Tara's POV

She stood there giving me a disgusting look, she looked like she had just arrived too.

“Stella,” I breath out disappointedly, she rolled her eyes,

“What are you doing here?” She asked, like she was the chair pilot of the mansion she stood in. If not for Carlos' stupidity then this wouldn't be happening.

“What's that supposed to mean? I scoffed,

“It's not like you own this place. Apparently, leeches don't own things? They feed off their host.” I said with a sly look, she frowned, clenching her teeth, trying to hold herself from lashing out but I dare her to do so, I'll give her a piece of my mind.

“Rubbish!” I cursed within myself.

I heard Carlo's voice from inside as he descended the stairs,

“Tara?” He was a bit shocked that I was standing by his front door.

“What are you doing here? Does Andrew know you're here?” She asked, I turned to Stella, as she frowned, apparently, she didn't know I had someone new.

I looked at her, I walked in, walking past her, ignoring her eyes that held questions.

“I came here to talk to you.”I said to him, he was taken aback by my courage. Then smirked then sat down.

“So what's the problem?” he asked, I frowned then crossed my legs as I looked at them both of them. The two people I loved the most united and then betrayed me without even thinking twice.

Stella stood there as she looked at me, she was tense and trying not to burst out but on intervals, she placed her hands on her waist then finally sat down.

I took a deep breathe then said to her,

“Leave Andrew alone “ I said to him, my face firm and straight as I said, my eyes fixed on him. He looked at me, then burst into a loud laughter as Stella joined in with a mockery laughter.

“You do have guts Tara. I should give that to you. “ he said, after Sharing a hearty laugh with Stella.

“I am not joking, Carlos.” I stated,

“Carlos? What happened to Babe?”

“Excuse me.” My face squeezed into a frown as I brought down my legs, was he high in something or what? What should I expect? Zero respect.

“You are well excused. You should stay away from my man, Tara. “ Stella Intruded.

“Your man?” I smirked, "How sure are you that he's not being snatched outside.” I said, she was taken aback as she glanced at Carlos then at me. Well, what does she expect from a cheating man? Loyalty? Oh my Jingles” I laughed lightly.

When it was time for me to leave, I stood up.

“Coming here was a waste of my time. But Carlos please, I have moved in so stay away from me.”I said, looking at Stella's face, which went pale, like she had seen a ghost.

“Goodbye.” And with that, I stepped out of the house, closing the big metal door behind me.

As soon as the night breeze grazes my skin, I breathe out, apparently I've been holding my breath there.

My heart was literally pounding out of my chest like I just returned from a marathon.

I placed my hand on my chest, my heart was still beating. What courage I had to come to the place of my worst nightmare with two people who hurt me in it.

My cell phone began to ring, I checked the call, it was Andrew. I think I've annoyed him enough for today, I walked out of the Marie Estate, as I booked a ride going to the house.

It was not until a few minutes, my Uber arrived, I entered, as I fell to the chair, breathing out, after a deep sigh.

“Where to ma'am?” The Uber drivt asked.

“Golden Estate, please.” I said to him

The drive was smooth and long, finally, I got home.

I opened the door shortly to see Andrew standing there looking at me with concern and anger in his eyes.

“Tara? What was that stunt you pulled out there?” He asked, demanding for an explanation.

”I think you should calm down. It's not that deep. I just went with Dave, we just talked and passed time.” I said,

“You just talked and passed time?” He asked again, I nodded, at this point, Nanny Dorothy walked down the stairs in her nighties, her face was a bit puffy and eyes red from her deep sleep, she looked up at me, apparently, the noise work her up

“Tara? Are you just coming?” She asked looking at the time in the clock that's as hung on the wall.

“So sorry, Nanny.” I said to her, but Andrew stood there with a disappointing look.

“You were with Dave? But why is your location stating Marie Estate?” He flashed his phone to my face as I saw it, my eyes widened in shock.

How did he…? I looked at him with an arched brows,

“Really? You were tracking me? Andrew?”

What was I supposed to do? You left off with Dave, someone you do not know. What if something had happened? But Marie Estate? That was the last place I expected you to be. What were you doing at Carlo's house?

“Really?” I looked at him in disbelief then tossed my baby on the bed as I charged at him.

“I just went there to tell him to stay away from us. It's obvious he's playing a game.” I said, his face immediately softened.

“Even though, Tara. You shouldn't have gone there. Carlos is bad, like bad bad bad.” My heart skipped a bit as I remembered the smirk on his face.

“Fine, I'm sorry. But I did it for us. I just wanted closure. That was all “ I said, he sighs then pulled me close to him, as he hugged me deeply, patting my head.

“So did you get the closure you needed?” He asked me, I nodded my head then said.

I just can't believe that man was the love of my life a month ago. I was so stupid.” I teased then laughed at my own joke.

“Naaah, you were not blind, he was just too dumb to notice.” Andrew fired back, making me crack up in Laughter.

“I see you two have made up, I'm going to bed now.” Nanny Dorothy says going upstairs back to her room.
