Tara's POV

“I'm still in love with you.”

He says, I immediately turned to him trying to figure out out the rubbish he was sprouting out of his mouth.

“You love who?” I asked him,

“You.” He replied, making me laugh, it was funny and at the same time, not funny.

“Can we get to work? I have a target to hit by the end of today. You're just my client.” I added, squeezing my face into a frown.

I turned to my laptop as I scrolled through the presentation, I discussed in ways to get financed and other aspect, but as I spoke he looked at me all throughout, his gaze not living me.

“Can you please not look at me?” I said to him, as I turned to laptop again. Soon we wrapped up I stood up, about to leave when he stopped me,

“Do you really think Andrew is who he is? Don't you think he is hiding something from you?” My frown deepened, I froze in the spot then turned to him.

“Leave Andrew alone.” I stated, he looked at me then chuckled.

Raising his hand in mock surrender, “ fine..have it your way.” He says ashenfell back to the chair waiting for me to begin the meeting.

I not sure of what to feel exactly, and Carlos was right. I know nothing about Andrew, he just seems to appear and disappear.

I frowned, no way am I letting his words get to me.

After we were done, I turned to him.”I'll send the breakdown of this meeting to your secretary.” He nods, as he stretched out his hand for a handshake, I looked at the handshake, was he expecting me to take that?

“Have a nice day, Sir.” I added, drawing the chair I sat on backward, then headed for my office.

As soon as I got to my office, I immediately released my stomach, breathing out as I sigh in relief. My hand found it's way to my head, and yes, I was exhausted and nothing more.

Glory rushed to me, with the excitement on her face I could tell already she wanted all the beans spilled.

“How's Carlos Anderson? She asked me, my face immediately squeezed into a frown.

Glory laughs, “ what's with that look?” As she nudge me a little,

“He's a client, Glory.” I said, she rolls her eyes playfully.

“Even if, that does mean he will be one for the rest of his life now? She replied, I looked at her, she seemed my age mate and probably richer. Glory didn't seem like she came from the middle class, she dresses quite exquisite, which makes me to wonder why she was working for the Hills Enterprise.

“So for you Carlos seems to be a catch?” I asked looking at her. Funny, this was the same expression I had on my face when I met with Carlos now, I cant even say.

“Well, he seems cute but not as Leo.” She stated, I drifted looking at her, she burst into laughter,

“What? Why are you looking at me that way?” She asked amid laughter, I couldn't help it but chuckle a bit.

“Well, you should conclude until you get to know them. They could be rich or handsome and still be monsters.

“Well, which ever way” the door open and Dave peeped in,

“Hi Dave, “ I waved making Hlory turn to his direction.

“The boss request for you“ He says, handing me a file, I smiled, taking the file from him.

“Really.” I sprang up like one being stung by a bee.

I turned to Glory,” I'll be back” I said to her,

“Good luck in the lion's den”. She says, my lips curled into a small laugh.

I opened the door, Andrew was busy with some documents when I walked in,

“You still busy?” I asked, taking a seat.

“Is that how you behave when you walk into your bosses office.” He says with a teased, I rolled my eyes playfully.

“Not when my boss is my boyfriend.” I fired back with a sly smile on my face.

Andrew dropped an invitation on the table, I looked at the invite them back at him.

“What's that?” I asked,

“The Denex deal.” He stated, I immediately frowned, I completely forgot I was just with Carlos just now because of this same deal.

“What's with the new deal with Carlos?” I asked, sighs then drops the pen in his hands, as he fell back to his leather chair.

“The company suggested we came together. As a Shipping Company, Hills Enterprise would be responsible for the distribution of the products to Various parts of the world whilst The Ander-zons would be responsible for the Advertising sector. “ He stated, I frowned, this meant that I would be seeing Carlos more often than normal.

“Must it be the Ander-zons?” I asked, and he nodded sadly there was nothing he could do. I picked up the invite.

“A gala?” I said, looking up to him, he calmly nodded.

“The product would be launched on the 5th of this mountain which is in Friday.” He says, sitting up as he looked at me.

“But Carlos would be there and so would Stella.” I stated. The seeing those two, made my blood boil. I would want to be caught dead in the same room as them.

“He will be there as our business partner and not your Ex.” I sighed, maybe Carlos was right, fate kept bringing us to the same space and shoving our past down our throats.

“I just don't want him around.” I added.

“What if I wan idenfied? I was once Carlos wife and not many knows about our fall out?”

“Leo would be there. And your identity would be perfectly covered.”

“Anyways, Nanny Dorothy says you should drop by most of the time. She misses you.” I said, twirling around the chair,

“I'll try to_” the door opened and Leo walked in looking a bit disoriented, he looks at Andrew,

“What's going on?” He asked Leo,

Leo looked at me then at Andrew. Like he was asking for his permission of I was allowed to know what he was about to say, he finally turned to me then back to Andrew.

“Your brother is downstairs, he says he is looking for you?”

“Andrew has a brother?”
