Chapter 53 Calculating Diana
"I heard she's living with Heidi now, basically homeless, so she's probably here for a free meal," someone said.
"That's so sad," another person replied.
Diana heard this and couldn't help but sneer. It was no surprise that Brandon had kicked Victoria out after what happened last time.
Just then, Victoria walked in with Heidi, and everyone fell silent.
Victoria didn't seem to notice their strange looks and greeted them calmly, "Long time no see, class leader."
The class leader was also from a wealthy family and had always enjoyed organizing these gatherings, so they were quite familiar with each other.
"Victoria, you're here. You look like you've lost weight," the class leader said.
Diana snorted and looked at Victoria. "Victoria, you don't look too good. Is life not treating you well? I heard you're still living with the Miller family. It's not good to rely on others all the time. Do you not even have enough money to rent a place? I can lend you some money if you need it."
Victoria wasn't angered by Diana's sarcastic words and simply replied, "Thank you, but I don't need it."
There were always people who liked to kick others when they were down, and hearing Diana's words, someone else chimed in, "I heard you still haven't found a job since graduating. Why don't you come work at our company? Although we don't need someone with a degree in architecture, we do need salespeople. Or you could work as a salesgirl somewhere. At least it would help you make ends meet."
"Oh, it's not really appropriate for a Griffin family heiress to work as a salesgirl," another person added.
"What Griffin family heiress? Isn't Erica the Griffin family heiress? Victoria's just a fake. What's she doing here pretending to be a rich girl?" someone else said.
Victoria just kept her head down and didn't say anything. Meanwhile, Heidi looked angry and said, "We're all old classmates, why do you have to be like this?"
Victoria grabbed Heidi, "Forget it, everyone knows anyway." Heidi, with an angry face, turned and walked away.
"Hey..." Victoria called out, but didn't follow her. Instead, she looked at everyone, "As you all know, my situation is not good right now. If there are any job openings or if anyone has a house that hasn't been rented out yet, I would really appreciate it."
Diana sneered at her. It seemed that Victoria was really desperate now.
She felt a sense of satisfaction that she had finally brought Victoria down. Brandon didn't want her anymore, and soon he would be all hers.
Victoria sat down, "These are some of the drawings I've done recently. You can take a look. I'm still good at architectural design." Someone glanced at them and said, "Our family doesn't do this, and even if we were hiring, we would only consider people with graduate degrees or those who have studied abroad. Victoria, someone like you, well, you won't find a place anywhere."
Victoria sighed, "Is it really like that... then forget it. You guys eat, I'm going to see Heidi."
She walked away disappointedly, and Diana hesitated before following her.
Victoria turned around and looked at Diana at the door.
"Why did you follow me? You saw that I have nothing left now. You should be happy, shouldn't you?"
"Diana arrogantly said, 'Victoria, you brought this upon yourself today. Do you even have the right to compete with me? Look at you now, so pitiful. Why don't you just become my servant? My family needs a shoe polisher, and the salary is three to four thousand a month. Isn't that better than being a dog in the Miller Family?'
'You...' Victoria pointed to the paper in her hand. 'I am an architect, and I will find a job.'
Diana couldn't stand her arrogant attitude and stepped forward, grabbing the paper and throwing it on the ground. She then stepped on it with her foot. 'It's just a pile of useless drawings. What's the point?' she sneered.
Victoria was furious and quickly crouched down. 'Let go of me! This is my design. You can look down on me, but you can't look down on my design.'
Seeing her helpless look on the ground, Diana laughed. 'Hey, Victoria, are you starting to learn how to polish shoes now? It looks like you really want to apply to be my shoe polisher at my villa. Well, go ahead and polish them well.' She then tore up the designs with her foot.
'You're going too far, Diana!' Victoria exclaimed.
On the side of the road, several luxury cars were parked, and a few people hurriedly walked towards them, ready to open the door for Brandon to go to the restaurant. However, they saw Brandon's gaze looking over at the other side, his face darkening.
'These are just some of your self-righteous designs. You think they're great, but to others, they're just useless paper. To be honest, these things of yours are just good for polishing my shoes. Your paper is even too hard for that,' Diana squatted down slightly, pulled Victoria's hair fiercely, and spat, 'These shoes cost me seventy to eighty thousand. That's enough for you to earn in a year, isn't it?'
Victoria cried out in pain, but at that moment, she heard Brandon's voice from behind. 'Diana.'"
She turned around and saw the tall man walking towards her from behind, and her scalp immediately tingled. How could Brandon be here?
Victoria was delighted. Finally, Brandon had arrived. She thought she had miscalculated the time.
With a cold glint in her eyes, she glanced at Diana before looking up at Brandon, angrily saying, "She ruined my design. I just finished drawing it today, and you ruined it once, and now she ruined it again..." Brandon looked down at the mess on the ground, his eyes filled with anger as he looked at the trembling Diana.
At this moment, Diana was really scared.
"Brandon, I... I was wrong..."
But before Diana could explain anything, Brandon coldly raised his eyes and said, "Alright, I heard what you just said. Now get out of here, I don't want to see you."
Diana was suddenly plunged into an icy abyss, lowering her head. It was only when she saw the smug look in Victoria's eyes that she realized she had been tricked!
Victoria had intentionally guided the class leader to choose this restaurant, knowing that Brandon's schedule was recorded. She brought Brandon along with her important design drawings to show him, just to watch Diana tear them up.
Brandon looked down at Victoria, his eyes deep and pulled her up. "What are you up to?"
Victoria paused, looking at the coldness in his eyes. She already understood that he was smart enough to figure out that she was plotting against Diana.
