Chapter 63 Please!
Chapter 63 Please!
I had prayed and wished it wouldn’t be Mr Mattias.
But as I opened the door, what greeted me was the familiar sent of his cologne. I gasped, moving out quickly as I shut the door behind me so that my mother wouldn’t see him.
Although I could see her peaking and trying to see who it was. That was enough sign that I couldn’t spend more than a minute here before she walks in on us.
“You need to leave right now?” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Obviously, I didn’t want my mother to hear me.
“Shimma, why are you doing this to me? I hy are you pushing me away?” He said, taking some steps closer to me.
“Look, What I am doing is for our own good, I need you to understand, Just leave. Please!”
“No!” He shook his head, taking one step back. I’m not leaving. Not until you tell me what I did wrong,” He said, I could see his eyes slowly turn red. God, was be about to…..No! My head is fucking with me right now.
“You can’t push me away just for nothing. I already told you, I didn’t abandon you, I would never! Your father made it difficult for me to find you. But I never stopped looking for you. That day at the restaurant. I believe it was fate, I don’t believe in those shit but I find myself saying it,” He giggled, one that felt bitter as he shook his head.
Looking back down at me I could see tears prick at the corner of his blue eyes. He was fucking crying and the sight of it made me want to cry too.
“You know what’s funny?” He asked rethorically.
“I tried…. I tried so hard not to love you, because I knew it would get to this, I knew that if I let myself love someone like you, I was going to be gone.” At this point, I couldn’t control the tears that streamed down my cheek.
I watched him get on his knees, The Mr Mattias i once knew who would barely talk to me, The Mr Mattias I once knew who wouldn’t even look my way was kneeling right in front of me.
I could I deny his love at this point, what more evidence of his love would I have asked for.
He wrapped his arm around my waist, his head placed on my chest and for the first time ever. I fell in love.
It’s funny how I thought I knew what love was a few months back him him. I didn’t , because right now, it’s clear.
Love isn’t about the fairy tale moment, it isn’t about the joyful moment, it isn’t about laughter or sex……
Love is——it’s the tears we share, the honesty that cuts deeper than any lie.
It’s the comfort of knowing that even in our worst moments, we choose each other again and again.
It’s the struggle to understand, to forgive, and to grow.
Love is the reminder that we are not perfect, that we are beautifully flawed, and yet, in our imperfections, we create something extraordinary.
It’s the courage and step we take, knowing that what we share is worth the risk.
In that moment, as he knelt down before me, I realized that love is not just a feeling—it’s the choice to stand by each other, to believe in the possibility of us, even when the world tries to pull us apart.
“Please don’t push me away Shimma, you’re my life now, I mean it, loosing you is like loosing my whole world, please don’t let my whole world crumble, please,” he whispered, his hand wrapping around me thighter.
Just before I could respond, The door swung open and my eyes landed on my mother. Her expression…..
