Chapter 54 Acknowledged
Victoria was at a loss for words, but she loosened her grip on his hand as she looked at his stern face. "I'm showing you what kind of person your crush, Diana, really is," she said candidly, looking fearlessly up at him. Brandon's handsome face was dark and his sharp gaze was oppressive as he looked at Victoria. Crush?
"So you're admitting that you deliberately plotted against Diana?" he asked.
"Yes," Victoria replied. "Last time I told you that she was the one who introduced me to Dylan. I don't know how she plotted against me, but I know it's definitely related to her. I'm not a saint, so I had to retaliate. I'm sure you would do the same if you were in my shoes."
Brandon's expression was inscrutable.
Victoria continued, "So I used her own methods against her. Besides, I'm just showing you what kind of person she really is. She's a hypocritical and vain woman. If you're angry with me because of her, then I have nothing to say." She raised her small face proudly, looking as if she was ready to die.
Brandon silently stared at her face, and couldn't help but sneer inwardly. Was she implying that if he really liked Diana and spoke up for her, it meant he had poor judgment?
Suddenly, Brandon stepped forward and grabbed her chin.
Victoria winced in pain and furrowed her brows slightly.
"She's not the reason for you to use me as a tool," Brandon said coldly. "No matter what kind of person she is."
Victoria's heart sank. She had forgotten that this man was vengeful and hated being manipulated by others.
Due to the pain, her eyes swelled up with a few drops of water, resembling a clear spring, reflecting Diana's face. After a moment, he released her chin. "This won't happen again." Victoria breathed a sigh of relief. At least this tyrant wasn't completely useless. If he were the type to lose his mind over beauty, without any sense of right or wrong, that would be irredeemable. "But next time, don't use such a foolish method to deal with someone. You'll hurt yourself more than your enemy and still have to continue drawing the picture." Victoria looked at the drawing in her hand and sighed, "I don't want to do it this way either, but I'm powerless and have no influence. All I have is myself." Brandon snorted and ordered someone to send Victoria back. He admitted that he was angry with Diana, and the drawing was one reason. It wasn't because he was angry that the drawing was damaged, but because that woman had no respect for the design, nor for others' creations. She was extremely foolish, and he hated foolish people. Inside, Duncan sighed and asked Elijah, "Can you ask carefully how many months it takes to check the DNA of the baby in the womb?" "I asked before, at least four months." It wasn't too long. Brandon took a deep breath and stopped thinking about it. Victoria returned to the villa and remembered that she still had to take her miscarriage prevention medicine.
It's been too chaotic lately, and I don't know if the child will be affected. Anyway, as long as he can eat, growing up well is the most important thing.
She found the medicine and took it, only to see Brandon walking in.
"Fernando will probably still bother you these days, so be honest," he said.
Victoria's courage was great to dare to plot against Fernando.
Victoria was stunned and quickly nodded her head, but Brandon noticed that she seemed to be holding a medicine bottle.
"What are you eating?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowed as he walked into the room.
"Nothing, really," Victoria hurriedly put the medicine bottle behind her back.
But he had already walked in with a cold face. "I saw it, that's medicine. What are you eating?"
Victoria's face changed as she looked at him, cursing inside, "What kind of eyes does this man have? And why does he want to control everything?"
"Do you have feelings for me, Brandon?" She raised her head boldly, and Brandon eyes narrowed. "What thick skin you have, Victoria. What makes you think I would be interested in you?" He looked her up and down without any reservation.
Victoria cursed him again in her heart. Why is this man so rude?
"You're not interested in me, so why are you always paying attention to me? Maybe you're interested in me without even realizing it," Victoria said, successfully diverting his attention. She was used to being shameless in his eyes.
"Heh...Victoria, I think it's you who's interested in me. Otherwise, why would you have such thoughts?" Brandon replied.
"Hahaha, I must be suicidal to be interested in you," Victoria pointed at him and burst into laughter.
But Brandon face suddenly turned cold, and the temperature dropped. Victoria stopped laughing and swallowed nervously as she looked at the man in front of her.
What did she mean?
"My meaning is not that. I mean, I know you're not interested in me, and we could divorce at any time. How could I be interested in you? You're unattainable, not someone I can match," Victoria explained.
Brandon had gotten to know her personality during their time together and knew she wasn't that honest.
He slowly approached her, and she backed away inch by inch, feeling anxious about what he was going to do. She backed up until she had nowhere else to go. The room was small, and a large desk occupied most of the space, covered in her messy drawings. She leaned against the wall, feeling helpless.
But then the man suddenly leaned down, and the fresh woody scent mixed with his unique masculine scent wafted over her. He looked at her with deep eyes, as if there was endless temptation in them. His thin lips moved slightly, and she couldn't help but think they would be perfect for kissing...
But then, something happened… Suddenly, he made a move and snatched the medicine bottle from her hand.
"Ah..."
Victoria was left empty-handed and watched as he looked at the bottle. Her heart pounded in her chest.
"Brandon, you...you give it back to me. You're trying to trick me!"
