Chapter 79: Let Me Kiss
Harriet looked at him in disbelief. "You want to keep me locked up?"
"If that's how you want to see it, sure." Tristan took her phone from her pocket. "Harriet, I've never told you this, but what I want, I'll get at any cost."
Harriet had no chance to resist before she was trapped in the master bedroom.
Cloud Bay was guarded by bodyguards inside and out. Not only outside the bedroom door, but even on the balcony connected to the master bedroom, there were guards. Not even a fly could get near Harriet.
Her phone was taken away, cutting off all contact with the outside world.
Rhea sensed something was wrong and had just taken out her phone to make a call when Tristan's cold, gloomy voice came from behind her. "Who are you trying to tip off?"
Rhea jumped in fright, her phone dropping to the floor. She turned to see Tristan coming down the stairs and said in a panic, "Mr. Lancaster, I wasn't—"
Tristan didn't call her out. He walked over and sat on the sofa, saying calmly, "I know you're on Harriet's side, but don't forget who pays your salary, and don't forget what happens when you make me angry. You don't just have yourself to think about—you have a husband and children. Before you do anything, you should think about your family."
Rhea dropped to her knees in fear. "Please don't be angry, Mr. Lancaster! I just couldn't bear to see you and Mrs. Harriet Lancaster fighting like this. I wanted to call Mrs. Haven Lancaster. I didn't mean to go against you!"
"I'll handle this myself. I don't need Grandma getting involved. If Grandma calls to ask, just tell her Harriet and I are doing fine. Got it?"
"Got it."
"Go on with your work." Tristan instructed, "Make more of the dishes Harriet likes to keep her nutrition up."
"Yes, Mr. Lancaster."
At seven in the evening, Tristan opened the door and came in.
Harriet, who had been sitting on the sofa reading, immediately turned her face away.
Tristan walked over. "Time to eat."
"I'm not hungry," Harriet replied coldly.
"You can be angry, but don't mess with your health."
Tristan scooped her up and carried her downstairs.
It wasn't that Harriet didn't want to resist—she just didn't have the strength after being worn out so badly last night.
Rhea had prepared a table full of delicious food, all Harriet's favorites.
Harriet was already hungry, and to build up her strength to fight Tristan, she forced herself to eat more.
Tristan gently served her food, looking like the most caring and considerate husband.
After dinner, Harriet was carried back to the master bedroom and placed on the sofa.
Harriet looked up at him. "Are you really planning to keep me locked up here?"
"Not for too long." Tristan promised seriously. "We're still young. Having a baby won't be that hard."
Harriet pressed her lips together slightly. "Tristan, you should know very well that as long as I don't want to have a baby, even if I get pregnant, I have ways to make sure it's not born."
Tristan crouched down in front of her, their eyes level. "You won't. You won't have the heart to hurt your own child."
Harriet's nose stung, feeling both helpless and wronged.
So Tristan was counting on her love for children, which was why he was using this method to keep her.
Once pregnant, for the child's sake, she would give him a chance no matter what.
She had heard about Tristan's ruthless methods in business, but she never expected him to be this obsessed.
"Tristan, you've really lost it."
Tristan smiled, reached out and held her, burying his handsome face in her chest.
He didn't say a word, just held her tighter and tighter.
At night, as soon as Harriet lay down, Tristan pulled her close.
Harriet knew what he wanted, her legs trembling uncontrollably. "I'm tired."
Tristan leaned over and kissed her. "Mrs. Lancaster, don't you want your freedom sooner?"
Harriet dodged his kiss. "We didn't use protection last night, and I didn't take the pill either. Maybe I'm already pregnant."
She had wanted to secretly take the pill, but discovered the birth control pills in the drawer had disappeared at some point.
Tristan smiled. "You have that much confidence in me? You think I can get you pregnant in one night?"
Harriet's face flushed. "Yes. Let's sleep."
"Okay, let me kiss you for a bit first."
Harriet didn't expect him to stoop to being shameless.
He said he'd just kiss her for a bit, but soon her clothes disappeared and were thrown on the floor.
He didn't force her, but like yesterday, he tormented her, making her give in and beg for it herself.
Tears streaming down her face from the torment, Harriet knew she couldn't escape. With a reckless attitude, she just got straight to the point.
In the midst of everything spinning, Harriet suddenly remembered something and pushed him hard. "There are people outside!"
"So what?" Tristan was breathing heavily. "We're a married couple, not having an affair. We're not afraid of people listening."
"Tristan!" Harriet wasn't that shameless. "No! I can't accept this!"
Only then did Tristan lean close to her ear to comfort her. "Don't worry, they've already left. You can cry out all you want, no one will hear."
Embarrassed and angry, Harriet bit down hard on his shoulder.
He winced in pain but wasn't annoyed. Instead, he looked at Harriet beneath him with interest. "Were you born in the year of the dog?"
Harriet glared at him angrily. "Hurry up!"
Tristan smiled. "What wife wants her husband to be quick in bed?"
Harriet couldn't be bothered with him and turned her face away, just wanting him to finish quickly.
But Tristan wouldn't let her off easy. He took his time, insisting they reach the peak together before he'd stop.
It wasn't until after midnight that everything finally settled down.
Tristan carried Harriet to the bathroom to wash up. When they returned to bed, both were exhausted and fell asleep almost immediately.
In the darkness, Harriet slowly opened her eyes.
Carefully, she removed Tristan's arm from around her. Afraid of making noise, she didn't even put on slippers and tiptoed to open the door and leave.
As Tristan had said, there were no bodyguards standing watch outside the door.
Harriet was delighted and hurried toward the stairs, but before she could go down, she heard a voice. "Mrs. Lancaster, where are you going?"
Harriet stopped and turned to see two bodyguards sitting in the lounge area.
Harriet cleared her throat. "I'm hungry. Going downstairs to find something to eat."
"Mr. Lancaster said you don't need to do such small things yourself, Mrs. Lancaster. Just call and have Rhea do it." The bodyguard stepped forward and said respectfully, "Mrs. Lancaster, Mr. Lancaster said there's no need to stand guard outside the master bedroom at night, but there will be more people around the villa. If you want to leave Cloud Bay, you'd better discuss it with Mr. Lancaster, otherwise you won't be able to get out."
Harriet felt helpless and could only say, "I understand."
With things as they were, there was no point in forcing it. She could only return to the master bedroom.
In the blink of an eye, Harriet had been at Cloud Bay for a week.
Tristan had taken her phone, and she could only pass the time reading books each day.
Tristan showed no signs of being sick at all. His stamina was incredible, and every night he'd make love to her. He'd read some random fact somewhere, and after each time, he'd put a pillow under her lower back, saying it helped with getting pregnant.
Harriet was worn out by him every day, her body covered in love marks. Even just looking at them in the shower was shocking.
These past few days happened to be her ovulation period. If this continued, pregnancy was just a matter of time.
