Chapter 104 Directly Kiss Him
Top floor VIP room.
Xavier knocked and came in, seeing Tristan drinking alone.
"Tristan, why are you here by yourself?"
Tristan said impatiently, "What do you want?"
"Isn't tonight the bachelor party? I came to have some fun. It's pretty lively downstairs. Aren't you going?"
"Not interested."
Xavier sat down beside him and poured himself a drink. "This is supposed to be you and Lark's event, but neither of you are there. Lark's gone somewhere too... Oh right, I heard Harriet came earlier to wish you and Lark well."
Tristan's face suddenly turned cold. "What did you say?"
Xavier took a sip. "Harriet came to your bachelor party to wish you both well. Lots of people saw and heard it."
As he finished speaking, Xavier suddenly felt his heart tighten.
He turned to see Tristan's face looking particularly grim.
Xavier was about to speak when the door was knocked. Ryder walked in and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Lancaster, there's something I'd like to report to you, it's about Mrs. Lancaster..."
"Her business has nothing to do with me." Tristan coldly cut him off.
"Exactly." Xavier chimed in. "Someone so ungrateful doesn't deserve to be mentioned. From now on, you don't need to report anything about her to Tristan."
"Yes."
Ryder was about to turn and leave when Tristan's low, cold voice suddenly came from behind. "Is it urgent?"
"Yes." Ryder reported. "Five minutes ago, Nolan ran into Mrs. Lancaster at the elevator downstairs, then Nolan carried Mrs. Lancaster into his room."
Tristan's eyes turned ice cold.
The next second, the glass in Tristan's hand shattered, blood dripping from his palm.
"Tristan!"
Xavier was about to look for a first aid kit when he saw Tristan get up and stride out.
In the room.
Harriet lay on the bed, barely conscious.
In her daze, she only felt like there was a fire burning on her body, but the next second, she felt like she was in an ice cellar.
The torture of extreme heat and cold made her suffer terribly.
"It hurts..." Harriet trembled all over, her voice breaking with tears sliding down from the corners of her eyes. "Grandpa, Grandma, save me, I feel so awful... Tristan... Tristan..."
Nolan, who was wiping her face with a towel, paused. "You love him that much?"
Harriet on the bed seemed unable to hear him and didn't respond.
Nolan continued wiping her face. "Harriet, it'll be okay. I'll stay with you..."
Harriet's lips moved slightly as she murmured softly, "Tristan, there's something I've never told you..."
"Harriet, what is it?"
Nolan leaned closer, trying to hear what she was saying.
The next second, a loud crash suddenly rang in his ears.
Nolan jumped and looked up sharply to see the door forced open and Tristan striding in.
He wore a black suit, like a devil from hell, his whole body radiating a terrifying murderous aura.
From Tristan's angle, what he saw was Nolan leaning down to kiss Harriet.
The man's eyes darkened. The next second, he pulled out a gun and aimed it at Nolan.
A gunshot rang out, especially sharp in the quiet hallway.
"Mr. Lancaster!" Ryder rushed forward to grab Tristan's hand. "Please calm down!"
Emberfall had strict gun control. Although Tristan always carried a gun, that didn't mean he could kill someone so openly.
Especially not Nolan.
After pressing down the gun, Ryder looked nervously at Nolan.
Nolan slowly turned his head to look at his left shoulder.
Pain came from his shoulder, but fortunately the bullet had only grazed it and wasn't embedded in the flesh.
Nolan turned to look at Tristan, a smile on his lips. "What's this about, Mr. Lancaster?"
"What do you think?" Tristan's voice was like something from hell, chilling to the bone. "Next time, it won't be just a scratch. I promise I'll hit your heart and you won't even have a chance to leave any last words."
Nolan stood up. "You don't actually think I did something to Harriet, do you? I'm not as dirty-minded as you."
Tristan slowly put away his gun, walked to the bed, pulled back the covers, picked up the unconscious girl, and left.
Ryder immediately followed. "Mr. Lancaster, your injury hasn't healed yet. Why don't I carry her?"
Tristan didn't speak, but Ryder already knew the answer.
Tristan's room had a separate bedroom. He placed Harriet on the bed and touched her forehead.
Burning hot.
Tristan closed his eyes and ordered in a low voice, "Get a doctor."
"Yes."
Tristan went to the bathroom to get a towel and placed it on Harriet's forehead.
"It hurts..." Harriet murmured groggily. "It hurts so much..."
Tristan said coldly, "Get out when you wake up. I don't have time to waste here with you!"
Harriet struggled to open her eyes. In her daze, she thought she saw Tristan, and tears flowed uncontrollably.
Tristan frowned slightly. "Harriet, who are you putting on this pitiful act for?"
He got up to leave, but the next second, his hand was suddenly gripped tightly by her.
She had a fever, and even her palm was warm.
Tristan's fingers trembled as he looked at her coldly. "Harriet, what are you trying to do? Let go."
Harriet held his hand tightly and wouldn't let go.
"I told you to let go." Tristan pried her hand off, but the next second, Harriet grabbed him again.
Before Tristan could react, Harriet suddenly pulled him forward hard.
Caught off guard, Tristan fell right on top of her.
His face darkened. "Harriet, what are you doing?"
Harriet lifted her head and kissed his lips directly.
Tristan's whole body stiffened.
Her breath was burning hot, and the heat from her lips seemed to transfer to him, raising his body temperature instantly.
Tristan's Adam's apple bobbed as he grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away. "Harriet, look clearly. I'm not Nolan."
Harriet was delirious with fever. She only vaguely heard Nolan's name and unconsciously repeated it. "Nolan... Nolan..."
Tristan felt as if his heart was being tightly gripped by a cold iron hand, and instantly a sharp pain spread through every nerve in his body.
Along with it came a burning rage.
He regretted not shooting that bullet into Nolan's chest!
Tristan grabbed her chin. "Harriet, you love him that much?"
Harriet felt the pain, her vision focused, and seeing Tristan's face again, her tears flowed even harder. "Tristan, I'm sorry..."
Tristan thought she was apologizing for admitting it, his face darkened.
He looked at that beautiful face before him, remembering the intimate scene between her and Nolan just now, his eyes shooting out a chilling coldness. "You want a child, don't you? I'll give you one!"
With that, Tristan leaned down and kissed her lips hard.
