Chapter 24 having leverage on them

Chapter 24 having leverage on them
Madelyn’s P.O.V.

“It’s already close to half-yearly, Madelyn. Are you sure that you want to change the class?” Ms. Stone asked me worriedly.
“I am sure, Ms. Stone. I want to concentrate on my studies instead of watching my back all the time.” I replied to him calmly and slowly stood up from the chair.
“You are an intelligent student, Madelyn. Losing you is my loss, but I understand your mindset. You are right. They have crossed the line so many times, but you never complain about that. They should be grateful to you for this, but.” She trailed off with a sigh.
I didn’t remark on this but smiled tightly.
“Go and get your stuff. Your transfer will be done in half an hour. Mr. Wilson will meet you shortly.” She instructed me while looking back at the screen of her laptop.
“Thanks, Ms. Stone.” I thanked her with a light bow and walked out of the teacher’s office.
Ms. Stone helped me a lot during my time in school. So, I respected her the most.
But I am here to complete my schooling with flying colors, not to be bullied every day.
I silently walked towards my previous class. I had to get my stuff from there.
The only regret that I would have about leaving this class is Stella.
We had become good friends in the past few months, and I really didn’t want to leave her, but I talked about this to her on Saturday morning over breakfast.
She came to my home the same night and spent time with me.
I told her about my decision to change the class. She was reluctant, but she also understood that staying in the same class as them was not good for me.
I smiled at her when she looked at me as soon as I entered the class.
I glanced in Galvin’s direction, who was also present in the class with Easton and Fred.
He was glaring hard at me, but I just scoffed aloud, ignoring him, and walked to Stella.
“Are you really going?” she asked me in a low voice.
I pursed my lips while nodding in agreement. I sat down and started putting everything in my bag.
She wasn’t happy, but she didn’t say a word to persuade me.
“Let me help you.” She mumbled and started packing my things with me.
I didn’t stop her.
“Hey, why are you packing your things, Maddie?” Dana, the girl sitting behind us, asked me curiously.
“I have applied for the transfer of my homeroom class. Ms. Stone approved it. Now, I am going to Mr. Wilson’s class.” I told her nonchalantly, finishing packing at the same time.
“What? Why did you do this? You know that the reputation of that class is the worst in our school. You have always been on top. How can you go to that class?” Dana objected, her voice loud enough to be heard by the whole class.
“What?” I heard a few more gasps around me, but it didn’t matter to me anymore.
“Yes, their reputation is bad, and they are all known for their notorious ways, but none of them are bullies. This is more than enough for me to feel safe there.” I replied to Dana in the same nonchalant way and closed my bag.
Stella also finished gathering the rest of the stuff.
I glanced in Galvin’s direction and smirked when I saw how gloomy his face was.
I, then, looked at Dana, who was still shock.
I smiled faintly, and slowly Stella and I stood up.
“Wait.” I was about to move when Galvin yelled aloud.
At the same time, Oscar also entered the class with three other boys from their circle.
“Do you really think that leaving the class will save you?” Galvin screamed at me while storming towards me with Easton and Fred.
I snorted and took a step away from the desk, waiting for Galvin to stop in front of me.
“What’s going on here?” Oscar asked them in an authoritative but cold voice.
“She changed her class, thinking that it will save her from us,” Galvin replied to him angrily, glaring hard at me with so much hatred in his eyes that I felt he was going to kill me at any time.
Oscar stopped right in front of me, his eyes cold, but they were blazing in fury.
“Before you guys think to do something to me, let me tell you one more thing,” I said to them coldly, standing my ground without showing any fear.
“I know what Easton can do, but there is always someone better than you, smarter than you, and, of course, who possesses more skills than you,” I spoke calmly, giving them a knowing look.
The anger on their faces vanished immediately.
I glanced at Oscar, who now had the coldest expression that I had ever seen on his face.
“You erased the footage from everywhere, but guess what?” I left the sentence there, gave them a knowing and mocking smile, and stepped away from them so that I could go out of the class.
“You are bluffing.” It was Easton, yelling anxiously.
I didn’t stop in my tracks, though.
“The total timeline that you erased was 23 minutes 45 seconds in the first clip, 45 seconds in the second, and 39 seconds in the third. If you insist, I can tell you the timings of other clips too.” I replied to him nonchalantly, my voice loud enough to be heard by the whole class.
"If you don't want the whole world to know how great bullies you guys are, stay away from me." That was a threat, and they knew it.
“What the fk? Explain this, Easton.” I heard Galvin yelling behind me, anxious and angry at the same time.
“What was that?” Stella asked me in whispers, bringing her mouth near to my ear, sounding both curious and excited.
“This is what I said, Stella. Someone sent me all the erased footage.” I told her in whispers, thinking about the surprise that I received yesterday morning.
I didn’t know who sent me those footages as he left no clue to find his trace, but I was grateful to him.
Now I had the best leverage on Oscar and the other boys.
“But you shouldn’t have announced this openly. What if they try to get both your phone and laptop?” she remarked anxiously.
“Then what’s the use of the cloud, then, huh?” I asked her teasingly, and her eyes widened in shock.
I smiled mysteriously and continued walking towards class F, which was one floor down from our class.
“Hey, you are in class F now, right?” Stella suddenly asked me, and I nodded in response.
“Wow! I didn’t consider you this devoted fangirl.” She remarked, and I looked at her confusion, knitting my brows lightly.
“Maximus Blackwood is also in that class. Don’t tell me that you don’t know about that.” She explained, giving me a knowing look, but my eyes widened in shock.
“What? Are you serious?” I exclaimed excitedly, jumping in front of her in excitement, startling her in the process.
