Chapter 105 You Are Ruthless
Tristan bit down on Harriet's lips with no gentleness at all, not stopping until she couldn't breathe and pounded hard on his shoulders.
But the next second, Tristan's kisses landed on her neck.
Tristan pulled open her sweater and left one hickey after another on her body, like a punishment.
Harriet felt her whole body go numb and sore. She tried to push away the person on top of her, but couldn't budge him at all.
The man's heavy breathing filled her ears, amplified endlessly in the quiet room, tugging at her soul.
Someone suddenly knocked on the door.
Tristan snapped back to his senses, resting against her neck and panting. After catching his breath, he finally spoke, "What is it?"
Ryder's voice came from outside the door, "Mr. Lancaster, the doctor is here."
Tristan sat up, straightened Harriet's clothes, and went to open the door.
Ryder had brought a female doctor, who came forward to examine Harriet before reporting, "Mr. Lancaster, Mrs. Lancaster doesn't seem to have an ordinary fever. I don't dare prescribe medication on my own. It would be best to go to the hospital for a blood test first."
Tristan frowned slightly, "If I needed to send her to the hospital, why would I call you here?"
The doctor quickly nodded, "Please calm down, Mr. Lancaster."
"Mr. Lancaster." A bodyguard knocked and entered to report, "Mr. Jones is here."
"Show him in."
Ian hurried over with his medicine kit. After just one glance at Tristan, he immediately went to check Harriet.
"Mr. Jones, how is Mrs. Lancaster?" Ryder asked. "The doctor said she doesn't have an ordinary fever."
"The doctor was right." Ian said, "Harriet was drugged. She's already taken the antidote, but there are still residual effects. Plus her body hasn't fully recovered, so she can't handle these drugs, which is why she has a fever."
"Then I'll run some water and let Mrs. Lancaster take a cold bath."
"No." Ian said, "Harriet has a cold constitution and can't take cold baths. Even in summer, she can't bathe in cold water. She needs to avoid cold things normally. I'll give her an injection and use physical cooling methods. Once her fever breaks, she'll be fine."
"Yes."
By the time Ian finished the injection, Tristan was no longer in the room.
He left the female doctor to physically cool down Harriet and got up and walked out.
Tristan was sitting on the sofa smoking.
Ian walked up to him, "You're ruthless enough. You really dared to shoot?"
"She complained to you that quickly?" Tristan smiled faintly. "Does she think that because you're Harriet's elder, you can make decisions for her?"
"You misunderstood what happened tonight. Mr. Johnson called me and said he saw Harriet about to faint at the elevator entrance, and she looked a bit off, so he told me to come quickly. I also asked him to look after her first."
"He says something and you just believe it?"
"I know what you're thinking, but in this matter, I trust him." Ian said, "Given Harriet's condition at the time, she had no ability to resist. If he had bad intentions, he could have just taken her away directly. You wouldn't have been able to save her in time."
Tristan didn't say anything.
"I heard you're getting married." Ian continued, "I know Harriet's temperament well. She won't be a third party interfering in someone else's marriage, so please stay away from her."
"Is that so?" Tristan smiled. "Then do you know that tonight, she was the one who kissed me first."
"That was just the drug's effect." Ian said, "I'll need to use your place tonight. I'll stay to take care of her. Mr. Lancaster, please do as you wish."
Tristan stubbed out his cigarette and got up and left directly.
In the room downstairs, everything was in disarray.
The aromatherapy on the nightstand was still burning. Both of them were already drenched in sweat, but the desire in their bodies hadn't been relieved at all—instead, it had grown even stronger.
After who knows how long, everything finally ended.
Owen got off Lark, rolled over to lie beside her, casually grabbed the wine bottle from the nightstand, and poured it straight into his mouth.
Whether it was the aromatherapy's effect or Lark being too seductive, his stamina had clearly increased today, and his mouth was already parched.
Lark had the same reaction.
Seeing the person beside her drinking something, she quickly snatched it over and poured it into her own mouth.
Owen turned to look at her and smiled, "How was it? Feel better now?"
Lark's face was flushed, the haze in her eyes not yet faded.
She threw the wine bottle on the floor and directly straddled Owen.
Owen smirked, "Little vixen, still not satisfied?"
Lark couldn't wait to get straight to the point, crying out even more uninhibitedly than before.
Owen enjoyed her initiative. After quite a while, he belatedly remembered something, "Your legs... they can move?"
Lark didn't answer, but grabbed his hand and kissed it.
Owen couldn't handle this stimulation. He cursed and quickly flipped over to pin her down, going at it relentlessly...
Early the next morning, when Harriet woke up, she saw Rhea sitting in a chair by the bed, dozing off.
"Rhea?"
Harriet called out to her.
Rhea quickly woke up, "Mrs. Lancaster, you're awake? How do you feel now?"
"Much better." Harriet propped herself up to sit. "Where is this?"
"Opulence Club. This is Mr. Lancaster's private room."
Harriet was startled, "How did I end up here?"
"Mrs. Lancaster doesn't remember anything?" Rhea said, "Actually I don't know either. Ryder called and said you were here and asked me to come take care of you. When I arrived, Mr. Jones was here too. He didn't leave until your fever broke in the middle of the night."
"Mr. Jones came too?" Harriet's head was fuzzy. She only remembered going to the terrace for some air and running into Nolan.
After that, she seemed to have seen Tristan. She seemed to have... even kissed him.
Harriet couldn't even tell if it was real or a dream.
"Mrs. Lancaster, I brought you a change of clothes and a towel. You've been sweating, so you'll feel better after a shower. I'll go buy you breakfast."
"Okay."
Harriet went into the bathroom to shower. When she took off her clothes, she saw the dense hickeys all over her body and was stunned.
Last night wasn't a dream. The Tristan she saw was real.
She even had bite marks on her body.
No wonder she felt sore.
Harriet took a quick shower, put on her clothes and came out, then called Ian.
Ian told her directly what had happened last night.
"Tristan shot at Mr. Johnson?" Harriet was shocked. "How could this happen!"
"Mr. Lancaster's possessiveness is almost pathological." Ian said, "But don't worry, it's just a superficial wound. He's fine."
Harriet had no idea so many things had happened last night, to the point of gunfire.
Rhea bought breakfast back, and the two sat down to eat together.
Rhea suddenly spoke up, "Mrs. Lancaster, have you seen Mr. Lancaster's watch? He said he left it here last night."
"I'll look for it." Harriet searched around and actually found it on the bed.
"Mrs. Lancaster, I have something to do later. Could you help deliver it to Cloud Bay for Mr. Lancaster?"
"How can I do that?" Harriet quickly refused. "I also have things to do."
She had no idea how to face Tristan right now.
"Mr. Jones said you should rest well for two days and don't need to go to work." Rhea said, "Mr. Lancaster also left his things behind because he was taking care of you last night. You should return them to him."
Harriet looked resistant, "Then I'll get a courier to deliver it to him."
"How can that work? It's such a valuable item. What if it gets lost? That would be trouble." Rhea objected, "Besides, Mr. Lancaster hates strangers touching his things. If you really use a courier, Mr. Lancaster would definitely throw it straight in the trash."
Harriet could only agree, "Alright then..."
Harriet reluctantly came to Cloud Bay. She originally wanted to just use her fingerprint to go in, but remembering they had already registered their divorce and this was no longer her home, she rang the doorbell.
She waited for quite a while, but no one came to open the door.
Just as Harriet was about to leave, the door finally opened, revealing Tristan's flawlessly handsome face.
