Chapter 215 She Looks Very Similar
"Scarlett, you're here too!" Octavia's eyes were full of mockery when she saw Scarlett.
"This isn't your house. Why can't I be here?" Scarlett didn't give her any courtesy at all.
Octavia didn't care, and instead smiled, "Caspian, are you two dating?"
"Stop talking nonsense. We're just friends." Caspian scolded her coldly.
Octavia smiled, "Okay, if you say you're friends, then you're friends."
Then she turned to Scarlett, "About what happened last time, have you thought it over?"
Scarlett knew exactly what she was talking about, and just smiled faintly, "I already gave you my answer back then. You still haven't given up?"
Octavia sneered, "Fine, since you've made your decision, I won't say more. I just hope you won't regret it."
"Have a pleasant evening, you two." With that, Octavia turned and left.
Scarlett watched her go without any expression, picked up her phone from the table, and sent a video to a number. After sending it, she put down her phone.
"She's been spoiled by her parents since childhood, so that's just how she talks. Don't take it personally." Caspian looked at her carefully.
Scarlett held her cup and sipped her coffee, smiling, "What would I take personally?"
What she hadn't expected was that Caspian had this connection with the Mitchell family. Although he was a bit different from the other Mitchells, he was still part of the Mitchell family. She needed to keep her distance.
Caspian noticed Scarlett's change but said nothing, quietly finishing dinner.
Not long after Scarlett sent the video, she got a reply: [Where did you get this video?]
She picked up her phone and replied: [Don't worry about where I got it. If even a bit of information about my daughter leaks out, this video will appear on all the major websites. How do you think netizens will treat you then? And it might affect your dad's career too.]
After sending the message, she relaxed and talked with Caspian.
When the food arrived, they barely spoke during the meal, but Caspian didn't mind and remained calm.
"Ms. Mellon, I really enjoyed having dinner with you tonight. I know you're concerned about my relationship with the Mitchell family, but you didn't show it, which shows you're a really good person."
Scarlett looked at Caspian and smiled slightly, "This was a thank-you dinner, but I have a question I can't figure out. Can you help me with it, Mr. Anderson?"
Caspian smiled slightly, "You want to ask why I helped you when I'm so closely related to the Mitchell family, right?"
Caspian's heart was as clear and pure as his eyes, he could see right through her question.
She nodded.
"Setting aside the fact that I'm not that close to the Mitchell family, even if I were, I couldn't just watch Ulysses kidnap a woman in broad daylight. As for helping you, besides that reason, there's another, you remind me a lot of a friend of mine."
Scarlett looked thoughtful, "This friend of yours is a woman?"
"Yes, a very nice, very sweet girl. But she disappeared."
Scarlett frowned, "You don't think I'm that girl, do you?"
Caspian looked at her steadily, "I do have that feeling, because I haven't seen her in over ten years. I don't even know what she looks like now."
"Scarlett!" A sweet, childlike voice called out behind them.
Scarlett turned around and saw Hayden's small figure, dressed in trendy overalls, looking absolutely adorable. Standing next to him was Ambrose, looking at her expressionlessly.
When Scarlett saw them, she was a bit surprised, but quickly realized, thinking of Octavia who had just appeared, that they were having dinner with the Mitchell family.
"Scarlett, you're eating here!" Hayden rushed over when he saw Scarlett, his eyes lighting up.
He ran forward and snuggled up to her side with a big smile. Scarlett looked down at Hayden and asked him gently.
"Yes, are you here for dinner too?"
Hayden nodded and leaned against her, complaining helplessly, "Dad said I had to go eat at my mom's place today. I didn't want to go, but he brought me anyway."
Scarlett looked up at Ambrose, standing not far away, her eyes questioning. Ambrose caught Scarlett's look and walked over to explain.
"I came along with him."
Then he said to Hayden, "If you really don't want to, I'll have someone take you back."
When Hayden heard this, he didn't want that at all. He climbed onto a nearby chair using his hands and feet, "No way, I want to eat with Scarlett."
Having said that, he sat up straight, his big eyes rolling around the table, then he leaned close to Scarlett's ear and whispered.
"I want to eat that shrimp, can I?"
Hearing Hayden's humble tone, Scarlett's heart melted, and she agreed.
"Of course you can."
She opened the table drawer, took out a knife, fork, and small plate, handed them to Hayden, and at the same time, put a shrimp on his plate.
Hayden started eating as if he were at home.
