Chapter 210 Driving Away the Rival in Love
The first thing Finnian did when he returned to Silverlight City was to visit Scarlett at Lakeside Garden.
Scarlett didn't know he was back. When he appeared at her door, she smiled and welcomed him in.
The little ones were curious about the sudden visitor and gathered around Scarlett, blinking their big eyes as they looked Finnian over.
Finnian looked at the children on either side of Scarlett, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Scarlett, your daughter looks just like you, like an angel." Finnian's eyes were full of affection.
This was Finnian's first time meeting Yara. Looking at the mini version of Scarlett, his cool expression softened.
Yara, who was praised, smiled at Finnian happily and friendly. Her smile was milky and sweet, very cute.
"You're very handsome too!" Yara's words were sweet, praising Finnian like a little adult.
Finnian had seen children before, but he'd never met one so sweet-talking and clever. Plus, Yara spoke like an adult. He muttered in disbelief.
"Scarlett, how did you raise such an adorable child?"
Scarlett smiled. Yara was her greatest achievement. Over these years, thankfully, Yara had been by her side, helping her get through those difficult times.
Hayden, standing nearby, saw that Finnian only praised Yara and ignored him, so he moved closer to Scarlett until he was right next to her.
This action caught Finnian's attention. He looked at Hayden, surprised.
"You had twins?"
Scarlett turned to look at Hayden and put her arm around his small shoulders. "He's Yara's classmate."
"Do kids these days all look this similar? I thought they were twins." Finnian joked.
Actually, sometimes Scarlett would see Yara's features in Hayden's face too.
What a wonderful connection.
Besides visiting Scarlett, Finnian had come for something important, so after chatting about the children, the two went to the study.
In the study, Finnian pulled out a USB drive and placed it on the desk.
"This has videos of Octavia doing bad things at Celestial University, and also videos of Ulysses's messy private life. I think you could use them now."
Scarlett perked up immediately. "Octavia doing bad things at school? Videos of her bullying classmates?"
Finnian nodded. "That girl ended up dropping out."
Scarlett guessed it was Yvaine. She didn't expect Finnian to find this for her. The timing couldn't be better.
"I ran into Yvaine just two days ago. When she heard Octavia's name, she had a strong reaction. It seems Octavia hurt her badly, and she still hasn't recovered." She sighed.
"Finnian, how did you get these videos?" She asked.
"I saw it happen at the time. Because I knew Octavia had it out for you, I secretly recorded it. Later, when she didn't do anything bad to you, I didn't use it. This time, when I went home, I happened to find it." Finnian leaned back in his chair, his expression calm.
Scarlett never imagined that back then, Finnian had been protecting her from the shadows. She was truly touched and didn't know how to repay this favor.
"As for Ulysses's videos, I hacked into clubs to get them, but it's limited to clubs, hotels, and places like that. Nothing more than that."
Finnian had done everything he could in his area of expertise to help her. She said.
"Finnian, thank you!"
Finnian smiled. "Scarlett, saying that between us is too formal. Even if I didn't like you, I still couldn't stand what Ulysses did. Don't feel pressured. Just do what you need to do."
Finnian had always been cool, the type who didn't like being thanked for doing good things. That's why, even though he liked her, he'd kept it hidden until now.
The two stayed in the study, talking for quite a while.
In the living room, the two little ones were playing. Hayden kept looking up at the closed study door. Half an hour had passed, and no one had come out.
He then ran to his room, pressed his watch, and called Ambrose.
Ambrose was busy at the time. Ryder answered the phone, and knowing it was Hayden, immediately handed the phone to Ambrose, who was in a meeting.
Ambrose took it, put the phone to his ear, and heard Hayden's sweet childlike voice.
"A really handsome man just came to see Scarlett. They've been in the study for a long time and haven't come out."
Ambrose guessed it was Finnian. He was silent for a few seconds, then asked calmly, "Did you tell him who you are?"
"Why would I introduce myself to him?" Hayden responded dismissively.
Ambrose: "If you don't introduce yourself, how will he know who you are?"
Hayden was smart and understood most of what Ambrose said, so he quickly got it. He hung up the phone and rushed out again, this time heading straight for the study.
He knocked first, and after getting Scarlett's permission, pushed the door open and walked in. Seeing the two sitting across from each other, he felt relieved and quickly went to Scarlett.
"Hayden, what's wrong?" Scarlett took his hand and asked.
"This hurts a little." Hayden pointed to his injured face.
Hearing this, Scarlett placed her hand on it and gently rubbed it for him. "Is it here?"
"Yes."
Scarlett naturally picked him up and held him in her arms, rubbing him gently. Hayden nestled quietly in her arms, enjoying it very much.
Finnian, sitting across from them, remarked, "This child is really close to you."
Hayden looked at Finnian smugly. Just then, Yara came running after him, calling, "Hayden!"
"I'm here," he answered.
