Chapter 10 Someone To Save Her
Diana had thought that Brandon would send someone else, so she was startled when she saw him standing there, cold and aloof.
She hoped Victoria wouldn't say anything...
But the fact that Brandon had come in person showed how much he valued her, didn't it?
Diana looked aggrieved and didn't give Victoria a chance to speak. "She said I only use her second-hand things. Yes, my family was poor before and we couldn't afford good food or clothes, so I borrowed her things. I should have returned them, but how could she say that about you?"
Brandon's eyes gleamed.
Ignoring Diana, he smirked at Victoria. "First Miss Griffin seems to enjoy looking down on others."
Victoria was about to retort, but she saw a flash of coldness in his eyes and he interrupted her. "Elijah, from now on, Miss Evans' clothes and food will come from Huan Yu."
"Yes, sir."
"And throw away all the second-hand items."
"Yes, sir."
Brandon walked forward, making not only Victoria, but also Heidi, who was standing beside her, feel a little scared.
"As for you..."
Victoria looked at his sharply defined, handsome face and couldn't help but swallow nervously.
"Starting today, Victoria's name has been added to the blacklist by Huan Yu, and any company that has any association with her will be considered as going against Huan Yu," Brandon said to Elijah, who had previously told him that Victoria had just graduated and was looking for a job.
Victoria's heart sank, and her face turned pale instantly. What did he mean? She had just received an interview invitation from a company that had looked at her resume, but with his words, it seemed like she would have a hard time in High City, no, in Hua Country.
"Brandon, how can you be so domineering!" Victoria couldn't help but exclaim.
"It was obviously Diana," Heidi added.
But Victoria quickly stopped Heidi. She didn't want her friend to be implicated by her. The Miller Family was in the media business, and although their family background was good, for Brandon, crushing her was as easy as crushing an ant.
"Oh? Is that considered domineering?" Brandon's tone was light, but his voice was even colder. "Everyone else can leave, but as for her, I don't think anyone will dare take her out without my orders."
Heidi looked anxiously at Victoria, but Victoria bit her lip and quickly signaled to Heidi.
Heidi thought to herself that she needed to get out first before figuring out a plan. Being locked up was of no use to them. She could only hate Diana, who was so pleased with herself. Diana's tail was wagging so hard that it was almost in the air, but Heidi could only grit her teeth in anger.
Soon, everyone was released.
Diana looked at Brandon with a grateful expression. "President Duncan, I didn't want to trouble you, but Victoria knew that you helped me and insisted that I leave. She even made me lie and say that she was your legitimate wife and that I had taken her place. She even broke my bracelet..."
She lifted her hand and took out the broken bracelet.
Brandon frowned.
"It's just a bracelet. I'll have Elijah buy you a new one later." Brandon didn't want to deal with these trivial matters.
Diana cried as she looked at him. "Thank you, President Duncan. Your villa is so big, and I'm actually quite scared living alone."
Her eyes shimmered with an inviting look as she looked at Brandon.
However, Elijah couldn't help but roll his eyes in his mind.
Was she trying to seduce their master?
Well, she was wasting her effort. Their master was not averse to women, but he simply couldn't understand these things!
Diana moved closer to Brandon, but his gaze fell on her messy hair and smudged makeup. He leaned back impatiently and checked his wristwatch. "Elijah, take Miss Evans back and send more people to the other villa."
What?
Diana wanted to say something more, but Brandon had already walked out without even looking at her.
Elijah sneered at Diana and followed his master out. Once outside, Elijah asked, "Sir, did you leave Miss Griffin at the police station?"
"Of course. Do you sympathize with her?" Brandon's voice was cold, sending shivers down Elijah's spine.
"No, no, of course not."
"She sold herself for thirty million and still had the nerve to mock others. Forget about her."
Elijah hesitated to speak. He felt that Victoria hadn't done anything wrong, and she didn't even get the thirty million. On the other hand, Diana had been spending money like crazy since arriving at the villa.
Although these things were nothing to Brandon, he still couldn't quite believe what Diana had said. He looked back at the police station, knowing that his decision was final and there was nothing anyone could do. He could only hope that Miss Griffin would be able to take care of herself.
Victoria stayed at the police station, and Heidi was naturally very worried. She mentioned it to her family, and although Master and Madam Miller had thought highly of Victoria, they refused to help her when they heard that she had offended Brandon. No one dared to cross Brandon.
Heidi felt helpless and wished she could go to Brandon's house to plead with him to spare Victoria, but she knew that, given her status, she would never be able to see him.
Meanwhile, Brandon returned home to find that Old Madam Duncan had come to visit.
"Why haven't I seen your wife?" Old Madam Duncan asked strangely as she looked around the house.
Elijah didn't dare to speak, and Brandon's expression darkened. "Grandmother, she's not my wife."
"How is that not the case?" Old Madam Duncan said. "You have the marriage certificate, in the eyes of the law, she is your legitimate wife. Since she entered the door, I haven't even seen her. I wanted to meet her, but she was nowhere to be found."
"Marriage certificate?
Grandmother, how could you just give me a marriage certificate like that?" Brandon had forgotten about this in the midst of everything else that had happened since he woke up. Now he realized that he was legally bound to this woman as husband and wife, and anger boiled within him.
"Well, I heard that she's a good girl and also pitiful. Originally, I had my eye on another girl from the Griffin Family. They could have sent their own daughter over, but they sent her instead because she's not their biological daughter."
"You haven't even met her, how do you know she's a good girl? Don't you know what she did to me behind my back?" Brandon's face, already pale, turned even paler as he thought of what this woman had done to him.
"What did she do to you?" Old Madam Duncan was curious, as she had never seen her grandson with such an expression on his face before.
"Grandmother, please don't ask. All I know is that I've already kicked her out." Brandon's lips tightened.
"What? I saw her room was still there..." Elijah didn't finish his sentence as a cold and stern gaze swept over him.
Elijah quickly lowered his head. Why did the old lady bring this up?
After the old lady left, Brandon looked at Elijah with anger. "After being in a coma for a year, do you also think I'm easy to fool?"
"I'm sorry, sir. I'll have someone clean up the room immediately." Elijah was sweating profusely.
Brandon snorted and left. Elijah quickly called someone to clean up the room, but the staff suddenly called him over. "Assistant Hayes, look, there's a pile of papers here. They look like design drafts. Can we throw them away?" Elijah picked up the papers and, despite his initial annoyance, his expression suddenly brightened when he saw the complex data on them.
These were architectural design drawings!
He never expected that Miss Griffin, who looked so young, could draw such complex designs!
