Chapter 125 Victoria needs to take care
Looking at Brandon, she had a heartache on her face. Elijah walked in, and Rebecca turned around and scolded, "How do you take care of people? He's in this state and you're still wandering around here. Why don't you send him to the hospital?" "Sir doesn't like to go to the hospital..." Elijah's mouth twitched. This young lady didn't know anything, but she would scold people as soon as she came up. But who made her the Larson Family's young lady? Elijah stood expressionless on the side, listening to her continue to blame, "If he doesn't want to go, can't you call a good doctor to come to the house? Does Brandon just keep you useless people?" Elijah couldn't help but think in his heart that the young lady of their family was better. The young lady would not indiscriminately scold people. At this time, there was another commotion outside. Victoria had come back. Elijah heard Victoria's footsteps as she entered the door. "Brandon is sick? How is he now?" Elijah heard the approaching footsteps and thought it was not good. But the door opened at this moment. Victoria had already come in. Her gaze fell on Rebecca in the room. Rebecca was sitting next to Brandon, holding a towel and wiping his forehead.
Upon seeing Victoria enter the room, Rebecca's expression turned cold. "Brandon is fine with me taking care of him. He doesn't like others touching him," Rebecca said firmly.
Victoria glanced at Brandon lying on the bed, seemingly in a restless sleep, and then at Rebecca's defensive stance. Victoria felt at ease and replied, "Alright, you can continue taking care of him. I'll go to bed first." Victoria thought Brandon only had a bad cold, and since he had always been healthy, she didn't think there would be any problem.
But then, Brandon heard something and struggled to open his eyes, weakly calling out, "Victoria."
Victoria stopped in her tracks.
Rebecca was taken aback and quickly lowered her head, speaking softly, "Brandon, are you awake? It's me, Rebecca."
He furrowed his brow and tried to lift his eyelids, but looked past her and towards Victoria behind her. His dry lips moved and he asked in a hoarse voice, "What are you doing here?"
Rebecca's hand trembled as she was ignored.
Brandon had overlooked her and was looking for Victoria?
Victoria turned back and said, "I heard you were sick, so I came to check on you. But since you have someone taking care of you, I'll leave first."
As she was about to leave, Brandon's voice became more urgent.
"Victoria, you're back," said Brandon.
Victoria couldn't help but look at Rebecca. "Isn't Miss Gu taking care of you?"
Rebecca quickly added, "Yes, Brandon, let me take care of you."
But Brandon still only looked at Victoria. "I told you to come back!"
Rebecca felt ignored and embarrassed, and with tears in her eyes, she stomped her foot and ran out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
As the door slammed shut, Victoria looked at Brandon with a blank expression.
Brandon tried to get out of bed, but almost fell. "Don't move," Victoria quickly went over and supported his body with both hands. He was almost two meters tall and heavy.
Victoria finally managed to get him back onto the bed. She felt his forehead, which was burning hot. "What happened? Why are you burning up like this? Did you go to the hospital?"
"The doctor checked me and said I had a sore throat, which caused a high fever. I took medicine, but it didn't help. As you know, Madam, Mr. has been lying in bed for a year. His body looks fine, but internally, he is weak, which is why this happened."
Victoria sighed and was about to get an ice towel to cool him down, but he grabbed her wrist.
"Victoria," he murmured with dry lips.
Elijah quickly said, "Madam, please stay here. I'll get whatever you need." Victoria could only sit down.
"This man just wants to mess with her," Victoria thought to herself.
After taking care of him all night, he had been talking nonsense the whole time. She had tried to listen carefully, but couldn't make out what he was saying. Eventually, he had fallen asleep. The next day, he was still not feeling well. Elijah spoke up, "Madam, the old lady is not feeling well either. Mr. Brandon was supposed to visit her today, but if you don't mind, could you go in his place?"
Victoria was surprised. "Is the old lady still not feeling well?"
"Yes, she has been unwell recently."
"Then I'll go and see her."
Victoria quite liked the old lady. Brandon seemed to be stable for now, so she decided to go to the old mansion alone.
When she arrived, the first person she saw was Lisa.
"Oh, you have the nerve to come here? You caused the old lady to get sick with anger after losing her grandchild. What are you doing here? If the old lady sees you, she'll only get angrier. You should leave."
Victoria remained calm. "Even if the old lady doesn't want to see me, I still want to check on her."
As she walked past, Lisa grabbed her. "Are you kidding me? The old lady has heard everything. You and Brandon had a fight and you want a divorce. Do you know why the old lady got sick? It's because of you wanting a divorce."
"What?" Victoria's eyes widened. She looked at Lisa with anger. "It was you who told the old lady, wasn't it?"
There was no way the old lady could have known about her private argument with Brandon. There must be a spy in the villa.
Lisa snorted, "You asked for the divorce yourself, and now you blame others for telling Old Madam."
Victoria gritted her teeth but still walked inside. "Old Madam, Miss Victoria is here," someone announced to the woman lying in bed.
The old lady immediately raised her head, disappointment written all over her face. "Victoria, I heard that you want to divorce Brandon. Is it true?" she asked.
Victoria didn't dare to lie. "Grandmother... he never really liked me. He was forced to keep me around when he was unconscious and had to marry me. Now that he's better, it's normal for us to divorce."
"No, it's because he forced you to have an abortion that you blame him, right? How can you be so hasty about marriage? I know Brandon has made mistakes, but he has suffered a lot since he was young. He's a bit paranoid, and you should give him a chance to change. You want a divorce right away... I was wrong about you, Victoria. I thought you could make him better," Old Madam scolded.
Victoria was stunned. She didn't blame Old Madam for siding with Brandon, even if she liked her. After all, she was Brandon's grandmother. She bit her lip and didn't dare to tell the truth. Seeing her reaction, Old Madam became even more disappointed. Just then, someone outside said, "Old Madam, Mrs. Larson and Miss Rebecca have arrived."
