Chapter 126 Rebuilding Ancestral Home
The old lady hesitated for a moment before quickly saying, "Please come in."
"Grandmother," Rebecca's voice came in as she walked in with Madam Larson, Diana, all smiling. However, when she saw Victoria standing to the side, Rebecca's expression turned slightly unpleasant. But when she saw the old lady's face, she smiled again.
"Grandmother, I haven't been back for several years. Have you forgotten me?" Rebecca said.
"How could I forget you?" The old lady smiled, looking at the much more mature Rebecca. She had watched her grow up and naturally liked her. In the blink of an eye, she had grown so big. "Ah, there's a strong smell of medicine in this room. Let's go outside and talk." The old lady invited everyone to leave.
She then remembered Victoria was still here and said, "You come out too."
Rebecca turned around and made a proud face at Victoria, then affectionately took the old lady's arm and walked out.
Lisa had already come over to join in the fun. "Rebecca's back. Oh, this little look, she's getting more and more beautiful."
"Hello, Aunt," Rebecca greeted Brandon's stepmother, but she wasn't as enthusiastic.
However, Lisa wasn't angry at all because she saw Victoria being left out behind them and felt satisfied.
"Victoria, you have your day too," she thought.
She gave her a sarcastic look and said with a smile, "Well, Rebecca is the filial one. She rushed over as soon as she heard that grandma was sick."
Madam Larson chimed in, "Yes, Rebecca didn't even go to work when she heard about her grandmother. She had to come and see her. By the way, Rebecca has now joined Universe Corporation."
"Really? Then Brandon should take good care of her," said the old lady.
"Yes, let Rebecca learn more from Brandon," added Madam Larson humbly.
The old lady was surprised, "Is that so? You studied architecture design abroad, didn't you?"
Rebecca nodded, "Yes, I just got my master's degree." Lisa said, "She's a top student. It's not easy to get a master's degree in a foreign country, especially in architecture design."
Madam Larson agreed, "Yes, she studied for so many years just to get a certificate. I told her she could have just studied in China, but she insisted on going to Yale University. Their architecture design program is the most difficult."
"Oh my, that's impressive. It's not Brandon taking care of you, it's you helping Brandon," joked Lisa, deliberately glancing at Victoria.
"Rebecca is really amazing. She comes from a good family and is also a good student. It's rare to see such girls nowadays. Some girls in China just want to marry a good man and don't have any aspirations for themselves," Lisa continued, knowing that Rebecca was referring to Victoria.
Rebecca smiled and pretended not to understand, turning to the old lady, "By the way, Madam, I heard that you want to rebuild the Duncan Family ancestral home. I have designed a blueprint for you to look at. Do you like this kind of architecture?"
The old lady became interested, "Yes, you all know about it. Unfortunately, I've hired several designers, but their designs were terrible. I guess it's my fault for having too many requirements. I always wanted them to enlarge the Duncan family crest and put it in the highest place. They all said it was too high and could collapse. I still haven't figured out a solution."
At this moment, she saw Rebecca's design drawing. On top of it was the Duncan family crest, shining brightly.
Her eyes lit up as she exclaimed, "Rebecca, you really read my mind. How did you manage to put the family crest up there?"

She glanced at Victoria behind her.
Victoria acted as if she hadn't noticed and suddenly stepped forward, interrupting their warm conversation. "Grandmother, do you need help with the ancestral home? I also studied architecture and can take a look at the blueprint."
Lisa was surprised and turned to the old lady, "Victoria also studied this?"
They hadn't paid attention to that before. All they needed was a woman who was easy to control and had a clean background for Brandon.
They didn't care about education or anything else.
