Chapter 164 The Truth, The Twins She Gave Birth to Are His
When Ambrose arrived at the Evergreen Club, Scarlett was already sitting in Briar's private room. The moment he stepped through the door, he saw her torn clothes, and a flash of violence crossed his eyes.
He walked up to her, suppressing his anger, staring at her intently. Scarlett had just calmed her emotions, but seeing him, she avoided his gaze, not knowing how to face him.
She had thrown a tantrum and told him not to follow her, and then immediately got into trouble, making him come clean up the mess. It was pretty awkward.
"Are you hurt?" Ambrose's voice was low, surprisingly without any blame.
Scarlett looked at him with her big watery eyes, bit her lip, and shook her head.
The atmosphere was a bit tense. Ambrose let out a light scoff, with both mockery and helplessness.
Briar, standing nearby, quickly broke the tension.
"Luckily, we got there in time. Scarlett wasn't hurt at all. She even stabbed some of them with a bottle."
Seeing she was fine, Ambrose's anxious heart settled down. He reached out to brush the hair from her cheek, saying nothing.
Normally, if he made such an intimate gesture in front of others, Scarlett would definitely protest, but knowing she was in the wrong, she quietly let him do it.
Their relationship was now clear as day.
Everyone in the private room could see it clearly. Finnian, sitting beside her, stared darkly at Ambrose's actions. Ambrose's gaze swept over him.
Their eyes met in the air, instantly sparking like lightning. Without words, they both knew what the other's look meant.
While brushing Scarlett's hair, Ambrose was asserting his claim to Finnian. Finnian sneered dismissively and looked away.
Briar felt the oppressive atmosphere and was about to get up and leave when Ambrose stood up first.
"I'll take you home later." He dropped this line and turned to leave the room.
After leaving the private room, Ambrose walked toward the room where the incident happened. The entire room was surrounded by his people, with Chase and Evergreen Club staff standing at the door.
The Evergreen Club manager immediately came forward to apologize when he saw Ambrose appear.
"Mr. Boleyn, we're truly sorry. We had no idea something like this would happen."
"Your place provides a venue for drug use. You can shut down now." Ambrose's voice was flat, but the words carried a deadly threat.
The Evergreen Club manager trembled. "Mr. Boleyn, we didn't know they were doing this stuff here."
Ambrose ignored him and stepped into the room. It was a complete mess, with several men lying on the floor. Having taken drugs, they looked confused, but were still moaning in pain, having been beaten badly.
Chase followed beside him. "We questioned them all. These people regularly use drugs here. The guy who grabbed Ms. Mellon said he ran into her by accident, but the surveillance shows he was lying in wait for Ms. Mellon."
Chase's words implied this was premeditated.
The person behind this plan was obvious—the Mitchell family.
Ambrose glanced at Beau. Beau seemed quite alert, looking at Ambrose. Chase added, "He won't say anything when we ask him."
Ambrose strode over, walked up to Beau, and crouched down. "Who told you to touch her?"
Beau shook his head fearfully. "I just bumped into someone by accident and wanted to teach her a lesson, but I didn't do anything."
Violence flared in Ambrose's eyes. He grabbed Beau's hand and applied force, his movements swift and quick as lightning.
"Tell me everything, and you can keep your other hand." Ambrose's voice came out word by word through clenched teeth.
Beau broke out in a cold sweat from the pain. "It was Mr. Mitchell who told me to wait for her."
Getting his answer, Ambrose nodded with satisfaction, but the next second, there was another snap.
Beau's other hand was also broken. He screamed at the top of his lungs, each cry louder than the last, but the sound couldn't escape the room. The entire private room sounded like a ghost wailing.
Ambrose stood up as if nothing had happened, took a towel from Chase, wiped his hands, and said coldly, "Send all these people to Ruben, then deal with them. I don't want to see them again."
Chase nodded. "What about the Mitchell family?"
"If Ulysses wants to make a move, we'll return the favor. He's been raising funds recently, right? Let's give him a big gift!" The ruthlessness of Ambrose couldn't be hidden.
Chase nodded and followed Ambrose to the door, then heard Ambrose ask.
"When will the DNA test results be ready?"
"At the fastest speed, they'll be ready tomorrow morning," Chase replied.
Ambrose nodded. "From now on, assign bodyguards to follow Scarlett. The Mitchell family will definitely make another move."
When Ambrose returned to Scarlett's private room, Finnian was gone. He walked up to her and took her hand.
"Let's go home."
Scarlett stood up, and as she did, the torn state of her dress was revealed. Fortunately, she had a vest draped over her shoulders, covering most of her exposed skin.
Ambrose's face quickly darkened, but then, thinking that with this dress ruined, she wouldn't be able to wear it anymore, his expression improved slightly.
Scarlett quietly followed him to the car. He drove away from the Evergreen Club toward Lakeside Garden.
Throughout the journey, Scarlett barely spoke. Ambrose worried she was frightened, so he stayed at Lakeside Garden.
After Scarlett came out of her shower and saw he was still there, she finally spoke. "I'm fine. You should go home and rest."
"You're telling me to leave at a time like this?" Ambrose said unhappily.
Scarlett let him do as he pleased. She was tired, turned around, got into bed, and lay down. He took another shower, and when he came out, she was already asleep. Without saying anything, he got into bed and held her as he fell asleep.
The next day, when Scarlett woke up, it was already ten in the morning. After a good sleep, she was back to her energetic self.
In the years since Owen's incident, she had seen all kinds of situations. Last night's events wouldn't leave her traumatized.
Not seeing Ambrose around, she didn't pay much attention. After washing up and changing into casual home clothes, she left her room. Passing by the study, she heard voices coming from inside.
He didn't leave?
She stopped, raised her hand, and knocked on the door. The voices inside immediately stopped, then the door opened. It was Ambrose.
In Ambrose's narrow eyes, there was joy and surprise. He looked at her for a moment before saying, "You're awake. There's breakfast on the table. Go eat first."
Scarlett didn't say anything, just nodded. Before leaving, she looked at Chase and nodded at him as a greeting, then walked away.
After she left, Ambrose closed the door again, walked back, picked up the identification report on the desk, and stared excitedly and joyfully at that sentence.
There was a 99% chance of a blood parent-child relationship.
The twins Scarlett gave birth to were his children. The person he was with that night was her.
They were each other's one and only.
No wonder Hayden liked Scarlett and Yara liked Ambrose, it was blood relation.
At this moment, Ambrose felt his blood rushing through his body, so excited he wanted to announce it to the world.
"Mr. Boleyn, it seems the Mitchell family orchestrated what happened back then. Indigo probably participated too," Chase said.
"Mr. Mellon was brought down by Indigo. I just didn't expect he wouldn't even spare Scarlett, and even calculated me into his scheme," Ambrose said.
