Andrew's POV

“What the hell is Elliot doing here?” I turned to Tara, her expression was one I expected. I had wanted to tell her but haven't found the right moment. She was dealing with a lot at the moment, as telling her about Elliot wou be like adding to her already bulky problems.

“You have a brother?” She asked, looking me in the eye, I sigh, as I scratched my head with my hand, how do I begin to explain that I have an older brother who seems to loathe me more than the devil himself.

“Yes I do have a brother but….I wanted to tell you but I just didn't know how to “ His eyes searched the room then landed in Leo, as if asking for help to explain better to me.

Eilliot and I were not always the perfect siblings, although we had our fights and quarrels but we settled it often with the intervention of our late father.

Growing up, Elliot has always been the spoilt one, Mom had made sure he was given everything, although I was given but I had some restrictions to myself.

After graduating from college, Eilliot got the place of the CEO of the company after Dad died because he was the first born child even though dad had willed the company in my name, shortly after his stepping in, the company began to go bankrupt.

The board decided I was reinstated as the real owner of the company and since then I haven't set my eyes in Elliot in the three years he stormed out of the boardroom, on the day of the reinstation.

And after all those years, he walked into the company like nothing happened, after I tried to get the company back on it's feet and cleared the debts he had borrowed from loan sharks.

I was bittered and upset, but this was my elder brother we're talking about,

“It's not a very good story.” I said to Tara, “ my brother and I, have always be estranged to each other and there's nothing he can do to stop me from hating him for what he did.

Tara looked at me with pity in her eyes, I sniffed as I turned to Leo,

“Bring him in, it's not like this didn't have his father's company also.” He added, As Leo left the through the door, Tara smile at me

“I'd love to meet this brother of yours.” she says, I looked at her, she was excited, well she was about to be disappointed because my brother is not the one with humor.

The door opened, and he walked in, he didn't look different at all, his long hair was all gelled back, he looked like the ghost of his former self and apparently lost some weight.

The evident tattoos on his body were visible enough, I frowned as I saw him walk in with his usual smirk.

“Long time no see, Andy.” I frowned.

“What are you doing here?” I said with my tone with displeasure,

He looked at me , without saying anything, then dragged the seat and made himself comfortable. This was the Elliott I knew.

“What are you doing here? I asked again,

“You don't have to be like this all the time. It's high time we both see this pass “ he says, then turns to see Tara seated,

“I believe this is our new catch,” he began, Tara's face twisted into a frown,

“Elliot!.” I called, he turned to me with a painful smile,

“Elliot, no longer big bro…”

I turned my head away, “ you lost that the moment you did what you did.”

“That's in the past. Do you still hold things from the past.” I looked at him, and is he being serious right now, after leaving me to clean up his dirty mess, after collaborating with the loan sharks who almost killed me, for the money he ran away with.

I frowned deeply, “ You can't be serious now, are you?” I yelled, “ You put all of us in danger because of your carelessness.” He sat calmly watching me, I knew Eilliot, he was like a course in the university that I had passed with flying colors,

“If you weren't willing to work for the company, do you think you and I would be having this discussion right now?” He began, I looked at Tara, she was as well as shocked I had an insensitive brother who didn't seem to care.

“Don't think I left everything for you, I'll back to get back everything you've stolen from me” the anger was too much to hold, I stood up immediately as I pointed at the door,

“Get out of my office, before I call the security to throw you out.” I added, I've had enough with him. I tried to be a good brother but he didn't seem to care one bit.

He looked at me then at Tara,

“She's beautiful,” I didn't like the eye he was giving her,

“And this time she's out of your reach. Do not dare me this time.” I glared at him, after all the horrible things he had done to me in the past.

He looked at me then smirked, “ there are good things in this company which kinda amuses me.” He says again this time facing Tara. She quickly stood up, moving away from where she sat.

“I think you should leave.” She added, he looked at us one last time because he turned and then walked out the door,

Tara breathed out a deep sigh of relief as if she was holding her breath for a long time.

“Are you okay?” I asked, she fell to her seat, after coughing a bit.

“Your brother is a bag of bad luck” she says, I looked at her, then at the door in which he just walked in, he was not just a bag of bad luck,

He was bad news to both me and the company.

He had set his eyes on Tara and that was something that bothered me the most. Eilliot had hurt me badly in the past, even giving up my post as the CEO of the company was not enough, but had to spoil my joy three years ago.

“You should go” I said to Tara, she looked a t me not wanting to leave just like that seeing I was destabilized after he left.

“Are you sure?” She asked again, I nodded, she slowly walked out of the off, I crashed to my seat, picked up my telephone,

“Leo to my office now,” I said, then immediately hung up the call.
