Chapter 27

Carlos's pov

Finally, getting out of the car, I walked into my office, I was slowly losing it with Tara and Andrew.

As soon as I walked into the company building, Joyce walked up to me, with a wild expression on her face.

“What's the problem?” I asked her, but she instead turned back, I just knew there was someone probably I didn't want to see. I walked past her, getting into the elevator, she followed swiftly.

We got into my office, there I saw Stella twirling on my chair, I looked her,

“What's this nonsense, Stella? I thought I made it clear enough that my office is out of bounds for you” I frowned in displeasure, Stella looked a t me then rolled her eyes.

“And why should it be?” She asked, making me more upset.

“I told her sir, I tried to make her understand Sir_”Joyce says behind me trying to redeem herself.

“It's okay, Joyce. “Not that it was her fault, how would she be able to tell the boss's wife to leave if she didn't want to? Joyce gave a short bow then left, closing the doors behind her.

“What's with you?” I asked her, she flashed a small smile as she continuously twirled the leather chair around.

“ Your office is out of bounds for me but you instead visit Tara?” She asked, has she been trailing me?

My eyes darkened as I shot her a glare,

I breathe out, “So what are you insinuating?” I asked,

“I want us to get married.” She says standi nuo, walking up to me.

“Huh?” I took a step back, what happened to let's take things slowly?

“What's with the look?” She looked at me.

“I don't trust Tara. I want you all to myself,” she says walking up to me. I scoffed

“You don't have to try, you can't beat Tara.” I added, a slap cut across my Face, I stood there in shock, she did not just slap me?

”Stella?” I called this time with a deepened voice. Her face instantly went pale, the look of shock cut across her face not wanting to believe she had just slapped me.

“I…am s…orry” she stammered,

“Get the hell out of my office now “ I said to her,

She stood there with an apologetic look on her face,

“I said you should leave!” I yelled, she flinched then instantly took her bag dashing out of the office.

I went over then collapsed on my chair as I breathe out bitterly, I heard the door creaked open,

Did she return?

Still shutting my eyes I groaned ,

“I do not want to see you, Stella.” I said but got nothing in reply, it was as if there was a presence in the room but not talking.

I opened my eyes quickly to see a tall man, he looked familiar but not familiar at the same time.

“Who are you and how did you get past Joyce?” I asked, he looked at me, then smirked, he was fiddling with keys in his arms as he looked at me,

“Hi, Carlos.” He said, then took his seat shortly, I frowned, it was the audacity to still sit when I had not authorized him yet to sit.

“Excuse me, I didn't ask you to sit.” I said, he looked at me with his cold blue eyes, it had a dark expression in it.

He chuckled, “ I don't need to take permission to sit, do I?” His deep hoarse voice says.

“Who the hell are you?” I asked, looking at him, a man out of nowhere, walked into my office and offered himself a seat, and I wouldn't be surprised?

He dropped the keys, on my desk, then looked at me one last time before saying,

“I'll save you the stress, and go straight to the point.” He paused then turned to me again,

“My name is Elliot Hills and I think you need my help.” He stated, I drifted back, awe at his ego and pride,

“To think that I need his help” I scoffed.

“Wait a minute, Elliot Hills? I called again and this time he smiled.

“You can't be related to a certain Andrew Hills are you?” I asked, it was then the resemblance began to come out, although I could just see his side view but he was indeed familiar.

He was Andrew's brother. The ex CEO of Hills Enterprise.

“The one and only.” He added with a small smirk on his face, he looked at me then smiled, as he turned to face me fully.

“The same one who almost had his entire company bankrupt?” He frowned,

“I wouldn't want to be addressed as that.” He says, I chuckled,

“Oh really, it was on the News so it's not something of the past we can forget.” I said, he rolled his eyes to me,

“And I heard that a certain someone is after my company.” His words shook me, how did he get to know that?

“What certain someone?” I frowned, as I clenched my fist.

An evil grin plastered on his face, “ you wouldn't want to know about a certain Carlos Anderson, do you?” He asked, trying to play innocent.

He was charging at something, and keeping me tense. He knew something, and that is why he is here.

Without stating the reason for his coming I just knew it's not good.

Elliot Hills was not a good man. He is Ruthless, almost nothing like his father or brother.

He had connections, which is something everyone envied about him. Even Andrew struggled to take the company to where it was, but Andrew was drawing his strength from a different source which I am yet to know off.

I am just after one thing and that is Tara. If I have to take down Andrew ro have her to myself,

I would gladly take him out.

“You want something, don't you?” Elliot asked, breaking into my thoughts.

There was something about him I couldn't just figure out.

“Help me take down Andrew.” He says to me.
