs the air, “Water?”

Olivia’s wolf nods and starts to run towards the scent. “Where are you going?” The wolf mind links him, “We can see our reflections in the water!”

Optic howls with approval, “My mate is brilliant and beautiful!”

They get to the water. They stop inches away. Glancing at each other. Both are curious but nervous to see the results of their bond. Otis inches closer so that their fur is touching.

They both make their ways to the edge of the water and look down. Gasping at the sight of themselves. Both in awe and horror.

“We needs to transform!” Otis howls.

“Why?” Olivia’s wolf asks.

He rolls his eyes, feeling as if it is common knowledge, “If we are seen in these forms before it is the right time, we will be hunted down!”

The wolf is argumentative, “I am Freud, the queen of love and battle. I will not hide!”

Otis lets out a happy howl, “Freya, I like it!”

Freya nuzzles him. He nuzzles her back but continues to try and persuade her, “We need to use our wolves as and element of surprise!”

Freya wants to argue with his logic but can’t, “Fine!”

They transform back into their human forms. Both are drawn to each other. His hands run through her hair. Hers are drawn to him as well.

“Your black hair!” He holds out the now long strands of blonde and pink hair.

She pats her head and then snaps her head back to him, “Me? You!”

His hand rushes to his chest, “Me?”

She nods, “Your black hair is red!”

He rushes next to her and looks down at the water. Sure enough he has red hair and freckles. The only thing that hasn’t changed is his muscular body and his green eyes.

Both laugh? “We’re unrecognizable!” They say at the same time.

Olivia wraps her arms around him, “I’m so happy that I found you!”

He hugs her back, “I’m happy to…” He pauses at the sound of her sobs.

He cuffs his two fingers on her chin and lifts her eyes to meet his gaze. Both of their breaths are taken away. She giggles in between happy sobs.

He can't help but to smile, “I’m happy to have you!” He kisses her and they close their eyes.

“Trespassers!” An unfamiliar voice screams and they are surrounded by spears.
